Prometour failed to promptly adjust our child's return flight which ended up costing us an additional $1,000 to ensure she was on the flight with us.

We notified them in November 2022 about the request and followed their instructions. However, they did not get back to us with details until January 2023 despite repeated requests from us. The problem was that one part of the company was not communicating with the other and they did not timely notify us that their cost was going to be too expensive. They then offered us a refund of the airfare portion of the ticket cost so we could purchase the round trip ticket ourselves. Had they told us within a week of our request, we would have been able to purchase a round trip ticket ourselves for much less than we were able to.

I anticipate that the tour itself will be fine but the lack of communication in this process has been costly and frustrating. I hope they have adjusted their communication processes due to this experience.

I have used several other student travel companies in the past. None of them compare to the service I receive with Prométour. Our tour consultant, Jennifer Paige, has always provided first-rate service for us. We have sister school programs all over the world, and have chosen Prométour for all of them. This is our 8th year using the company, and every trip has been great. From the hotels, to transportation and local guides, everything is taken care of. They also have always provided fantastic accommodations and meals, (especially compared to other companies we have used which had us in hotels 45 minutes out of the city with bland, touristy meals). I highly recommend this company to any school groups looking to organize a tour abroad.

Our school trip to Austria, Germany, and France was an amazing experience of a lifetime! The itinerary was wonderful and well-planned (thank you, Andrea!), our accommodations and meals were fabulous, and our tour guide, Sabri, was an absolute rock star. So was Martin, our bus driver for the Austria/Germany legs of our tour. What was also very impressive was Prométour's support during our flights home. With all of the airline chaos going on right now, it's not surprising that we had issues. One of our flights was delayed, causing us to miss our connection. Erin and other members of the Prométour team worked so hard--on a Saturday--to help get us home. Erin stayed in communication with the airline and did not rest until we safely arrived home the next evening. Her dedication and professionalism made a stressful situation easier. So grateful to the entire Prométour staff for a wonderful experience!

I chaperoned a high school trip with my son. 33 of us for 10 days. Everything was fantastic. All of the hotels were great, transportation planned and included and the tour guide Sabri was amazing. Our bus driver Martin was with us most of the trip and is a miracle worker with narrow streets. Vienna, Munich, Paris and the surrounding areas. Very very well done. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

A few weeks ago, myself and 13 others joined Prométour on a trip to France that far exceeded our expectations. From Paris to Nice to Monaco, we experienced French culture at its finest through extraordinary cuisines, museums, monuments, and most importantly, people. Our tour guide, Martine, offered a touching experience in many ways. More than just a tour guide, she became part of our 8-day family, sharing jokes, information, and her valuable time with the whole group. I hope those of you searching for a travel agency seriously consider Prométour; they do not disappoint! Thank you for an amazing trip!

I recently went on a school trip to France with Prometour (the name of our tour guide was Martine), and it could not have gone smoother. Our accommodations were situated in prime locations, our days were filled with wonderful experiences such as museum tours and dinners at local restaurants, and Martine was highly knowledgeable and very sweet. I would recommend Prometour to anyone.

We have used Prometour many times in the past. The advantages with a smaller company is that we get a very personalized service. Andrea and Erin are great representatives to work with and Mark was a phenomenal tour guide! We look forward to working with you again!

This is the first time I have used Prometour for a two-day, one overnight trip to NYC. I was thankful that they were willing to work with me to create my itinerary. We were under the gun for planning time, and unfortunately due to all the inflation going on, my trip costs had to increase at the last minute. Since we hadn't traveled in three years due to COVID, it was important for me to take this trip, so we ate the increased costs. I would imagine that with more planning ahead of time, particularly for the trips to Europe, this wouldn't happen. The hotel was so, so but the activities were great, and our one main dinner at a Cuban restaurant was super. They did a nice job of finding a professional company to host our dance lessons, and the guide was knowledgeable and kind to our group. I would consider using them again for a future trip.

One of the benefits of working with a smaller company is the personalized service we receive. We just returned from a school trip to Ottawa, Quebec, and Montreal, and, as the lead teacher, felt confident that my questions would be answered in a timely manner. Every time I emailed, I received a quick reply. I look forward to working with Andrea and Erin once again!

On our recent trip to Paris with our school, I had a wonderful experience. This was my first time as a chaperone and we could not have been in better hands with Martine. She was professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. Our students feel in love with Paris (and Martine) and cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much, Martine, and a bientot!

While my school group had initially planned to go to Germany, due to new government regulations, we realised that it would not be possible only a few weeks before our trip was scheduled to leave. Naturally, as a high school junior that was thrilled for my first trip in Europe, this was remarkably disappointing.

Prométour swiftly stepped in to find an alternative that would allow us to continue to travel to Europe, and our group ended up travelling to Spain, and while there's no way to know, I cannot imagine the other trip could have been better anywhere else.

Our tour guide, Enrique, was the best that anyone could ask for. He consistently went above and beyond for our group of 27 to make the most of our time in Spain. His experience as a history teacher, sense of humour, and overall demeanour quickly made him a well-respected crowd favourite throughout the entire trip. We shared a huge group hug in the middle of the airport in Malaga before our flight home.

All our activities were perfectly planned. It flew entirely under the radar if there was any time constraint or scheduling problem. The flow of the trip was well-paced and gave the group ample time in any place we discovered.

Enrique's familiarity with the cities as a Spanish native and seasoned tour guide allowed him to adapt to our group's personalities and interests quickly. There was one point in Granada when our group split: some opted for free time, and a few of us decided to follow Enrique for a quick tour of the crypt of Isabella and Ferdinand. This tour was one of my trip highlights—primarily because of the rich history and facts Enrique told us about as we marvelled at the tomb. Because of his historical knowledge, anyone would have thought it was on our original itinerary and not a spur-of-the-moment plan. I believe every group should visit the crypt if there is an option.

Overall, Prométour's commitment to the satisfaction of our group was unparalleled and I would encourage any school groups to work with them for any upcoming trips.

My daughter was scheduled to travel with her high school next summer to France. Due to some personal issues, she needed to pull out of the trip. Every personal I spoke to/emailed with was nothing but kind and helpful. We had a simple form to fill out confirming some information and received a full refund. The customer service is nothing short of amazing.

My daughter's school trip in April to NYC was cancelled on March 11th, 2020 due to the pandemic.
We received 50% of the total costs refunded to our credit card on March 19th and the rest (minus ONLY the cost of the insurance) by April 27th, 2020!!!
I was very impressed with how well Prometour managed the crisis and how quickly everything was processed. And all it required was a confirmation of my daughters information and an e-signature - easy peasy!!

note: I'm still waiting for refund from a different tour company on another school trip that was cancelled in March and it's now August, and I've received nothing to date!

I'm recommending to our school that once travel resumes that they ONLY use Prometour going forward!!

I am disappointed that the trip was cancelled due to COVID-19, but am more than pleased with how Prometour compensated the school/parents. In discussions with the school Administration, they are also very impressed with Prometour as an organization.

We received a very fair return for parents due to the cancellation of our school trips. Prometour has been very easy to work with during this most difficult time. Maria and Andrea have been outstanding ambassadors of your company. We will be back.

My daughter's trip was canceled due to COVID, which was expected. We did not know a partial refund was issued on 4/13 until after the fact and during that time, we moved. Refund was sent to old address. I notified customer service (a certain but was told I could not name them in this review) at Prometour of the new address and have been going round and round with her and her (supervisor who is extremely rude and unprofessional). Again, I was asked to edit my review so names are not included. I was told a request to stop payment on the original check was sent to their accounting dept and that a new check would be issued. As of today 5/7/2020, I have no verification that a new check was mailed to our correct address. My emails are not being returned.

Disclaimer that my group did not get to experience our trip to Paris and Rome in 2020. Obviously. However, working with Prometour has convinced me that they are an amazing choice for travel abroad. I did a lot of research before picking a company and selected Prometour because they were the only affordable option which had fully customizable, private tours and booked central hotels. We got absolutely everything we wanted from catacombs to gladiator school to cooking class to a Pompeii day trip. The program and price were enough to get 30 Latin and French students to sign up. Throughout the whole process, Prometour was extremely responsive. Any communication from either myself or parents was promptly returned. How they handled our inevitable cancellation will definitely make me return. Colleagues using other companies reported families losing a sizable chunk of their payments or only getting credits for future travel. We cancelled in mid-March for a June trip. Families have been able to recoup the gross majority of that money. As I struggled with when/if to cancel, Prometour was fully transparent. Within six weeks of our group cancellation, money had been dispersed. Given how many groups must have been cancelling in that timeframe, this is very impressive.
