I have rated it this low because 3 times I have ordered frozen food, baring in mind it is for hatchling ball pythons. Everytime the food has been the wrong size and too big. The rack I brought does not hold the heat like advertised and it was matched with the cheapest heat mats and thermostats imaginable. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact them and I am just ignored. I sent a message 3 months ago and am still awaiting a response.

Just got my first order from Ridgeway frozen food and I have never used them before, so you're always a bit dubious about using a new company for the first time and I'm very impressed it arrived before the allotted time and all still frozen, which was my concern as they can't guarantee that they will arrive in that state unless you pay for higher delivery fee which for me when you're already paying £12.99 is a bit annoying but they arrived and I'm happy but I will buy in bulk so I can try to avoid the warmer months so not to have that issue, they were well packed and all a good size and it was a quick turn around on my order so I would recommend them but just keep in mind what I mentioned above and I don't think you will go wrong very good 👍🏼

We've been buying our frozen reptile food from Ridgeway Frozen for years and honestly can't fault them. The quality of the products is consistently excellent — everything arrives well-packaged and in great condition. Prices are fair, and the next-day delivery option is well worth the reasonable cost, especially when you need to keep your reptiles' feeding schedule on track. Never had a bad experience with them, and we'll keep coming back. Highly recommended!

UPDATE! after writing the review below I finally got a reply.
This was their answer.
Quite frankly we don’t want your business you are 1 of 1000s of customers and you email and message over and over again when we can’t just use our crystal ball and get answers from the courier within minutes of your email or message. We have refunded the order so you are not out of pocket and would suggest going to another supplier that is happy to deal with disrespectful and aggressive emails and messages over something we simply do not control. We are sorry if we can’t just respond straight away but it would be a waste of everyone’s time to reply to an email when we have no answers to give.

I did use words such as fiasco and diabolical customer service, which considering, is definitely acceptable, but the only disrespecting going on is their attitude to customers who complain. I notice other reviews on.here felt the same way. The ordereventually arrived, was not packed in ice and completely defrosted and smelling. I cannot give it to my cat for risk of him getting ill from it. They say they will refund my money but we shall see, in the scheme of things £57 may not be much but its money i cant afford to throw away.

I have been ordering mice, chicks and rat regularly for some time despite the face that on 3 occasions their site charged me twice and had to get a refund. I buy from them because I like the product and so does my cat, however, my experience this time has been atrocious! I had notification of my order arriving wednesday, it didnt arrive, I emailed asking where it was and was told it would arrive thursday, it did not. I emailed again and asked them to call me which they ignored a further 5 emails were ignored plus another request for a phone call. I got an email late morning to say that they would arrive today, I even got a message from the currier stating it would arrive between 12.41 and 2.41, it hasn't arrived. It is also a different currier than the company had before and I still have had no phone call from Ridgeway. If my order arrives defrosted after this fiasco, I will be seeking my money back. Not a happy customer, this is just the last straw and I now have to find another supplier. 😡

This was my 4th time ordering frozen reptile food from Ridgeway Frozen.

I placed an order worth £130 for frozen reptile food. Unfortunately the delivery company made an error, and the parcel was placed on the wrong van. It arrived 24 hours later than scheduled and, unsurprisingly after an extra day in transit, the entire order was completely defrosted and ruined. I rejected the delivery, as I felt I shouldn't be left responsible for disposing of £130 worth of hazardous, defrosted waste due to a courier delay, and informed the driver of this reasoning and that it needed to be returned to the sender.

When I contacted Ridgeway Frozen to inform them, the response was surprisingly abrupt and rude. There was zero apology for the failed delivery or the inconvenience caused to me, just a defensive demand for photographs to "prove" it was defrosted.

While they did eventually send out a replacement after being pressed, the initial lack of accountability, poor communication, and defensive customer service left a very bad impression. They’ve still not apologised and I feel they dealt with me quite rudely considering I wasn’t at fault for anything.

It’s a shame, because the price and quality of the food is exceptional. However, the customer service when something goes wrong is abysmal.

Easy to shop on the website. Rodents and other products arrive swiftly and well packed. The quality of their products gives me complete trust in the company and I know I’m providing the best for my animals

I have ordered a few times from Ridgeway and honestly I cannot fault them. Their service is very good. Website was easy to understand for a not so tech savvy person as myself, Picked the items, paid and waited for 2 days. Quick delivery, items came fully sealed, still frozen. Quality of the frozen, perfect!what I also liked was the delivery driver said he had strict instructions NOT to take my order back to the depot.

This time the order came on day expected and all mice correct size

For 400 pi kies was just 72 pound
My cheapest local would have cost me 170 for same amount

Perfect. Great communication and updates regarding order progression. Great delivery service. Items still completely frozen despite transit in recent hot weather. Excellent amount of dry ice used, they did not skimp on this. Easy to order, very competitive pricing. Will happily become a returning customer.

Really wish I found the frozen website sooner, ive been using other companies for the past few years but didn't even think that ridgeway did a frozen website. I've used their courier for years and they always been good but the frozen website is trump! Not only are they much cheaper than anywhere else, the packaging and delivery time is unbeatable. Literally more than halved my usual monthly spend and they do everything there so can get my substrate and other essentials in the same order
