Good products but very poor returns process
I have ordered three dog coats from this company at various times in December. The coats are good quality, arrived quickly and were priced fairly.
However, the returns process is a nightmare. I had to send one coat back as it was too large, and discovered that there was no online returns facility. I had to download a form and complete by hand. The blurb asked for proof of posting to be included with the return - not possible because the coat was already securely packaged for return by the time I got to the Post Office. Also, if you sent PetShop Direct the proof of postage, how can you track it - you have no evidence you’ve sent it?
The parcel arrived with them a week ago, but I have had no acknowledgment of the return, and no refund. I tried to ring the company but the ‘phone rang out. I’ve emailed a photograph of the proof of postage to them, and am awaiting some sort of acknowledgement.
I would think twice about using the company again, especially for dog coats, which are notoriously difficult to size and often necessitate a return.
Update 23/12/23
Since writing this review I received an email from the store saying they have refunded the cost of the item, for which I am very grateful.
I have to reiterate, however, that on their return form they do request proof of postage, to quote ‘please send your postage receipt with item(s) back to us’. Maybe I misunderstood this?
I think returns could be easier if it were possible to complete an online form and receive a QR code, which both saves paper and gives the sender an online reference.

Thank you Anne for your feedback. The refund has been processed already, please allow 3-5 days for funds to arrive, however the Christmas holiday might delay the process. Regarding the return form. We do not enclose a printed form to minimise printing, the return form is available online under our return section. It is not necessary to print the form and the returns only need minim information which can be written on paper. The proof of posting is not required by us and we advise clearly that retaining the receipt is for your own records. With our email response today we’ve kindly informed you that refunds during December can take longer than usual. In line with our terms & conditions refunds can take up to 14 days to complete. In your case the refund has been processed in less than 5 days.

Communication needs improving
I ordered 2 Puffa Jackets online on the 3rd Nov 23 this sale was excepted. I was sent 1 jacket. I was then informed contact had been made with me I had no messages. I’ve had to chase up the jacket I’d purchased, only to be told that it was being sent out Wednesday 8-11-23 then I was informed it was being sent out first Class yesterday. Communication needs to be improved.
