Picfair provides a service that helps photographers build and run their own online photography store. To support the development of the platform, maintain the tools we provide, and pay the team that runs it, we charge a subscription fee for publishing and operating a live store.

That said, anyone can create a store and explore the customization options on Picfair for free. The subscription only applies when you want to publish the store and make it live so customers can purchase your images.

Awesome picfair

Well they moderate photos first before adding them, that means a great deal to photographers that like critism. Secondly they explain everything and give tips to better photography

Not long ago I left a 5 star review.
Sadly I now my feelings are very different.
I have just found out that Picfair charges buyers a fee in addition to the photo price. This doesn't make me look good when I am promoting my images at a certain price and the client has fees added at checkout. I understand card processing costs money but it shouldn't be added to the price customers pay.
I pay an annual fee for the hosting and I thought that was it. I have a good relationship with my customers. I have had customers look online & then email or phone me to order, now I know why they didn't just buy through Picfair.
If the annual fee doesn't cover card processing fees then maybe charge the seller a small percentage of each sale and not the end buyer.
I still think Picfair are trying to do things right but on occasions I think they miss.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We appreciate you previously sharing a positive review and we are sorry to hear your experience has changed.

To clarify, Picfair does not add a fee to the licence price you set for your images. The price you choose is exactly what you receive when a sale is made. The only additional amount a buyer may see at checkout is a small transaction processing fee from our payment provider, which is based on the total basket value and the payment method used.

All online payment providers charge processing fees in order to handle card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay transactions. Many platforms simply deduct these fees from the photographer’s payout. Picfair instead chooses to keep the photographer’s price intact and be transparent about the payment processing cost at checkout.

We understand that you would prefer this to be handled differently and we appreciate you sharing that feedback. Different platforms structure transaction costs in different ways, and your perspective is helpful as we continue to evaluate how we present pricing to buyers.

Disorder in my Albums

Everything is better than some years ago but the order of my photos is disturbed and not correct. That's very bad for me because in a race the time order is very important... My Albums are always disorganized. I tried the new function "Order by Name A-Z" but seems that doesn't work properly

You can set your store currency in your store settings, and once that’s selected, all image prices will be set in that currency. This applies to both existing and future uploads.

You’re right that the currency can’t be changed directly within the individual price dialogue in the library itself. Instead, it’s managed at store level. You can update it here:

I wanted to cancel my account as not used in 12 months

I wanted to cancel my account having already told picfair I wanted to cancel 12 months ago.

12 months later they are still taking money from my account. I have not used the account at all in the last 12 months and thought my subscription had been cancelled.

Even though I explained this it was ignored and the money taken.

Do NOT use and be ultra careful before parting with your money.

We’re sorry to hear you’re frustrated. We’ve reviewed your account history to understand what happened here.

Last year, when you contacted us about cancelling, we offered a 50% refund along with a 50% lifetime discount on your subscription. You accepted this offer, and the subscription remained active at the reduced rate. As with all our plans, subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled via account settings before the renewal date.

Your subscription renewed this year at £45, which is already 50% below our standard annual price. The cancellation was then completed after the renewal. As our terms explain, we’re unable to provide refunds for renewals once they’ve been processed, particularly where a discounted rate already applies.

We appreciate that automatic renewals can be disappointing if you’re no longer using the service. However, the renewal terms and pricing are made clear at checkout and in your account, and cancellation needs to be completed before the renewal date to prevent further charges.

This was only my second sale

This was only my second sale, but that's because I haven't paid the attention I should have been paying to my store. Picfair offers the tools I need to make more sales, and I am inspired now to take my business more seriously!

Excellent & easy platform to use

Picfair Store makes setting up a professional photography shop simple, even for beginners. The interface is clean, customisation is straightforward, and the built-in tools for pricing, licensing, and print fulfilment remove much of the technical hassle. I LOVE MY STORE, BUT!!!!

I love the tools used to set up my shop, but so far plenty of views but no sales. I wont give up however, because I feel my work is worthy enough.

Impossible to find me

Why oh why will you no longer let people search for an image that looks in everyone's photos? No one will ever find me by my name. but if clients could search for Cedar trees or the Cliffs of Moher, I would have a chance at actually connecting with a real person who just needs to find me. That, and your price increase have me close to cancelling my account.
