I am the only person in my household who regularly drink coffee. I appreciate the idea of sending coffee in small packages so that I can try more varieties within one order.

Excellent service.
There was a problem with my order and they were quick and very cordial in fixing it. They even offered me a free sample of a coffee I wanted to try which was discontinued. Amazing experience.

Makes sense in the founder mentality. And it’s possible that it’ll eventually work for this one business. It’s also possible that it’ll cause issues in the overall scene without replacing that with any significant benefit.

I did cancel my subscription and wish them good luck. Negative behaviour doesn’t mean they’re not “good people”. It just means that we won’t establish rapport in this context.

I won’t actively recommend against it unless people ask me. In which case, I’ll actively promote other options.

(After reading the reply about the context, I stand by my review of the service itself. As for my own context: I got followed by their Twitter account, got curious, and subscribed to the service from my phone, where the FAQ wasn’t visible at any point. The model of assessing someone’s tastes based on the feedback process described in the FAQ runs counter to a lot of the efforts done across the coffeescene for years. I’m not in that business by any stretch of the imagination. I do care about coffee lovers getting more involved in selecting coffee beans which will enhance their experiences. As I stated in my review, this isn’t a customer service issue, anymore. That was solved some weeks back. It’s about the core service, which Trustpilot asked me to rate.)

Everything is perfect ! The coffee is really good (one of the bag I received had been roasted the day before!) and the delivery-person was really nice. I highly recommend this service !

Excellent experience so far with the delivery, quality of beans, flavours and customer service. Being greeted at my door with a smile (I assume as they wore a mask) and the words "coffee delivery" was great. Wish the sealed bags were a bit easier to open. Could be me or a one off for my batch, but when I try to open it I end up tearing the bag, so need transfer to another container. Looking forward to my next box.

Order was just as expected, delivered in timely manner and beans are good. The bag is really not great, difficult to open up and not ideal to store beans, but if you can store the beans anywhere else then that's not an issue.

Love it so far, can't wait to see my taste profile and understand exactly what it is I like with every coffee.

Would like dose, yield, extraction time suggestions for espresso so I don't waste so much coffee dialing in and have a guide to start with for EACH coffee.

Would be nice to have more information on each coffee, some history with the farmer, full transparency, what the farmers are planning to do in terms of sustainability and improving their farming practices etc.

Would also be helpful to have an environment section on the page or just added to the FAQ to highlight the environmental components that you find out after subscribing and/or asking questions: shipping box reusable, 1$ deposit, coffee bags compostable (removing the metal tie), the sustainability of the farmers, transportation, everything. It's helpful for consumers to make the right choice when choosing where they buy their coffee and if this is something RBB is doing as a default, it's important to highlight that!
