Aftercare non existent
Aftercare non existent, no reply to emails, after they received payment now ignoring us, not completed what they promised!
Product seems to be ok but left to own devices to figure out how to use it! Batteries we’re supposed to go on wall but on floor, promised a case for them never received.
Several emails sent - no reply. Hoping this negative review will prompt some action!

Brilliant company to deal with,Mike Sheppard explained everything in detail so with that I went ahead with the purchase. Was phoned with an installation date,the installers promptly arrived and just got on with the job,they were just first class perfect installation. 3 electricians arrive to install the battery and soon got the whole system up and running. A very professional company from the Mike the rep,and all the installation crew. Highly recommended.

It has been a pleasant experience dealing with Harry and the team at Pure Energy. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The installation went in smoothly without any issues at all, the equipment supplied works as it should and it is so much fun seeing how much electricity we are actually saving into the battery. I was so pleased with the system that Pure fitted for me that I have now bought a second battery system too ! Well done to Harry and Pure Energy and thank you for all your help.
Following on from the installation further work was required on site - I tried many time to contact Harry about arranging this but I cannot get any response or completion date from Harry. I must say that i am now quite disappointed with the customer service.

Whilst I did have installation problems…
Whilst I did have installation problems with this company I was eventually so delighted with the finished project I decided to give them a full five stars. My installation consisted of a upgrade with a new solar edge inverter and a LuxPower battery unit (three batteries total storage about 11kw). The original panels were all found to be in good order but were rewired in parallel rather than series.
My problem with the installation was they could not get the units inter-reacting with my broadband and it took several visits over three months and I think I had to ask them if I moved my broadband closer to the units to see if it help. So I got it moved closer and everything worked like magic (why they didn’t tell me to do that straight away I don’t know).
Anyway it all works now just as they said on the box. I am now using all the power my panels are producing 2500 kw per year with the rest of my consumption being from Octupus go tariff cheap rate overnight charging of battery. This has resulted in monthly electric bills February and March of £18 and £12 pounds as opposed to 90 and 80 in previous months. Ok it is going to take a few years to repay my investment but it is good for my pocket and the environment. I even use electrics for water heating now and I have a electric car too (ok low mileage 3000 per year). I use gas for space heating so that’s the next problem to solve any ideas.
Excellent service
Having upgraded my broadband, I found that my Solar Edge app no longer worked. I got in touch with Pure Energy and received excellent customer service from the Digital Marketing Manager who quickly realised I wasn't confident about dealing with the technology and said I could ring him whenever my son was next round; this was on a Sunday afternoon, and true to his word, he couldn't have been more helpful to us. Although we failed to reconnect, he then arranged for two other people from Pure Energy to call a week later; these young men were also very polite and helpful and had things sorted out for me in a jiffy!

"Beware" is all I can say and don't…
"Do some research rather than assume" is all I can say after my experience:
I asked for a quote to provide/install a battery and instead got a 2-3hr visit by a very polite gentleman trying to sell me a midlife upgrade with Panel Level Optimisers yet my roof has little shading.
No detailed basis was given in the way of a cost-benefit-analysis so as a Chartered Engineer I decided to do my own research.
It showed that for a system on an average annual production of 3350, there is nowhere near enough extra income to warrant the £3.4K cost to install optimisers at midlife even with maximum Feed-in-Tariff rates. The Optimisers are also other devices to go wrong.
Reading this blog on the matter gave me good reason to doubt the viability for my solution.

Do you need Panel Level Optimisation At All?
If you have a simple roof facing 1 or 2 (or possibly 3) directions with no shade, then there is no pressing need to spend more on PLO.
If you have a simple roof with no shade, and want to squeeze 8-12% more energy from your solar panels, then PLO can do that by simply optimising everything better (by better coping with panel manufacturing mismatch, cloud cover, dirt etc.).

Concludes: On the economic basis alone a pure retrofit of SolarEdge is unlikely to make sense.
There was also a big sell of "Free" 25year monitoring that would normally cost £4K. Most battery suppliers provide monitoring anyway to gather vital data.
The price for a battery was very dear in comparison to others. Maybe that was why I was offered PLOs etc???
The salesman was made aware of very low daily usage of electricity but the calculation of extra return is based on maximum Feed-in-Tariff rate as the system was installed in Oct 2010. Rates fell away substantially before disappearing altogether.

Not great service initially but subsequently rectified by owner of the company
After posting my original review below we were quite quickly contacted by the owner of the company who was very apologetic and true to his word, a team turned up the following morning to rectify the problems.
By lunch time all issues were solved, panels working again, new inverter functioning, Solar Edge app connected and feed in meter ticking over again.
Obviously things go wrong in this world and its how people then respond in those situations which dictates how they should be judged.
On this occasion the initial response was very poor with 2 weeks going by without any meaningful action. However, once Harry the owner became involved things were rectified very quickly indeed which was much appreciated after a long period of stress and worry.
Hopefully, as seen from other reviews of Pure Energy, this was a one off and results in an internal review of their customer service policy to ensure a situation such as this doesn't arise again.
After the initial 1 star service followed by the subsequent 5 star service I think it's fair to leave a 3 star review with the details here giving context for future customers.
Original Review:
It's now 16 days since the installation of power optimisers to my in-laws panels and a new inverter.
The sales pitch promised improved efficiency and energy output which is debatable at best but the work carried out has resulted in their 16 panels not generating any power at all!
This has obviously had a huge impact on their energy consumption but has also resulted in the loss of 16 days (and counting) worth of feed in tariff payments.
In-laws have now wasted 3 full days waiting in for their "engineer" to come and rectify the mess they've made but who has never shown up with no phone call or valid reason.
The whole job has been not only financially detrimental in terms of outlay for the work carried out for a system that now doesn't work but also emotionally draining for a vulnerable elderly couple who are at the end of their tether and mentally fatigued by the whole debacle.
Calls to the customer service department go unanswered and only when calling the "new customers" do we get an answer. However, this only results in new promises of an engineer attending the following day, who never materialises.
If they do arrive and rectify the mess they've made I'll amend this review.

Delighted with this company in so many…
Delighted with this company in so many ways. There is definitely an ethos of making sure the client is happy with everything working well. We have just had batteries installed (January) and within 48 hours we are running on our own power which is a delightful feeling. Mike visited us and worked out our needs, there was no pressure at all and he has remained in touch since, ensuring any tiny wrinkles are sorted. The installers were brilliant, coincidentally we had an electrical trip (nothing to do with the batteries) and within less than 12 hours (at 7am) the electrician was at our home, checked everything he’d done, diagnosed which appliance had caused the trip (not battery related) and reassured us that the batteries were fine. This was unbelievably impressive. Since then we have had a couple of small discoveries (not battery related, more about my new study of the apps!). Again we have been given some fantastic help to resolve these related ‘green energy’ things, helping to make our home as efficient as possible. Everyone we have spoken to in the company has been great. I cannot praise them enough. Thank you Mike, Harry, the electrician that went out of his way and all that we have spoken with. We also now have an amazing system, can you tell how happy I am?!!

The situation I faced was complex and…
The situation I faced was complex and involved, many unforeseen delays. At all times I was met with understanding by everyone in the Company. I cannot speak too highly of the support I received from them. The sales staff were not pushy and gave me time to sort things out, the engineers fitting the batteries respected my home and were a pleasure to work with and the Office Staff were always welcoming and easy to deal with. I cannot recommend Pure Energy highly enough.

Solar Battery Installation
I met with David Kemp from Pure Energy, and he assessed my Solar Panel installation with the figures I provided, and he said I would benefit from a Battery linked to my Solar Panel system, I told him the Inverter was guaranteed for 20 years, and after doing a check on the Solar Panel controls, he said it was performing very well for a 10 year old Inverter and if its not broke don't fix it. David then went on to explain the benefits of a Battery installation and the 'Payback' period, David was open and honest and I didn't feel pressured at any time. At this stage my wife came in and David explained it again, my wife is usually sceptical about people selling in the home but was impressed with the potential savings. With the ever increasing energy costs it really was an easy decision to make. With the App. it's easy to see what is happening with the entire system of Grid, PV and battery. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of installing a Battery, to consider Pure Energy.

An efficient reasonably price firm with god service
Installation was carried out quickly but with care to my property. Price was reasonable. All the staff including sales, office, the actual installers and the scaffolders were polite and helpful. I would happily recommend this company to all my friends

The actual fitting was very good, but after two fitting dates being cancelled we did start to wonder if you were a ligitermate company.
Possibly fraudulent call
Just got a call from a mobile number. So, either previous statement by the company that calls only come from their 020 number is false, or this was a fraudulent call. The person offered a free assessment of my current system. Fair enough? I asked him to provide me with some basic information first, so I could check out the company before inviting someone into my house. He outright refused and argued it would depend on the type of my solar panels. I checked what exactly he wanted to sell, and he waffled something along the lines of “any battery you want”. He was unable to point me towards any written information or even a website. When I googled the company, the site was “under construction”. I would urge anyone to be extra cautious.

David the sales manager visited my house and fully explained the benefits of the upgrade in technical terms and financial advantages.
The order was placed, and a program was issued. That program was strictly adhered to, and the installation and commissioning was carried out in an efficient and friendly manner by two competent workmen Josh and Joe.This included help with the setting up of the Luxpower and Solar Edge monitoring applications.
The new system was up and running satisfactorily before Josh and Joe left my house.
The system has continued to run smoothly and meets the required specifications.
The follow up visit by David was very useful in that he kindly gave advice on good ways to operate the system to our usual energy requirements.

New Age Innovation have been great from the start. Firstly we met John who took the time to explain everything about the performance of our solar panels to battery storage. He was very patient with us and some of our ignorance to how green energy is moving forward. Then we got to speak to Harry one of the founders of the company who again was so nice to speak to and happy to explain anything we hadn’t understood. The installation all went well and we could not recommend New Age Innovation enough to anybody looking to go green!
