Alles verliep soepel en duidelijk. Ik werd vooraf meerdere keren gebeld om ervoor te zorgen dat alles op tijd geregeld was en ik precies wist hoe alles werkte. Heel tevreden met de service!

This service is a scam. Do not go there. No lock provided. The Amstel facility manager does not answer emails nor phone calls. I want a refund!

Easy to get inside and find the storage room and you also get insurance. Nothing to complain about.

Unless you want to rent the space for longer than one month, make sure to cancel your subscription immediately after getting the storage unit, because you have a 30 days notice. I did that in person, it was rather quick. You can do it via email as well.

The service is good enough.

Pros:
Open on Sunday.
Availability of the desired size.
The space is the expected size and shape, and that shape (a cube of three meters in our case) is very convenient.
Good instructions by the employee.
Good support by the employee.
Good parking space in front of the facility (Amstel)
Reasonable prices.

Cons:
Only one vehicle at a time can park in front of the only lift.
The doors of the only lift must be closed manually. Therefore, if one forgets it others cannot use it.
The corridors are a bit narrow, which makes moving the goods a bit difficult, also when inserting them into the room.
There are doors that close automatically, without being locked. I don't understand why they don't stay open instead.
The only first lift malfunctions often. Either not starting or stopping half way. I had to call for assistance and they quickly unstuck it.

Vriendelijk personeel, net gebouw en gemakkelijke ingang.
Ik kreeg initieel een ruimte toebedeeld die niet schoon was en een kier had, welke vlot geruild kon worden voor een andere.
Ik zou shurgard aanbevelen.

Een telefonisch verzoek om een mondeling gedane toezegging van een medewerker van de vestiging aan de Amstel, werd op onfatsoenlijke wijze geweigerd

Shurgard - net als alle andere cowboy opslagverhuurders - gaat je hoe dan ook belazeren. Bereid je maar voor.
Je wordt weliswaar gelokt met grote kortingen. De voorwaarden waar je mee akkoord moet gaan, worden zo geschreven dat Shurgard het recht behoudt om al snel, en daarna meerdere keer per jaar, de prijs te verhogen.
Je kan er niets aan doen anders dan om te huren voor de minimale contractduur.. En daarna bij de grote kortingsacties, sluit je een nieuwe contact af op naam van een familielid. Tegelijkertijd zeg je de bestaande contract op en hopen dat de oude en nieuwe opslaghok bij elkaar in de buurt zijn. Maar nogmaals, ze zijn allemaal geldwolven. Doe je voordeel mee

I am so glad I found this company in Amsterdam! As a student, I am switching housing more often, and finding a safe place to store your belongings during any type of moving out, vacations, etc is the best thing I could find!! Very comfortable, you have acces by your key and code whenever you need. The staff is very friendly and helps you with all the information you need. Everything is clean and well organised, with trays for harder belongings, packing stuff you could choose from etc
