SDLT were selected from a host of accounting practices offering their help in the recovery of my potential overpayment. Selection was based on a number of criteria: their approach was very personal, they made reference to the actual purchase price rather than the initial sale price (attention to detail) and recovering overpayments is their sole purpose in life - it was 'just another service' for all other practices.

What a brilliant service, didnt realise the stamp duty money was less if you had an annex, if it wasnt for Jon getting in contact with the video, i wouldnt have been any the wiser, was a bit dubious at first due to scams, would 100 percent recommend

I received a letter from Jon which I put aside for a day or so. It was only when I received a similar but more pushy letter from another business offering a similar service that I realised this might be genuine and I might have a case. Jon answered the phone personally, answered all my questions and I sent him over the documents he needed. A detailed report for HMRC was compiled and submitted by Jon and 3 weeks later the refund landed in my bank account. I am now asking my conveyancing solicitor why he failed to mention this exemption. Cannot recommend Jon highly enough. And on a no win no fee basis what do you have to lose.

Very good experience from all aspects, initial communication, discussion, explanations of the nuances of the MPR scheme operated by HMRC, thorough documentation supply to HMRC resulting in a successful reclaim of overpaid SDLT.
