Very easy software to create a book, great quality product and fast despatch time, I will be using Saal as my go to printing service.

I have order my saal digital photo book ordered Professional line phot book with matte Fujifilm prints. The planning of the photo book and order process was fine. Able to use an auto placement of photos with an ability to edit te aet up too. delivery on time but what i was disappointed by was the print on what looks like card rather that photo quality pages. The cover with leatherette is professional but the pages inside were not as luxurious. I felt the matte online was mirepresented and not eay to see what the difference was between glossy or matte. I purchased witha voucher but given the result i have had better quality pages from other photo book retailers with the price i paid for delivery and what the voucher didn't cover

Overall I am pleased with the results.

I found the software somewhat challenging to use but to be fair, I’m in my seventies and once I’d got used to it, it was pretty flexible.

The quality of the book cover, pages etc. is very good although the book is slightly warped and doesn’t close 100%. The printing is sharp on the gloss paper and everything was set out precisely. The problem I found was reproducing what was on my MacBook screen in print. A lot of the printed images a bit dark and they were subdued in terms of colour saturation. I know that Saal offers colour profiles but I read the description and to be honest I didn’t understand it.

Saal gave me a voucher so that I could adjust the images and reprint the book which was very fair of them. The results were more pleasing although a few of the images were too saturated now.

Delivery was quick and apart from a few reservations, I’m quite pleased with the results.

The quality of the book was first rate as was the preferring and delivery. My only frustration was the time and attempts it took me to get my first picture book right! Lots of trial and error on my part with the various layouts, text boxes and designs, probably not helped doing it on my phone. Practical advice - consult YouTube beforehand!

Fast. Very very easy to design the photo book even in the personalised method. Photo prints are a cut above all the others I/ve used so far. Fast printing and arrived here a few days later. A book that looks like it'll last an age.

I've used Saal several times before and it's always an excellent experience. I ordered three large prints on this occasion and the quality is superb. I'd certainly recommend this company for all photography needs.

Professional Line Book very impressive. I have used other companies for photo-books before but the Saal version is far better. The cover is a heavy thick acrylic, and the pages are a weighty gloss stock. Overall the book looks very special. Will definitely use Saal Digital again.

The Photobook was fine and I am happy with the quality as well as the layout and printing. However, delivery from DHL was a nightmare. They said they would deliver the following Friday ( I made arrangements to be home and had to juggle hospital appointments and a car service) and then sprang on me they were delivering on Tuesday when I was at a Funeral. This was hugely annoying and frustrating to the point I am probably not going to use Saal again because of this. DHL just need to do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. Why tell me Friday and make it Tuesday. You might as well just turn up when you feel like it and chuck it over my fence. DHL let Saal down bigtime and they need to know about this as it will impact on Saals business and what is a perfectly good product. However, this delivery debacle caused huge amounts of stress on the day of my aunts funeral having to call several people so someone could be home to sign for s relatively expensive photobook. I dont feel very valued as a customer!

Software made compiling a book relatively easy. The service was speedy, the finished product was great quality and it arrived well packaged. This is the second time I have used Saal Digital and will definitely do so again.

I’ve used Saal Digital products a few times now, and my experience has honestly been a mix of impressive quality with a few frustrating moments along the way.

The biggest positive for me is definitely the finished product quality. The photo books feel incredibly premium, with thick pages, vibrant colours and really sharp image detail. The layflat binding gives everything a professional look, especially for landscape or travel photos spread across two pages. Their packaging and delivery have also been reliable and surprisingly fast in my experience.

That said, the design software can sometimes feel awkward and overly complicated. While it offers loads of customisation, I found certain tools clunky and not always intuitive, especially when moving photos around or adjusting layouts. At times it felt more aimed at photographers or experienced users rather than someone wanting a quick and simple photo book.

I also noticed that some of the photos appeared a little smaller than expected on certain pages, which made a few layouts feel slightly crowded or less impactful than they looked during the design stage. While the images were still clear and beautifully printed, I would have preferred larger photo sizing in some sections of the book.

Although the quality is excellent, the prices can add up quickly once you start adding premium covers, glossy pages or extra spreads. For special occasions or if you have a voucher to use, then it’s definitely worth it, keepsake albums I think it’s worth it, but I probably wouldn’t use Saal for cheaper everyday photo books.

Overall, I’d say Saal Digital products feel luxurious and high-end once they arrive, but getting there can require a bit of patience. If quality matters most, they’re definitely impressive — just don’t expect the easiest or cheapest experience.

I got a photobook from Saal Digital, the quality is amazing! The colours are printed beautifully on gloss paper. The layout was easy to organise on the desktop app and delivery was speedy! Would definitely recommend :)

I’m an enthusiastic amateur photographer, and wildlife is my main passion. After returning from a four-week whale conservation trip in Tenerife, I really wanted to create a special photo book to remember the experience. I had been disappointed with the quality of other companies in the past, so I was hesitant.
I also wanted to create a photo book as a 40th birthday gift for a friend, but I didn’t trust that other companies would provide the quality I was looking for.
Saal has been amazing. The paper and cover quality are excellent, and the photos are so vibrant. The template was also really easy to use, which made the whole process simple and enjoyable.
I am absolutely thrilled to have found a company that is genuinely worth the money.

I’m extremely disappointed with my order from Saal Digital.
Not only are the black-and-white prints washed out and low contrast, but the cropping is also terrible. Important parts of the subjects, including the tops of heads, were cut off in a very awkward and unprofessional way.
These are family portraits meant for wall display, and the final result looks careless and poorly produced. The prints do not reflect the uploaded images or the premium quality advertised by Saal Digital.
