Very helpful and polite staff. Very easy system to use. Cleanest storage place I've seen.. and I have had about 15 in my time! Peaceful, quiet, pleasant, no hassle. Brilliant, really.

I tried to arrange a change of day, but it seems there was a misunderstanding and communication with the manager AB at Ruislip. I thought he could do it as I needed it to charge day to a later day, but he explained that was not possible.
However, I understood something different the last time we spoke on the phone, and I trusted he could change the days (or so I understood).
To my surprise, I received a charge last month on the 18th, and no changes took place. I genuinely thought he changed it to this month, but nothing changed as I received the invoice this morning.

The lack of communication and flexibility leaves me with little choice when something as simple as changing the charging the day is very complicated from the customer’s side, one of the primordial reasons I wish to leave Shurgard.

Even though I spoke to them over the phone, there was no callback however, before taking the storage I was chased with incessant calls to sell me the unit, saying it was the last unit and pressing on the sale!!

I am not sure if a company should have customer service with little aid for the client when something as simple as changing a day cannot be attained.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Everything was easy. Clearly explanation. Good access to storage and size.

I would like thank the manager AB who was very helpful. He answered all my questions and provided me with the invoices I requested as well as helping download the App for me to gain access using my mobile phone.

The whole process of selecting a self storage unit on line with Shurgard was very easy. Once payment was made and a start date agreed it as just a simple case of downloading the App. The App allows you to access the storage site and is very straight forward to use making the whole experience a pleasure to use.

Not a great experience with Shurgard. They entice you with the 1pound offer but the room is not good. Mine had an obstruction which really wasn't going to work. When i complained, they moved me without informing me that the room I was being moved to (same size) was double the full cost of the initial room. Now my account has been debited without my consent. I called 3 times in 1 day and couldn't get through to Ruislip. 3 different stores took messages which they said they would forward but no one has got back to me days after.

I am absolutely appalled by Shurgard Self Storage. They took my money and terminated my services at their own convenience, ignoring the date I specified. Their phone support contradicts their written communications, demonstrating complete indifference to resolving issues. It’s blatantly clear they have no regard for their customers or the items stored. Avoid this company at all costs. They are an utter disgrace, and I will be warning everyone to steer clear of their incompetence and deceit.

Storage unit as expected. Communication with customer service awful, not helpful when wishing to cancel, rude when asking to clarify terms. Misleading selling on site, stating weekly cost of unit on the site, but apparently weekly isn’t possible, neither are refunds. Watch out!

John at Shurgard Ruislip is one of the kindest and most knowledgeable professionals that I have met in the customer service sector. When I walked into my local Surgard to enquire about their self-storage units as a solution to increase my studio's storage space, not only did John understand my budget as a young professional, but he went the extra mile to ensure that they offered me the best fit for my belongings. It’s simply awesome way to store your important stuff.

I didn't have a good experience in this storage because they removed my triathlon equipment which costs around 2,500 pounds, a 55-inch TV, documents such as passport, certificates and household appliances!! I had a loss of around 3,000 pounds and I haven't heard back by email to find out where my things ended up!!! I don't recommend anyone leaving anything there!! I'm very sad and angry because it wasn't easy to get everything I lost and I had to work a lot to get my triathlon equipment, which included a helmet, a Cervelo P3 carbon bike and all the equipment I acquired over the years!!

Easy to set up on line

Whilst I understand that it's not shurguards fault that hs2 has taken over a third of the parking area at the same time altering access times from 6am to 7am has meant I'm now moving to big yellow. I've sent 3 emails to head office asking for a reduction to my rent due to the above, not only did I not get it they didn't even bother replying. Surely losing a third of parking, actually hs2 has restricted my access when the entrance has been blocked, reducing access times deserves a reduction. Shurgard would have received payment from the government for hs2 so why not pass it onto customers for inconvenience.
