Big shout out to these guys

Big shout out to these guys ! Quality lenses absolutely spot on this is the second set of frames reglaze direct nz have provided and fitted new lenses in for me. super pleased with the service. First set the frame I provided broke when they were fitting lenses reglaze took it upon themselves to hunt down an identical replacement frame at no charge to me and delivered back to me complete with new lenses very happy with these guys totally recommend

Fantastic reglazing service but it's best to buy varifocals in person

I have used their reglazing services a few times over the past three years and I have been happy with their service and turnaround time. It usually takes around two weeks from placing the order; receiving their box, returning the box right away and receiving my glasses back. My most recent order was for 90% green tint varifocal sunglasses and they were fantastic. Highly recommended company.

Update in 2024: I went to an opticians and I was told the varifocals I got from this reglazng company weren't great and had made my prescription worse. It's probably because if you buy online, the glasses are not checked for how they sit. I wouldn't advise buying varifocals online now.

I love this amazing company, 5* is not enough.

I have been using this amazing company since 2016 for my family buying a variety of lenses both long and short sighted, tinted, anti scratch, sunglasses and even repairs. They are my go to for lenses and would recommend them without a hesitation. Great team and helpful customer service, especially a massive thanks to Phil too. 5* is not enough.

6 stars - Excellent

I would give them extra stars if I could, they were fantastic!

Everything was so fast. They sent me a box with a prepaid label, I returned it next day, they received it and reglazed my glasses that day, I received them back the next day!

Much like Amazon Prime same day delivery, I suspect witchcraft.

The reglazing was done to a high standard and it's great to be able to see the world in HD again, maybe even 4K.

I would highly recommend this company, the prices are incredible as well!

Wow, wow, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, what a fantastic service!!! Sent glasses Saturday morning and received them back Tuesday morning in perfect condition. Taken specsavers a week to replace lenses and this company is so much cheaper. Can't recommens highly enough

Company has changed

I've been using this company for many years and they have always been very helpful ánd provided good glasses until recently. This year I ordered a single focus lens and an upgraded vari-focal lens. The vari-focal lens was put in the wrong frames for some therapeutic moisture-chamber glasses I use for the computer. They are not willing to rectify the matter so I am without the vari-focals I need for normal use. They also told me the normal glasses frames I sent had not arrived. After several months of trying to trace them this turned out not to be the case. I think the company is under new management. I will be taking legal action for the glasses I paid for and didn't receive and won't be using them again.

This review did come as a surprise!
The order you placed for lenses was in June 2022, with me, over the phone. I informed you that you usually ordered the Elite HD lenses, but you decided to order the Elite style as you didn’t want to spend the money on the superior lenses. You also ordered a single vison pair at the same time. You sent in the (purple) frame for the varifocals and said that the frame for the single vision lenses would follow. We supplied and fitted the Elite Transition Xtractive lenses into the frame and sent them back to you.
After a few days you called and said that you weren’t happy with the lenses and that you wanted to change them for the Elite HD lenses as suggested, by me, in the initial conversation, we were happy to change these for you for the additional difference in cost of the superior lenses (£42) as we have 28 days non-tolerance agreement with our supplier, we then placed a new order in July 2022 for the upgraded lenses and ordered them in from the supplier and sent you a box to return the frame to us.
A frame arrived from Eyewear accessories for the single vision lenses and we fitted these and returned them to you.
The new, upgraded HD lenses came in from the supplier and we put them in your tray awaiting your (purple) frame.
Another frame arrived from Eyewear accessories, for you, and went into your tray. As there was a set of lenses there the lab glazed these lenses in to this frame and returned them to you. This was an error on our behalf, but you didn’t notify us that you had received the Elite HD lenses in this frame.
In October 2022, 4 months later, you sent another (turquoise) frame into us, with a note and emails stating that you were sending these in for the Elite HD lenses that we had here waiting for you. I pointed out firstly that the upgraded lenses should only be glazed into the original (purple) frame, and we need to return the lenses to the supplier for credit, and also that you had actually already had the lenses supplied into another frame. I suggested that you send these back and we could cut and fit them into the original (purple) frame but you were not willing to send these back.
Eventually in December 2022 you finally sent back the purple frames, 6 months after supply and way over the non-tolerance period. We have had numerous email exchanges and (recorded) telephone calls in which you have admitted that this ‘mix-up’ was in fact your fault but you still requested that we supply a new pair of Elite HD Xtractive MAR lenses for £42 (the original upgrade cost) instead of the full cost of £220. I explained that we were unable to do that, but we would be happy to supply a new pair at a 25% discounted price. You then insisted we sent them back as you were unwilling to pay that.
We have always been fair with you Caroline and have helped you with your lens and visual needs over the years, but we cannot supply free lenses as and when you decide to send in a new frame.
We have again reviewed the complete file of evidence, including emails, letters, phone calls and photos and are completely confident that we have conducted our service professionally.
We have been running the company now for nearly 16 years with the same management and many of the original staff.

Top Quality Reglaze at a Really Good Price

I needed a pair of Intermediate (VDU) specs to use with my P.C. I had a decent frame to use, so filled out the Reglaze-glasses-direct order form on their website, waited a few days for their posting box to arrive. I then put my specs in the bubble bag they provided, put my recent eye test form in the box with my specs and posted it back. They emailed me a few days later to say they had got it. They sent another email same day, to say they had made my new lenses, complete with ant-scratch coating.
Next day they posted them back, I got them two days later. perfect lenses, as good as any from my local optician for £24, perfectly fitted in my frames.
I am very impressed and will certainly use them again.

Proffessional courteous and value for money

I contacted reglaze glassess and explained my glassess required tinted lenses due to suffering from Hemiplegic Migraines and i also use my prescription sunglasses for driving. They informed me that it would cost as little as £30.00.
I realised they were situated in Hinckley not too far from Leicester so i asked if i could drop them off, they agreed and I dropped the glasses, with in 3 days the glasses were ready. Ipicked them up, whilst driving the lens fell out, so i went back and the technician i saw said that the nylon wire loosens due to age, without any quibble he fixed the issue immediately. I would like to empasise the exceptional service I recieved there are very very few companies who go that extra mile to give high standard of service. I do apologise i do struggle with names however those who spoke to me were proffessional and couteous in their approach thank you.
I was extremely suprised at price of reglazing, best value for money by far, exceptional proffessional service. What more can anyone ask for. Thank You

Impressed

I posted the review below and was contacted the next day. Chris T. gave a clear explanation of the possible cause and offered me new lenses, at no cost to myself. I am very impressed by the customer service. I will update when I get the glasses back.
Disappointed. I paid for the Elite varifocal lenses as I wanted the wider field of view. I’ve worn the reglazed glasses every day for two weeks in case initial impressions changed. Sadly they haven’t. Though intermediate and distance vision is fine; I find when reading that the field of vision is no wider than that of my Asda varifocals that cost less than half the price of these Elite lenses.

Quick, efficient and reliable service ! EXCELLENT!

I spoke to a guy called Jack - very helpful, who took my order over the phone. I then printed off a 1st class mailing label and sent 2 pairs of my glasses for a re-glaze after a very large and expensive optician gave me the wrong prescription for reading. Reglaze Glasses direct reglazed 2 pairs of reading glasses in 2 days!! Fantastic service! Also much cheaper than high street optician charges ! My lenses were fabulously clear to read through. Can't fault this service at all, It is just great to have a company that comes up with a great result and SO QUICKLY! A rarity these days that a company can do their job 100% !!!

The best online glasses service there is.

I've been using Reglaze Glasses Direct since they were Ciliary Blue. They've consistently offered the best service at their price point for reglazing. Boxes are shipped out the day you order, you build the box and send your glasses in the mail, through a normal post box, and their work time is around 24 hours before the box is back out. If like me you have a few pairs, this site is the best way of getting your prescription up to date. I also use them for sunglasses, which is great - people are always amazed when I tell them it's £30 to have prescription sunnies.

In the 10+ years I've been using them, I've had one query about quality, which even then could have been just getting used to the prescription. I contacted them, was called back immediately, sent a shipping label to return the frames and the lenses were replaced with fresh ones, just in case, for free. This is what other online glasses companies should aspire to be. Friendly, affordable, and offering amazing service.

Great service

Had a terrible experience with onlineoptitionsuk ending up with me having to get a refund from my bank. Went with this company after an online search, and was not disappointed. Similar price, but far superior service. Had a pair of RayBan glasses reglazed with varifocal lenses, plus thin, anti scratch/ anti reflection lenses. Less than a 2 week turnaround, all done and very happy . Will definitely use again.

Absolutely superb service

Absolutely superb service. I sent off two pairs of glasses (one sunglasses) for re-glazing and both pairs came back after three days! I'd also spoken with them on the phone beforehand and the help and advice I received was excellent. Extremely competitive pricing and a fast first class service on all levels. Highly recommended.

Appalling

Update: The incorrect and passive aggressive tone in the company's response below is akin to their approach to customer service:
"We normally expect our customers to have received the product before they review them?"

My glasses HAVE been delivered. To any other potential customers, this is an attempt to deflect and invalidate a perfectly accurate review. The fact that they are implying a false review is even more laughable when I have provided an order number.

Recently got a pair of glasses re-glazed and I can honestly say I am utterly appalled by the work.
Despite ordering "thin and clear lenses", these are murky and the glare is genuinely unbearable.
I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and I've never had anything like this.
It's like having dirty glasses all the time, and the awful glare is akin to a cheap piece of flimsy plastic.
Avoid.

Great Service

I had an old sunglasses frame reglazed but did not know what index or tint level to go for. I had an intial chat with them on the phone and the lady was very nice & helpful. She said put some notes with your frame and we'll call you back when we see what you have sent us.
Received my box the next day. Sent it off on day 3, received a call from the tint specialist on day 4. Got a clear understanding of what I needed and received my finished glasses back on day 5 in perfect order, exactly what I wanted. That's 5 days from the initial telephone call but only 3 from sending in my frames.
Specsavers wanted £39 and 10-14 days for what these guys did for £26 in 3 days.

Im a nightmare with glasses. Finally got lenses for everyday wear.

Im a nightmare with glasses. I often struggle with getting varifocal lenses right. Always seem to have weird areas in the lenses. Not through lack of trying either. Ive used many opticians from small boutique through to high street chains. A couple of years ago I splashed out on the market leader lens brand which cost around £550 for the lenses and they were average. The Specsavers equivalent were better at half the price so I thought I would try the online route. I was surprised how good the lenses were. Definitely better than the SS lenses and I went all in with transition lenses and coatings. Really impressed. For work I need a weird focal distance single vision. Spoke to someone in their lab and he knew what I was looking for and came up trumps without upselling me to varifocal lenses which would have been an easy sell for me. Ive now had 3 pairs done with various lenses/coatings and all of them have been great. Even complex lenses are delivered within a week. Amazing service. Its also good to support a smaller business over a high st chain.

Incorrect prescription, dirty lenses and poor service.

Order placed end of October. Prescription from the option provided with the glasses. Returned with incorrect prescription lenses, one lens very different to the other, dirty lenses and an over extended arm hinge. I asked for a refund.

Glasses returned to this business for their inspection, they asked if they could try once more to correct this problem, I foolishly agreed.

Mid December now, and the glasses were returned with the same incorrect prescription and filthy lenses.

I have been without my primary glasses for two months, and yet I still have to send them somewhere else to have the prescription updated. I'm now waiting for a refund...!

I never called or threatened anyone. That is a blatent lie. My prescription IS for occupational. You are fools.

It's funny how from the suppliers point of view the story is very different.
You ordered occupational varifocals, which we supplied, correctly. We received the box back from you on the 4th of November from the order you placed on the 29th October. We completed and dispatched on the 12th November.
The original order you placed, was in fact incorrect, what you should have ordered was standard (non-occupational varifocals). We received an email from you (which we replied to) and phone calls which were bordering on threatening and unpleasant to the receptionists.
We tried to call back on numerous occasions but were eventually told by email that you couldn't answer the phone during the day.
We offered to change the lenses for you, you agreed to this and the lenses were changed to a standard style varifocal. These were in fact a more expensive option but we decided to do the upgrade and exchange free of charge.
We then received another email today suggesting we have done nothing despite the fact we have changed the lenses, again which we can prove.
We offered to refund straight away, as we would anyone, and offered to send pre-paid packaging to send the lenses back.
We have been polite and respectful throughout and have done as we would with any other job, i.e followed the customers order to the prescription issued with settings we have used before successfully!
Still this is not good enough and we are referred to as 'disgraceful'.
We did try, but we do wish you a Happy Christmas all the same.

Internal issues result in lost customer

I have used this company a number of times and been very happy previously. My last pair of Osiris frames which were quite thin frames had the varifocal elite thin index lenses put in them and were without doubt the best spectacle lenses I have ever had. So I placed a new order on 10th July 2021, again for varifocal elite thin index lenses from the transitions range, to be installed into a much wider Tommy Hilfiger frame. When they arrived back, the glasses were so heavy they cut into my nose. The lenses protruded by almost 10mm from the inside edge if the frame, despite this frame being 3/4 wider than a previous Osiris frame with the same lens type and no protrusion at all. I spoke at length with Chris on a number of occasions and the spectacles were returned and received back on 5th August 2021. Chris stated I shouldn't wait longer than 10 days and they usually aim to tur around un 5 to 7 days. Two weeks later and nothing heard or received, I made a call to Chris whom realised that nothing further had happened with my glasses. He spoke with the lens supplier who agreed to supply thinner lenses free of charge. Another 2 weeks went by and still nothing. So a further call to Chris, whom to his credit admitted internal systems failures. I had now been waiting a month for my spectacles. Today 8th September 2021, I received an email along with screenshots, from Phil their Optical director, blaming Royal Mail for sending the lenses to the wrong place, but also stating that they would remove the lenses installed, return the frames and give a full refund. This was different to the conversation had with Chris, who stated that because of alk the systems failures, and the fact I had waited over a month and my glasses still weren't ready, they would look to leave the lenses in situ, return the glasses and offer a full refund because of all the inconvenience caused. I thought this was a fairly decent resolution. This was then rescinded by Phil, their optical director stating that a full refund would be given, the lenses removed and the frames returned, and I would be removed from their mailing list so I never hear from them again, which I had not asked them to do. The tone of the email csme across as someone having a bit of a 'hissy fit' and not what one would expect from a director, especially knowing the difficulties and inconvenience that had been experienced by their previously loyal customer. I made my comments known to Phil in a response to his email, the reply was much more cordial and apologetic. I will however still be receiving my frames back, minus any lenses, having waited over a month to have them reglazed. The result, they have lost the confidence and custom of a once loyal returning customer.

Carl, as stated on numerous occasions, the lens order was lost in a system and and wasn't chased up at out side, which as as we stated many times, our fault, for which we have apologised many times.
We offered a free upgrade to a thinner lens which has taken an age to come through to us.
As stated in your email you had lost trust and confidence in us, we really didn't want to worsen this when we realised that the lens supply had been delayed further still. We have tried, we have apologised and we have refunded.
I'm glad the two previous orders were acceptable.

Actually everyone here tries so hard to get everything right for every customer, if we make a mistake we will hold our hands up, but even saying sorry and refunding isn't enough sometimes,
