Something doesn’t add up. Tried cancelling order straight away after finding this out sending a few what’s app messages and emails and surprise surprise no reply/ response. Condole arrived had it not even a day and

Handheld is labelled as an R36S.
I’ve had this device about 6 months, not used much. Having an issue now with it stuck on boot - troubleshooting online, I’ve discovered this console is a cloned R36S not even a real one. Hard to fix once failed and not worth the price they charge. Avoid.

Error occurred on software, customer support not helpful and now ignoring me. This was a present for my 6 year old son who is now very upset. I’d strongly advise not to purchase from this company.

Unfortunately the company completely refuses to engage with correspondence from customers, and is essentially uncontactable after purchase. Strongly advise to avoid this company.

I have experienced product issues and it is completely impossible to reach customer services - WhatsApp support has completely ignored me, and so far the same when emailing in. Very disappointed and could not recommend.

At the start I was really impressed with the system, loads of games, easy to use, hours of fun….HOWEVER, as soon as I started having problems it’s just been a nightmare. You cannot get through to a real person, the phone number doesn’t work, if you email in you get an automatic email reply with pointers, the WhatsApp tried to help originally but once they realised none of their steps worked I have been totally ghosted. I now have an expensive, useless, brick. Stay well clear!

These guys are frauds.
Not only did they send me a faulty item, when i tried to return it, i had to send the item back to china. On the return form it asks for the sellers phone number and email address. Once you mistakenly put in their details the customs information goes to them and then they don't send it on back to you so you can't pay for it to go to the factory, even if you keep asking them to forward it on.
They ignore most of the correspondances to do with the return until you threaten action.
I had to take it further with my credit company to get a refund. Taken 5 months to get my refund

I have a R36s that broke after 1 use. I am now being ignored on the whatsapp technical support. Was getting replies straight away until they realised that the unit was out of warranty and now no reply to emails or whatsapps. Phone number doesn't work either... Do not buy from this company, waste of money!

Can't get in touch with a real person. Do not use they are a fake business. Uk address but from china! No delivery update after 3 weeks! Emailed twice and get an automated response telling me gaming instructions! The email address posted on here also doesn't work. Got my money back luckily. You can easily tell most of these reviews are fake, so be careful! Do not use, you'll only be disappointed.

Do not use this company! I wanted to send mine back and they just didn’t respond to any emails. There were two different addresses, one on the envelope and one on the website so I didn’t know how to send back. PayPal decided to side with them even though I had all the evidence on my side. Total swizz!

Thank goodness for trust pilot or I am not sure my issue would of been resolved. With that being said, after a month and a half, I did receive my refund. Very grateful for that.

When we ordered this product it said next day delivery. It's been 4 days now and still not delivered. I've sent several emails and a couple of phone calls and have received zero response. Not sure what to do next.

After receiving an email from a company representative. I was wrong about the delivery schedule. It's 5 to 10 days not next day delivery. Looking forward to rating the product once I receive it. So disregard previous review.

Despite advertising only a UK address on their site, this item is being drop shipped from China. Additionally, the unit has been proven to be inferior clone hardware by online reviewers and forum posters, but sold at twice the price of an R36S. Whilst I am yet to receive the unit, I cannot in good conscience recommend purchasing from this site.
I feel this is deceitful practice and must be pointed out. My review score may go up or down depending on the quality of the clone hardware received.

update 1: has shipped, albeit slower than an official alternative ordered from ali express (who were honest about country of origin). I did tell retrosoft to cancel shipping and refund me but I was ignored. Unless unit is perfect in everyway as advertised, I will be issuing a transaction dispute with my credit card company and sending back. Return shipment to China should be paid by retrosoft, but I've read horror stories indicating the opposite. I wonder why i can't ship to their listed UK office...

update 2 (26/03) - still no contact from retrosoft, useless tracking info. avoid these people like the plague, and indeed any seller claiming to sell for cheap in the UK. I wonder how much tax they contribute to our land...

I would stay well clear of them, shown as a UK company but couldn't be further from the truth, 24 hour shipping.. Think again, more like two weeks from China. These are not genuine R36S units but poor clones, its evident when looking at the file system they cant be upgraded with the genuine software, At best these are £15 retro gaming units, not £59. Buttons and controls are awful, onboard sound is hissing and crackling at the menus.OTG support for updates doesn't exist, SD card included might as well be made from play-dough, its that rubbish. Stay well clear, total scam of a company.

Ordered three consoles, one for me and two for friends I used to play these games with. They arrived as advertised and are fantastic. Thousands of games, nostalgia is immense. Both friends love their devices. I don’t understand the negative reviews; it cost almost nothing and provides tons of games and fun. What more can you ask for!

Great little console! Brilliant quality screen is nice bright and clear!! And loads of brilliant games to get my nostalgia on!

RetroSoft sell clone devices, not actual R36S'. Falsely advertising a different product to what they actually sell (they've since taken down some of their social media adverts).

Company not only provided clone devices but ignored all emails with questions on the product (e.g. why a Pokemon game was not working). They eventually responded when asked for a refund, saying I'd need to ship the product back to China at my expense!

They did not reply to ANY subsequent emails, requiring that I pick up with PayPal. RetroSoft took the maximum amount of time allowed by PayPal in responding to queries, causing the whole process (purchase to refund) to drag on for several weeks.

I'd recommend avoiding this company.

Buyer Beware!

Website is misleading with a UK business address and phone number that does not work. Products are shipped from China not the UK.

I had done research into R36S devices and wanted a device with ArkOS on it as the operating system as this is the legitimate R36S device. There are multiple online stores and dropshippers selling clone devices that run on an inferior system called EmuELEC. Retrosoft had an advert on their facebook page where they claimed their device runs on ArkOS so I purchased from them. I have a screenshot and screen recording of this advert. They are also selling these devices at a huge markup. You can find much cheaper elsewhere but I was ordering as a gift, it was close to Xmas and as it was going to be ArkOS and I believed it was being shipped from the UK so I went with them.

On delivery quickly discovered I had received clone devices running on EmuELEC. The gift recipients wanted to give them a go but discovered multiple other issues like games not loading, battery life no where near the 8 hours advertised etc. Contacted customer support and beyond them asking for my order number had no further contact from them so I lodged a dispute with paypal. They continued to deny claiming the devices run on ArkOS despite my evidence. They have since deleted the post off their socials. They said I could return the devices but provided no instruction for this and I refused to return to China. They never responded so I had to escalate again to paypal and they eventually did provide a UK return address. They then never responded to Paypal to confirm receiving the devices back but as I had tracking Paypal found in my favour.

Buy an R36S device elsewhere.

Sent a faulty product, claiming on what's app "they've never seen this before" it would not boot to the main menu basically threw me into the error screen, Iv literally been robbed £59.99, not to mention they sent out the wrong colour, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMERS, I'm currently awaiting a refund off of PayPal with full pictures of the console, so at them moment Iv got an expensive brick. Not happy at all
