7/23/26 Part 1: exceptional reception, service, and communication until it came time for the quote.
Part 2: after asking if there any way they could work with me on the price, like anything at all even after giving ideas they got bent out of shape and said they would just send the device back without even trying to listen or help me.
8/3/26 part 3 individual claiming manager/supervisor offered a solution that's still outrageously expensive, signed a document saying they will fix issue for $1,400 so i would not loose all my memories, now i have to scrimp and scrape until i can pay this off, i guess ill have to sell plasma or something
8/6/26 part 4 we are working on a solution, supervisor called and will try to watch for any overhead solutions to help reduce price any further. will update on any findings.
9/4/26 after a few discussions with a supervisor they were able to give me a couple folders that were important to me still at a whopping $1,600 (rounded) and instead of a 4 terabyte hd that was promised verbally i was given a 1 ter that i had to also pay for even after donating the 4 ter to them i just agreed to close this chapter finally. i never like to give a negative review, it seemed like he tried its costs money to do this stuff and this is what you are lokking at if you don'y back up stuff properly
i bought 2: 32 terabyte hd for $120 one to transfer the data and use for a main back up one to use as a emergency back-up as this was a very expensive lesson to learn - back up your stuff!!

Quick and easy Process, recoverd all my data without issues.

First, you basically recovered everything on the hard drive, which was great. But also getting this done in a timely, upfront and professional manner really helped set my mind at ease.

Samuel and the team were very attentive and flexible. Just know that fixing a hard drive is expensive but their service was great and I recovered all of my files so I can't complain. I hope I don't have this issue again but if I do, I'll give Pits a call.

We had the data we wanted recovered. That made the experience rewarding. It's tramatic to lose important files because normally you're helpless to get it back. We were able to get the data back.

It’s the same old song and dance, freshly copied data to a different drive and wiped the old one for data protection. THEN 2 days later the drive I copied data to crashed.

I reached out to get the drive recovered and PITS Data Recovery was very reassuring and I was able to connect to a shared screen and browse my recovered data to verify they recovered all my data before they transferred it to a new drive to mail to me.

I was having a severe hardware failure with my external Seagate hard drive. I plugged it into a faulty USB splitter that, and afterwards, any computer I plugged it into was unable to read it and had another device turn off.

I looked into many solutions but ended up sitting on the drive for 2 years. Most recovery places were very doubtful about recovering the data, but eventually I found Pits. It could do the hardware failure recovery data that was needed, was very reliable, and had lots of good reviews.

The process was clear and communicative first and foremost. They were the first people of the many places I contracted that actually understood my USB splitter issue out the gate. The person that helped me out specifically was Kevin, who was very friendly. He specified all the details I needed very upfront, like cost, time, and options. He was nice and very understanding about my specific issues. I got a phonecall the same day I sent my emails, and was able to get all the details.

I was fine with waiting however long it would take, as I’d already been sitting on it for 2 years, but they got it back to me a few weeks sooner than I expected!

All files were recovered. Pits Data Recovery told me it would be about a month, but I received the files in 17 days. They were very transparent about pricing. No surprise charges. Would definitely use them again.
