Absolute rip off. Don’t pay for this crap. You don’t get access to the shows.

⭐ 1 star — Paid twice. Got nothing. Asked to pay AGAIN.

I actually signed up reluctantly because my mum wanted to watch some of Shortical’s content. It seemed a bit dodgy from the start, but I thought, fine, let’s give it a go. Turns out my first impression was right.

I was charged R$45.91 twice within 27 minutes for Shortical. Same card, same email. R$91.82 in total.

And what did I receive for that?

Nothing.

No confirmation email. No receipt. No T&Cs. No login details. No access to an account. Nothing.

When I tried to log in with the email I used to make the purchase, Shortical didn’t recognise my subscription. Instead, it tried to get me to buy another subscription AGAIN.

I contacted support and explained the situation very clearly. I chased them three times. The only response I received was the initial automated/AI-generated email, which completely ignored the actual points I had raised. There was no meaningful response to my follow-ups.

I then explicitly asked for written confirmation of three very simple things: a full refund of both charges, cancellation of any subscription/automatic renewal, and deletion of my personal data. Still nothing.

This should not be difficult.

How can you charge someone twice, provide no access whatsoever, and then ask them to pay again when they try to access what they’ve already paid for? And then ignore them when they ask for their money back?

I’m now having to chase this with my bank as well.

So yes, it seemed dodgy at first, and unfortunately the actual experience has done absolutely nothing to change that impression.

I would think twice before giving this company your card details.

On the reviews on the App page it boasts a 4.7 of good reviews
I give only 1star because of the way the stories are given to viewers.
The stories are very interesting and graphics are great but I can only see one or no episodes a day. Told ‘coming soon’ is a joke. I have a yearly subscription but it makes no difference. So don’t subscribe, just don’t!! i

Shortical is sending me around in circles in my efforts to cancel their subscription. I didn't pay them via Google or Apple. Very dissatisfied with them.

The only reason I am giving a star is because I am forced to in order to leave a review. PLEASE DON'T GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR MONEY! I paid for the VIP membership and it limited me to only watch the episodes I had already watched on Instagram for free. Although it is showing 90 episodes, it locks the episodes so you can only watch one a day. The locked episodes date all the way to December, it is September 22nd today. I tried to watch a 2nd series that I had already made previous progress on over a month ago and it started me all the way back at the beginning and once again, locked all the others to only unlock one episode a day. You are better off logging in to the app and using the 7 free episodes a day if you watch 7 ads. I got much further that way! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Very disappointing — think twice before subscribing.

I paid for a 2-week subscription expecting to have access to the episodes, but I have barely been able to watch anything. Some days, I only get about 1 minute and 30 seconds of video, and on other days there is no new episode at all.

I paid for a subscription and feel that I have not received what I paid for. This has been a very frustrating experience.

I would strongly recommend checking exactly what content is included and how often new episodes are released before paying for a subscription.

I paid for credits on the Shortical app, but the credits were never added to my account. The payment was successfully charged, but I did not receive what I paid for. I would like the credits to be added to my account immediately or receive a full refund. Very disappointing experience.

They have great and professional content but:
You pay membership but they let you watch a few episodes in the beginning. Then one episode per day and many of their content stops halfway.
I really love what they offer but im also disappointed.
It seems like they are deceiving people to make more money.

Det er meget frustrerende at have betalt for en vare, som jeg ikke har modtaget, samtidig med at det ikke er muligt at få kontakt med virksomheden.
På baggrund af min oplevelse kan jeg derfor ikke anbefale virksomheden. Jeg håber, at de enten leverer produktet eller refunderer mine penge og vender tilbage på min henvendelse.

SHORT ENTERTAINMENT LLC are developers of this app. It’s a SCAM. You sign up to time- limited offer but they charge you three times the offer. Then after you move to the app they cut you off and restrict your watching. DO NOT USE

This is a scam.

1. They first allow you to sign in with any email but when you try to log in again, that option is not available and you can only sign in through google, ie not through your email. So you can't sign in again.

2. They never send a confirmation email

3. They offered half price at $7.99 for a week but then charged $15.

4. Tons of reviews on facebook make similar claims

Dont pay for this. The free episodes works, after you paid you noticed that episodes even not finished yet and you should be member for months if you want to see complete movie. And again if there is 17 episodes then its only 12 of them there works. So don’t waste your money on those scammers.

Don't pay to watch any of their episodes, because when you do, you won't be able to watch what you paid for, and contacting them for support is difficult. Just wait for the free episodes. I'm trying to get a refund. I paid twice, first on Instagram and then on the app, but the episodes I paid to watch on Instagram were still locked on the app, as if I never paid to watch them already on Instagram. That means I'm paying to watch the same episode twice, and I used the same email and Apple Pay on both Instagram and the app.
Don't say I didn't warn you. Yes, their films are very good, but their system is very BAD.

I ordered an one time episode on app and they charged my bank card the following month without my permission. I emailed them immediately when I noticed the charge on my bank account. They have not emailed my back yet. It has been two days and no one reached out yet. Dont order anything from this company. Stay anyway from them. They will charge your card. Please read the subscription policy. They said they will continue to charge your card even if you cancel or delete your account. So change your credit card or bank card immediately. They will rob you. Then they will ignore your emails.
