After 2 bereavements I have made several trips to Ramsdens in Southport as I decided to part with inherited items. Initially I also made enquiries at local jewellers but have found the service is better and the price offered higher at Ramsdens. I have been served by several colleagues and found them all to be friendly, professional and just nice people to deal with. I've made Ramsdens my go to place for currency and recently treated myself to a great value ring I saw in the window. Whatever the transaction I know I will get good service from this lovely team. Thank-you!

I visited the Liverpool City Centre store yesterday with my daughter and was greeted by a lovely, warm and welcoming lady called Sophie. She went above and beyond to help us with the jewellery I was selling gifted to me by my Mother and I was very happy and grateful with how she dealt with the whole process. She gave me a big hug at the end and I would say she’s a huge asset to Ramsdens team. Thank you Sophie once again for your kindness shown to me and my daughter. Elaine xx

I brought a ring and put a £500 deposit down, on 15/05)2026 When I spoke to the staff they explained I could pay monthly which I said I prefer not to. Which the staff member said it was not a problem I could pay the remaining balance before the end of November so I went ahead and paid the deposit. I then received a letter outlining the the payment plan so we went back in the shop and they guaranteed it was a standard letter and disregard the letter The reason I did not want to pay this way is I had my money in a high interest account and I loose the high interest if I drew money out before end of September. So the staff member put me at ease. My wife was still concerned so we went back in beginning of June and spoke to another member of staff and they again confirmed we had nothing to worry about all is fine. On the 13th July I received a phone call telling me if I did not make the payments the deposit would be forfeited after speaking with the staff they promised me they had put notes on the account and they would see me in mid October to pay in full the remaining £1500. Then on Tuesday the 28th July I received another letting warning me again. I called and spoke to the manager as I don't like being lied to and told her her staff have lied to me and our poorly trained. She said that was not the case and although the letter threatened to withhold my £500 it was not a threatening letter. I was really annoyed and said I he in on Friday and pay for the ring. This has lost me money. I would advice people never to use this shop, never trust the staff they lie and are so poorly trained it's unbelievable. I only wish I could rate them at 0

Sold my partner two silver bracelets with damaged clasps. Then noticed tiny tag stating “unreturnable” if removed.Avoid if you want a trustworthy jeweller.

Visited a pawnbroker for the very first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Raegan looked after me and made the whole process simple, transparent, and stress-free. Fantastic, helpful service that completely put me at ease. Highly recommend!

I do not recommend. Please do your research first and be willing to walk away after you get your offer for scrap gold.

I did sell some to them on my visit but thankfully i walked away with over 70 grams as gold arthur offered me £750 more a week later with the money in my account in 2 days. There had been no increase in the gold price

The member of staff i was dealing with told me that some online scrap gold merchants will decrease the weight due to stones in rings. I called 2 x online merchants when i got home and neither of them said they done this nor heard of any scrap dealers doing that. So what is the truth of that statement 🤔

I have been left with the impression that this company is untrustworthy. I certainly will never use any service from this company again

Had a really great experience at the Aberdeen store today. I’ve used Ramsdens many times to sell bits of old/broken jewellery and always had a positive experience, and been offered a fair price. Today was no exception, staff really take time to explain the process and are always friendly and courteous. Thanks.

It is rare this day and age you find excellent customer service in the United Kingdom. I think it is only now left in the Ferrari and Rolls Royce dealerships. However, Ramsdens performed above excellently on their level of service. I was very apprehensive about pawning in my watches and felt a lot of guilt and even some self-pity. However the experience was so smooth and made things a lot easier. It is so good I think it probably beats borrowing a bridging loan on a property I have taken on previous occasions. My loan totalled over £120,000. Only slight delay was I dropped watches Monday and was paid out Friday the same week. I feel this could have been done slightly quicker. Deborah's customer service was impeccable and I felt as if she was the owner of the business rather just an employee of a large PLC.

I went into the aberdare shop today as I lost my card I was Served by Beth she did it all for me and she is so Polite and very helpful

I visited the Ramsdens branch in Grangemouth regarding the value of a set of earrings and an engagement ring (belonging to my late mother). Aimee and Demilee, in particular Aimee was very thorough and took time in assessing these jewellery items. Aimee gave me an excellent price for both which I was very happy and satisfied with. I can’t thank both girls enough for their professional approach and attention to fine detail.

Ramsdens is excellent to borrow or pawn from . They have an online feature so you pay it back a lil at a time . Perfect for me .

I visited the Wakefield branch yesterday and today and was served by a lovely assistant called Connie. I initially called in to request a copy of a receipt for a purchase I made last year and then decided to purchase some more jewellery. Connie was extremely helpful and gave me advice with the purchases. She was both friendly and professional. Lucy was also was on hand to give valuable advice too. Excellent service and I would definitely visit this branch again.

The girls in the East Kilbride branch are amazing went above and beyond to help my friend and I do a transaction with western union.

I had bought a couple of gold items from eBay and became suspicious that they might be counterfeit. Ella, John, Callum and Pearl were incredibly helpful and arranged to send the items to their headquarters so that they could undergo an XRF scan. As the items were in sealed Assay packets their authenticity could not be determined in store. The results would include a certificate and would place me under no obligation to sell the items to Ramsdens if they were genuine. The service was free of charge which was incredible. I also brought in some other gold items which I had owned for over 30 years and which were gathering dust in a box under the bed. They gave me a great price for them.

The professionalism, patience and kindness of Ella, John, Callum and Pearl was exceptional. I am 73 and had never visited a pawnbrokers before. I cannot praise the service I received at the Blackpool branch highly enough. Thank you so much Ramsdens!!!!

Went on the off chance with some old gold earrings to the Aberdare store, was served by Beth and from start to finish she was helpful and explained everything clearly. Fabulous service

Took a sovereign in to get valued just for curiosity, they gave me a price way under what it should have been and l mean way under, would never deal with them again.

I went to the Blackpool shop to trade in a ring. There were so many I liked but not my size. John was extremely patient, helped by Ella. I decided to go for a cuppa and then look again. When I came back I found a perfect one guided by the staff. I feel I got a good price for my old ring and was really happy with my new purchase.
