Good farm with that keeps itself up-to-date.
I got exactly the result I was expecting. Some UI elements might get some more love from the developers, but it doesn't diminish the overall experience.

Downloading the files not fun
I was happy with most of the service and found it easy to use, but downloading the rendered frames proved to be a frustrating experience. I was working remotely with another artist, and they could not download the files via the web link or FTP.
The ability to upload rendered frames directly to Google Drive (as can be done with Chaos Cloud) would greatly benefit those of us trying to collaborate remotely.
EDIT: In response to Ranch's reply, I didn't clarify in my review that the downloading issue was due to the need for someone else to have access to the rendered frames. I usually use Ranch sync to download my files, which is the best option when I need the files locally.

Thank you very much for the feedback even though you were a bit frustrated during the download stage.
The Web and FTP downloads are not the most appropriate options!
We always recommend to use RANCHSync to download the images in real time on your computer(s) while the jobs are rendering on the farm.
You can even launch several instances of RANCHSync on several machines at the same time.

UX is mediocre and prices way too high
UX is mediocre at best and the experience less that memorable. Prices are ludicrous and anyone with fairly decent IT skills will be better off using any cloud computing service. In fact, when I realised I needed one more second (24 frames) of animation I did the rendering on my laptop (Nvidia GTX1050 2GB). Yes, it took 8 hours but I did it overnight. I used AWS in the past and I was getting the same speed than Ranch for a fraction of the price.
Following the reply of Ranch Computing to my review I'd like to add that yes I did get 7 min for free but had I used a cloud computing service offering free credits (some do offer hundreds of $ of usage for a definite period of time) I would have been able to render hours (not 7 min) for free. Now if some people are happy to pay €20 for 4 seconds of video that's fine I personally wouldn't. Especially if I can have this done on my computer while I sleep. Just a personal choice.

We have checked the logs and the project was very simple which unfortunately underused the powerful machines having 4 GPUs per node. The GPU usage was bad so it could have cost around 5 Ranch Credits instead of 20 RC if the scene would have used properly all the cards.
Anyway good luck for your future projects on other services!

Ranch Computing offer a super friendly and prompt customer support. I used another big name render farm before (mention no names but you can guess). Very abrupt and unhelpful service. Felt awkward phoning when I had issues or problems... not any more! Good work guys and great farm and app :-)
