Buyer Beware – Misleading Promises, Damaged Merchandise, and Terrible Customer Service

I am extremely disappointed with my experience and strongly caution anyone considering ordering custom furniture from this business.

Before placing my order, I specifically contacted the seller to ask whether she could make chairs with predominantly white cowhide. To avoid any confusion, I even sent reference photos directly from her own Instagram page showing exactly what I wanted. She assured me she could accommodate my request, which is the ONLY reason I proceeded with the purchase.

What arrived was completely different from what we discussed. Instead of the white-leaning cowhide I requested, I received chairs that were almost entirely dark brown. To make matters worse, the metal chair legs arrived with noticeable scratches and deep gouges.

When I contacted the seller requesting a prepaid return label, she refused, citing her policy that “custom orders” cannot be returned.

My question is simple: How can you justify calling something a custom order when you failed to make what the customer specifically requested?

I did not change my mind about the purchase. I was sent merchandise that was significantly different from what I was promised, and it arrived damaged.

What bothers me most is that this entire situation was completely avoidable. Had the seller simply been honest and told me she couldn’t provide the lighter cowhide, I would have appreciated her transparency and never placed the order. Instead, she assured me she could deliver exactly what I wanted, accepted my payment, and now refuses to take responsibility for the outcome.

A custom-order policy should not be used as an excuse to avoid accountability when the product doesn’t match what was agreed upon.

Beautiful Instagram photos mean absolutely nothing if the seller cannot deliver what she promises or stand behind the quality of her products.

I am now left with expensive, damaged chairs that I never would have purchased had the seller been upfront from the beginning.

Extremely disappointing experience, poor quality control, and unacceptable customer service. I would not recommend this business to anyone considering a custom purchase.

We would do business with this company again and can highly recommend them for both their service and products. We ordered a large cowhide. It came sooner than expected and was gorgeous.

We order two tri colored lumbar pillows. The order was shipped in a timely manner, however it was the wrong color, black and white. There are no instructions and no address on the Etsy website or on Primeland Cowhide's website on how to return an item, the address where it should be sent and how to get a return label since we were shipped the wrong product. It also says they have a 14 day return policy. How are we suppose to return the merchandise in a timely manner that meets their return policy when we have no clue where to send the return?

Great quality stools. Love the appearance! Would have liked better communication from seller since I requested delivery at a specific time - wish they would have notified me in advance that the delivery was going to slip.

Ordered another pair of hair on hide pillows. Quality is really good, prices even better! Most pillow cases are one-sided. We love Primeland's double sided tri-color cases. Fast shipping and great communication throughout the process. Highly recommend.

Updated review on 28 April. So after the initial review, the company contacted me within hours and in just over 48 hours the hide was in my house. (They went the extra mile and paid for express courier, all the way from South America to UK.) Really impressed. As for the product - it truly is beautiful! Don't hesitate, the hide and the company are the real deal. Thank you again.

Bought a hide in February 2026. E-mailed in March to ask about delivery date. No response. Cancelling order today, due to no show. Based in UK.

We ordered from the company website. We picked the exact hide and size we wanted. We received what we ordered. We are happy with the quality. Great prices. There was a glitch with customs coming from Columbia and the person from the site was very responsive and helped resolve our issue in customs. FYI you may get a bill from FEDEX about paying tariffs and taxes. The site does not charge this.

The cow rug is simply amazing. It perfectly matches the pictures on the website and the quality it’s just great. Delivery to italy was very fast too. It’s exactly what we expected and we couldn’t be happier.

I've purchased many Brazilian cowhide rugs (in the typical cow shape) from a local vendor for about $400 each. When I saw these extra-large patchwork rugs for $700 each, I thought it was too good to be true, but figured I'd give it a shot. When my rugs (quickly) arrived, I was surprised and thrilled to find that not only are they well made, but they are also gorgeous! 100% recommend!

The first cowhide wasn't exactly as how I'd imagined. I reached out and they offered me a discount in a second hide with exact pics of the hide I would get. It arrived well before the expected date and it is exactly as how I imagined it. I love it

I placed my order but was not informed until after shipment that an additional tax was due. I was informed that my item would be delivered by end of day Sept. 5 don’t waited at home but it is the 7th and still no delivery,

Shipping was quick and I absolutely LOVE my cowhide pillow covers. I catch myself petting my pillows while I'm watching TV. :)
