absolute rip off
absolute rip off. the movers are a third party and THEY were wonderful. Relocation Nation are absolute thieves. i don’t even have enough time to write all the terrible things i can write about them. do not ever use them.
Dishonest company they had there guys…
Dishonest company they had there guys show up then they left taking nothing knowing full well we had to be out that day leaving us to find another truck when I called them they said oh it can take a day or two to find another truck when I told them because there guys breached the contract they cancelled out truck and kept out deposit saying we breached the contract knowing we were moving out of state and to go after them for our deposit of almost 3000 dollars it would cost us more than that. They are a lying theaving company NEVER USE OR TRUST THEM!
Company increased $2k estimate from initial estimate to QA estimate 2 days before the move
Company increased $2k estimate from initial estimate to QA estimate 2 days before the move. Sales representative made a mistake on not adding any boxes during initial estimate, now during QA check company did not even apologize for an error and charging me additional $2k and threaten me to pay on the spot otherwise they would cancel the transportation two days before the move. I requested multiple times to have a video call so they could estimate accurately, but everyone refused. Company knows that I won’t be able to find any other transportation in that short notice and therefore took more money from me. Do not trust anyone in the company, Sales, QA, customer service everyone are very disrespectful and trying to take more money and take advantage of you. I an waiting for rest of the move and will share my whole experience with The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA).
This is the worst moving company I’ve…
This is the worst moving company I’ve dealt with. When I signed up for there services that assured me that they had a driver. I didn’t receive any calls from them until moving day it was halfway through the day and no communication. I called and a rude woman called and asked what was my window time to move she said they’ll be there tomorrow. I waited all day to find out no one was moving me. The next day I was suppose to work that night but couldn’t because I’m waiting on movers. This time I didn’t wait. However I was told the driver who “accepted the job” wasn’t going to take it now. So I was in limbo all day and the next as well. Needless to say that was the last week of June. By the time I was told it wasnt going to happen all uhauls were taken. So here I was no way to move my stuff. The company offered no apology. They even refused to refund my money because of the 48 hour cancellation policy. If I had known they were not going to move me I would have cancelled duh! They stated I didn’t allow them the opportunity to move my belongings. What!!! Here it is the second week of July. Yes you guessed it they still haven’t moved me. They haven’t even reached out to me. DONT USE THEM!!!!!!
Services not rendered on agreed upon…
Services not rendered on agreed upon time frame! Terrible customer service. Take your business elsewhere.
Should we start a class action lawsuit?
Absolutely horrible. Totally lied to me about the cost and the estimate even after I told them I had a three-story house they said I only needed some minuscule amount of a truck. And I asked over and over again if I had a whole 26 foot truck and over and over again they said yes you have a 26 foot truck, they failed to say that I only had a third of the 26 foot truck. Once I realize that, I tried to cancel, spoke with the sales manager who promised to get back to me and never did. Now they won’t refund my deposit. Looking for others with similar experience, thinking about a class action lawsuit
Initially the service was great
Initially the service was great. But the people they sent to pick up my stuff sucked at communication. Relocation nation never touched base after taking my money. The guy that set up my pick up was very brash. And 90% of my boxes showed up thrashed, damaged, and open. My book shelves, thankfully salvageable, are in horrid condition. They left my stuff on the street because they wanted almost 300 for a long drop off and didn't even offer to at least put it on the side walk or a little closer and not in the street.
Absolutely Horrible company
Absolutely Horrible company! DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS. They lure you in with ultra low bid, then almost double it just before the movers are to show up, that way, they figure you dont have a choice. We fell for it, and lost $20k!!! I ended up moving my own belongings across country and spending another $10k. Ive noticed that about 1/2 of the "5 star" reviews use the exact same title, or verbiage, and Im sure they were all paid for by Relocation Nation. Yes, there are several websites you can PAY to give you good reviews!! DO NOT CALL THEM!!
Do not use this company
Beware of the five star ratings. Mike Deluca was my first contact and he underestimated my contents and then they pressure you to sign the contract right away with a 30% deposit. I then dealt with Bill Young who is unprofessional and talks over you when you are trying to explain something. Once they have your deposit, they only try to get more money out of you. Save your time and energy and pay more for a company that will come out and quote you correctly the first time, treat you with respect, and you won't worry if you are getting scammed the whole time.
Don’t trust the 48 hour cancellation
Don’t trust the 48 hour cancellation
I cancelled within 24 hours and was told they had already booked a carrier so they would not be refunding any of my money. I asked for the name of the company they booked with and she said they are only obligated to give me a name, ABC moving. Looked them up to call and it’s fax number only. What a SCAM!!!
Thanks Hugo! It’s interesting how they never give you a full name and somehow they are all managers.
Read the 1 star reviews carefully, THEY ARE TRUE.
My experience was very similar to other 1 star reviews - Simply TERRIBLE! Got a call from Mike Deluca asking what items I have, quoted me $3000, and said he usually over estimates- but I had to send immediate $1200 binding estimate fee. Some time before our move date, Bill Young from quality assurance called to get a better feel for our items so I updated the items we have and he said we’d need more cubic feet and upped the contract to $9000! Watch out for him, he is very rude and does yell at costumers. Big lesson learned - stay away from relocation nation. Lastly no customer service at all, really makes you feel like they are phony, their website is completely false and misleading hence my complaint to BBB and consulting my attorney.
Couple things to keep in mind:
- "Detailed" item list: They ask for detailed items in advance, and if on the moving date you have more items that WERE not on the list, they charge 3x for each item. My question is ... who would know "exactly" how many boxes or items one would have until they finished packing?
- Cancellation fee: Check out U-Pack company, their cancellation fee is pretty much 10x lower (~$150 even on the moving date) and their cubic size policy is much more flexible.
- Attitude towards costumers: They are definitely one of the most rude company I have ever encountered.
After talking to Bill we felt very sketchy about them, even after he back saying his boss agreed with us and dropped the price to ~$6500. So we ended up just giving our $1200 deposit away and go to U-Pack instead and got two relocation cubes.
We highly suggest simply decouple the "storage" and the "moving labor" because of several reasons:
1. U-Pack simply come drop the relocation cubes in front of your house
2. You have all the time to load the stuff and no need to care about how many items you have as long as you can fit them in the cube.
3. Once you are ready, simply tell them when to come pick the cubes up as well as when to drop the cubes at your new place.
4. Similarly, you have all the time to unload and once you are done simply tell them when to come take the cubes away.
Good luck moving!
DO NOT USE THEM
DO NOT USE THEM, MOST OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE!! Absolutely disgusted with their misleading marketing and sales tactics and unethical service. They lied about everything from the very first phone call. This company is not an actual mover, they are a BROKER and will sell your contract to the LOWEST BIDDER. The do not pre-screen the trucking companies they use, if you get a good one consider yourself lucky. The trucking company they sent to pick up my furniture had HORRIBLE REVIEWS online. HALF of my furniture did not make it on the truck because of the severly MIS-QUOTED PRICE they provided in order to get the contract. I had to rent my own truck just to get the rest of my furniture transported. I was told numerous lies. They said my belongings would arrive 5-7 days after being picked up. My furniture arrived broken, with 3 items missing 21 days after being picked up. The company was not able to locate my furniture or provide an update for 9 days. They purposely UNDERESTIMATED the my quote in order to get the job. READ YOUR CONTRACT!!! I was not allowed to cancel or i would have lost my $2,400 deposit. Even after I was misquoted by $1,800. Save yourself the time, money and stress by GOING WITH SOMEONE ELSE. These clowns should be put out of business for their UNETHICAL business practices.. COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT.
Wasted considerable time with a company…
Wasted considerable time with a company that proved to be careless from beginning to end. Avoid this company if you prefer honesty, clarity and your instructions to be heeded. Half of my items have not been moved and the quote I received was not anywhere need the amount I was billed. At every turn I was met with employees remiss in their duties. I sent photos to avoid a misunderstanding in what I needed moved, and yet, was directed to mislabel/misidentify items. I sent photos of each item, along with a list, and yet, only half of my items were packed. When I learned they would be unable to take all of the items they had agreed to (and for double the price I was quoted!), I gave instructions about priority, and yet, those were ignored completely. I called the 1-800 customer service line while the movers were at my home; the call was unanswered and subsequently NEVER returned. I texted my original contact who promised action on Monday, and yet, I was told to call the 1-800 customer service line! The recklessness of the employees continued when they left the gate to my property obviously open! Feeling frustrated, I reached out to customer service again. I received no response to my request for assistance for several days. The lackluster response I eventually did receive left much to be desired. The response asked ME to provide additional information in order to assist, and yet, when I promptly sent that information to them, it was tossed aside, my time wasted and myself left feeling exasperated. Save yourself the trouble of being deceived and abused by Relocation Nation Moving and choose another company.
Move from Castro Valley CA to Mesa AZ
Terrible experience- on phone with Mike Deluca explained I had 2- 10x10 public storage units with household items- one nearly full the other half full. He quoted me $3100 and said he usually over estimates- but I had to send immediate $1200 binding estimate fee. Next day Jessica Smith from quality assurance called to get a better feel for our items so I sent her pictures- after consulting with her boss to make sure- she said we’d need more cubic feet and upped the contract to $4700- but instead of charging the $4.50 per cubic feet she included another $1000 in binding estimate to be paid immediately- and said to pay drivers balance. Drivers showed on packing day from Aknazar Moving out of Los Angeles and mentioned relocation nation is a broker not actual mover and the binding estimate is a brokerage fee- also that relocation nation under estimated our items!! They charged another extra $1000 for total if $5700!!! When attempting to rectify over a month and nothing but run around….lesson learned stay away from relocation nation and only use actual movers who will come to your location and provide a real quote/. Lastly no customer service at all, really makes you feel like they are phony…..their website is completely false and misleading hence my complaint to BBB and consulting my attorney.
