Excellent company
Excellent company, I have had two pair of glases reglased on one they changed the fitting screws/bolts and fitted new replacements (included). Both jobs were very well done and excellent quality lenses were fitted. The delivery was quick and the kept me infomed all the way. They gave me a 10% discount on the second pair. They are much less costly than the high st shops which charge large "reglasing fees" and much more for the lenses. I would give this company 6 stars if I could.

Sent my glasses off with a scratch on the lens. Added anti-fog on as will likely still be wearing masks for a while.
My order got a bit delayed until I reached out to customer services and they arranged for it to be sent out and it arrived the next day. I believe this was a one off chance as my mum also did an order and had a complete turnaround in around 5 days.
They even sent the original lenses back so you can compare the prescriptions.
Fast delivery, great quality lenses, and good customer service
Recently sent over two glasses to be reglazed (as well as a sample pair to provide my PD distance). I was concerned maybe the process would be complicated or that the glasses could get damaged, but I received them in perfect condition and the right prescription was applied. The coatings (sunglass tint, anti reflection and blue light) I requested were all correct. The effect from the coating was great, especially the anti reflection coating. The price was really competitive and much much cheaper than a quote I’d received from a big retail store.
A fifth of the cost of Specsavers!
Had my varifocals reglazed costing £46. I was quoted £250 for the same thing at Specsavers who i shall never use again other than to get a simple eye test. Thanks so much really pleased!
Reluctant but Relieved
Unbelievable price, superb service (got reglazed glasses back only 3 days after ordering), great customer service, BUT doesn't seem the refurbish service was carried out. The frame wasn't straightened, arms not tightened, no difference. wasn't bothered to send back or complain as it was a 10-15 quid service hence the 4 stars. but overall a great experience
I have used this company for a number…
I have used this company for a number of years with 100% satisfaction! However, I have not used recently only because my lens have not changed. I recently incurred some damage to my preferred glasses and asked them if they could just repair. Their attention, as usual was superb, I was asked to send off to them for evaluation of the damage. With a day of receiving they said yes, they could be repaired and within a week I was told they were on the way back to me! Local opticians are renowned for condemning frames and are only interested in selling new glasses. Once again I am thrilled with the service I have received and will be back. Please use this company with total confidence as they are more than worthy of your business. Thank you to Chris and Amanda!!!
Initial problems but sorted in the end
Having been wary about ordering reglazes online, the company were quick to reply to pre-sales questions about suitability of the lenses, and put my mind at ease. I placed my order (top of the range varifocal lenses), and received the glasses 10 days later.
Initially they seemed fine, but after a few days of wearing them in work I started getting headaches and eye strain, and realised that the field of vision was poor compared to my previous (supermarket) varifocals. I persevered with the new lenses in case my eyes just needed to get used to them, but things didn't improve. I emailed the company three weeks after receiving the glasses, but two weeks later I'm yet to get a reply. Unfortunately it's only at this point that I realised the returns policy is 30 days from order, not from receiving the goods, so I assume that's why they never got in touch. I'm left with an expensive pair of lenses that are unsuitable, and haven't been worn since.
Update: Reglaze have been in touch and asked for the glasses to be returned. They have now fixed whatever was wrong with them and the latest pair seem absolutely fine. Thank you.

Glaze on the cake is the cost saving.
A friend is a long term advocate for reglaze eyeware. Have to say service is gold standard. They even did my online order for me by email when my IT skills not up to it and all I had to do was send them my prescription. Empty box arrives. Put your old frames in. Send back. A week later they come back. Simples. I got Polaroid fishing sunglasses (driveware transitions they're called). Full varifocals. Great product. My own optician 370 quid plus any new frame purchase. Reglaze a shade under 200, own frames from a past life. What's there not to like.
Will work with customers
Initially ran into a couple of issue with this firm, regarding time and incorrect lenses.
At first I thought this issue was going to drag on from the initial responce, however I was in fact wrong within a few days the issue was resolved.
If anyone is reading reviews and wonder if it's a good idea to use them, well they will get things sorted for you just beware of the time frame as it's not clear but expect it to be at least a week turn around from my experience.
I would rate this firm a 7 out of 10

Wrecked my good frames and sent back ,damaged, second-hand frames - Avoid!
I sent a pair of Nike frames to reglaze direct. When I received the reglazed frames, one spring hinge was damaged - no spring! This when the excuses started. Reglaze Ltd - " The frame must have been like that when we received them " Me - No! Reglaze Ltd - " The frame must have been damaged in the post" Me - No, the box was OK. Reglaze Ltd - " Err..Ok..we must have done it ....we will repair them" Fast forward a week - Reglaze Ltd - "We can't repair them - you will get you a new pair " Me - "Great". Fast forward another week. Reglaze ltd - " We can't get the lenses due to the post - you will get your new frames next week. Finally - I received second-hand frames which were similar to my perfect original frames but which were bent and scratched. To add to the insult - they sent back the original frames with an arm snapped off. I will get my money back from my credit card and I will be reporting them to Optical Consumer Complaints Service (OCCS UK). COVID-19 Note The replacement frames were filthy. Not cleaned as stated. Could spread the virus!
Edit: received a reply in 9mins ! The original frame was declared perfect by your technician. A bent, filthy, second-hand replacement frame is not good enough.
I accept that a UV lamp will destroy the virus. However, if care has not been taken to perform basic cleaning, how do I know that the frame has been put under a UV lamp for the required length of time? Such a filthy frame indicates it may not have been - I am right to be cautious.

A fantastic quick service.
Paid for my sunglasses to be reglazed late Monday, box arrived Tuesday, post and picked up via royal mail Wednesday, glasses back by Friday.
What a fantastic service and turn around.
I have had to return my glasses to a well known high street for a correction and it will be two weeks before I hear back from them.
I am really pleased with reglaze my glasses and would highly recommend them to friends and family.
Good Glasses
Good Glasses, reglazed my rimless specs, good value, purchased basic varifocal lenses, nice job they made, probably should have gone for premium lenses but they’re ok.
No longer living up to the reputation
I used to regularly use and recommend this service, but the service levels, both technically, and in terms of customer service, seem to have gone AWOL. New lenses that don't fit frames. Broken frames dodgily repaired. Little or no communication. Reglazing previously reglazed glasses without referring back to the provided first-fit lenses, so accumulating and compounding their own errors instead of referring back to the originals. It's a real shame, but I guess it will be win-win for my local optician.

I used this website when it was Ciliary Blue a few years ago to have lenses added to a pair of sunglasses. I wanted to add a review now as I am still so pleased with my sunglasses and they are still going strong!
I wouldn't normally buy glasses/lenses online but Boots were sooo expensive and Specsavers wouldn't put lenses in the frames I wanted as they said they were too large/round for my prescription as the lenses would be too thick at the edges even with them thinned. I emailed Ciliary Blue with questions about how much they could thin the lenses etc and they were quick to reply and really helpful so I decided to risk it and I'm so glad I did.
In the end, I bought a pair of £10 sunglasses from Boots and had Ciliary Blue add polarised lenses with the maximum amount of thinning they do, which was hundreds of pounds cheaper than Boots. I can see perfectly through them and would definitely recommend polarised lenses. The only issue I had was that I did need to take them to the opticians for them to adjust the fit as they were a bit loose but that's to be expected when buying online.
AVOID. Unreliable, appalling communication, poor turnaround time
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. DO NOT use this company if you want to have your item processed and delivered in a timely manner. I ordered reglaze glasses from the New Zealand website which should be reported and closed down for false advertising. The company is not based in NZ (based in the UK) and ALL items are shipped to the UK for processing which adds another 2 weeks to the stated expected processing time on the NZ website. I waited for 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks. Communication is absolutely APPALLING. 10% of my emails were responded to, and I always got a voicemail message when phoning, and of course phone calls made were never returned. AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs.

Yet another great reglazing of two pairs of glasses (reading and anti-blue light computer specs) with a 3 or 4-day door-to-door turnaround. This is my third time ordering from Reglaze Glasses Direct (formerly Ciliary Blue) and I would not hesitate to recommend them for excellent, fast service, quality reglazing and highly competitive pricing. Well done again!
Well practised at fobbing off the customer
This company operates along the lines of a lucky-dip, you pay your money and hope for the best not knowing what you're going to get.
I sent off a pair of glasses to have standard bi-focal lenses fitted. When I received them back I discarded the box before trying the glasses, expecting them to be correct, but clearly they weren't. Objects in the room were leaning away from me when I knew they were upright. When looking at the ground when walking it looked as though I was walking up a slope. I have other glasses supplied by Asda made to the same prescription which are perfect. These people should be capable of producing the same.
Their website states there's a money back guarantee if not 100% happy. Not many people are going to be happy spending money on a product that proves to be useless. So I returned the lenses with a covering letter by first class post the same day. A week went past and I hadn't heard anything, so e-mailed them, only to be told I should return the lenses with a letter. This of course they had already received but trying to pretend otherwise.
Judging by the negative comments on here , these people seem well practised at fobbing people off and giving them the runaround as a means of taking money from the public. They delivered a product not fit for purpose yet happy to pocket the money, hiding behind a so-called money back guarantee that's about as useless as the lenses they produced.
So unless you like wasting money you'd be wise to look elsewhere.

Lenses good! Frame refurbishment very poor, No attempt to make sure left lens fitted properly owing to slight indentation /bend in the groove holding the lens, very disappointing!
The customer service is a fob-off with lots of reasons why it's not their fault.
Do not use unless your frame is perfect!
My wife and I have given this firm most of our custom for new lenses in the past. Not any more!!
