They printed my home address on business checks. When I tried to contact customer service I never found a way to talk to a real person so I emailed through their website. They responded fairly quickly and said they would process a refund. I paid $28 for a basic small set of checks and received a refund for $7. No explanation as to why the amount and no answer since then from anybody. Stay away.

I thought I was ordering 400 checks. I received 320. When I called to inquire I called 4 different numbers before I reached one which stated I had ordered 320.
I will not use them again.

Ridiculous shipping costs. Bait and switch.

I have used Checks In The Mail for years, never had any issues...until lately. On one occasion they sent me a duplicate order and billed me for both. I called and they refunded the money for the duplicate order. My latest issue is with checks not tearing cleanly on the perforations - I've had to cut them out of the check book. As I understand things, this company is no longer a privately-owned company, but is now owned by a mega-conglomerate. Unfortunately, I'll be looking for another company to provide my checks.

Ordered checks June 23. Received a shipping notice on June 27 that says it's expected to arrive July 14 but with no tracking information. Should not take 3 weeks. In addition, though I have an order number, the system has glitches in it so I can't locate the order and there's no receipt attached to the order confirmation (nor production notification nor delivery notification). Horrible. Have used this company in the past with no problems.

Tried to reorder checks, have been using this company for years. As soon as I typed in my checking account information, an error page came up!
Asked me to re enter info, I did this three times.
Am I being scammed?

I tried to cancel an order within an hour of making it. Due to the one to two day delay it takes to reach a live representative, by the time a rep could review the request, it was too late to cancel the order.

Over priced ripoff. Their products are terrible. Skimpy registry books, just a few pages in each one. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Placed a rush order on Jan 14th, and was notified that additional info was needed from my bank (which I forwarded immediately)
Spent approximately 10 days (and numerous hours on hold) trying to reach someone to check status, as well as contacting by email. Today (March 9th) I FINALLLY got through to a customer service agent, who informed me that my order had been canceled (with no reason given)

The checks were never received. You can ask for support and the auto confirm advises they will get back to you within 24 hours, but never do. This is a scam business I think.

I filled out the online reorder form, then decided to go back and add fraud protection. I got an error message telling me to push a button to return to my order. No button. I tried to return to the order. I was given an 800 number answered by an unhelpful robot. I've order from CITM for years, but I'm going elsewhere.

This company overcharges for everything and they don't tell you about the handling charges until after you've paid. Who charges for handling anymore, even after you have overcharged for shipping and take 3 weeks to ship anything. Stay away from this company

I tried a small order of checks to test them out. The ordering process fine, and the price is low if you use standard shipping. The problem with their standard shipping is that it takes forever. My order took 16 days to arrive. It looks like this company is set up to make their money on shipping charges if you do not want to wait 16 days and if you want tracking. Requesting a decent shipping option would have doubled the cost of my order. It looks like they use Harland Clarke to actually print the checks because that name was on the address label. Many of the reviews here are from people who seemed to have problems with their order. My order was fine, just slow.

I was double charged for my order of checks. I have been calling them for the last 3 months about my refund. Each time I am told that the refund will be mailed to me. I am still waiting!

so if they supplied checks as they did in the past, there wouldn't have been a problem. but no, they have downsized your orders from 200ct to 80ct. no warning. i used to get a book of 5 sheaths of checks but this time only 2 . bad business! after reading the complaints i suspect they will be gone shortly. i'm done. will find another supplier. glen

Terrible "service." nobody answered their phones. Went to another provider. Don't you care about your business or making money? Why are you even in business?

AI robot asked for routing and account #. I proided it then asked for agent. Spent nearly 20 minutes hearing the the same loop of pitches for "personalized stamp and "check armor." Finally hung up

Dreadful, shameful "customer service." You saved money; you lost a customer (lots of customers, I'd bet).

I have been using this company for 30+ years and have never had a issue, until now! Received my order and 1 package was missing, so I called and was on hold for over a hour! When I finally had someone on the line they said I had to wait till 6/2/2025 because that was the estimated delivery date. Today 6/6/2025 I called to let them know the checks were still not here. I was told I needed to wait till 6/15/2025 because that was the expected delivery date! That did not end well! They could not tell me were the missing 80 checks were and I should probably call my credit union to stop payment on those 80 checks! Called the credit union and was told I would have to close my account and open a new account to be safe because of course all my info is printed on the checks! I will never use Checks in the mail again!!

This company has become terrible! I waited on hold one hour and forty five minutes. No one answers your call; I emailed them twice and no response. I have a problem with my order. I’ve been using checks in the mail for at least 15 years with no problems. What has happened to their customer service? I’m shocked and horrified and I will never use this company again for my checks. Sad and pitiful how low they have become.

Would have given a "0" if available. There site has been having issues, instead of warning customers, they take orders, payment, but never acknowledge order. Believe this is a fraudulent site....stay away.
