Highly recommend, good to have a professional opinion presented in a clear report.

David recently completed a post-completion survey on my new build property near York.

I'd had a very poor buying experience with the developer and was keen to get an independent assessment on the house. I had a particular concern about the balcony on my property. Even before visiting, David asked whether I had any particular concerns where I was able to talk him through the balcony situation. David took his time to inspect the balcony and talk me though my options of how to take the matter forward with the developer.

Within a few hours of visiting, David turned around the report and I was able to hand this to the developer within the 7 day snagging period. Although over 110 items were noted, the biggest thing by far was that David did was that he gave me reassurance that everything with the house is OK, and the developer had delivered the house to a high standard.

I'd strongly urge anybody thinking about getting a post-completion survey to do so. There were many items such as incorrect loft insulation, incorrect window latches and missing weep vents, I would never has known about or spotted!

David completed a post-completion inspection on our new build property early this month and we were more than happy with the service provided.
David was very friendly and knowledgable when we spoke in person, with excellent communication building up to the inspection date.
The inspection itself was completed in the morning and we then received the report later that day. The report itself is very clear, with images and arrows to explain each snag.

We have already had quite a few of our snags sorted by the builder with more due to be completed next week!

We would definitely recommend using QHC to anyone who is purchasing a new home, as we would never have even noticed some of them until it was too late.

Recently bought a new build house. I remember going to see it before we exchanged and being told by the guy showing us round ‘we don’t get many snags, people just do it by themselves.’ This is probably why they don’t get many snags. As an unqualified person I can spot most of the cosmetic stuff. It’s the parts I don’t really understand that worried me. Hence the need for a professional snagger, and I’m really glad I chose David at Quality Home Check. He turned up on time and began with the outside of the house. We handed over the house keys and he asked if we had any concerns about anything inside the house. Then we left and he checked the house over, posting the keys back through the door when he left. His report was extremely thorough and emailed to us within 24 hours of his visit. He spotted things I would not have even considered but, quite rightly, needed putting right. All I had to do was hand the completed report, which included photos of the snags, to the developer and leave it in their (seemingly less than capable) hands. Even if I had spent the money and he had turned round and reported no snags, it would have been money well spent for the peace of mind. I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend David to anyone who required their home inspecting (his details have been passed on to a few people on the estate). His prices were definitely on the lower side of the snagging companies we looked at but I feel we got a quality service. I will certainly be looking at booking a reinspection, when the time comes!!
