If I could rate Persol.com a big fat "ZERO", I would. Persol has one of the worst if not the worst policy as well as customer service I have experienced in my 50 years. I bought my first Persol sunglasses for the first time over the holidays along with 3 other pairs as gifts to my friends and I will NEVER buy from or support this brand again. The pair of sunglasses I bought for myself didn't fit me well due to the design and size so I contacted Persol.com customer service. I was told I could go to a physical Persol store and exchange there. I went to the store and was told the Persol.com is a seprate entity and that I would have to buy from the store to return or exchange there. I then contacted Persol again and let me be clear, the both times the customer service representatives are not from Persol. They are a 3rd party company that handled customer service. Both times my representatives have no answers and could not answer any of my questions regarding my glasses. When asked about exchange, they read from the policy page on the website. When asked about store credit, they have no answers. They kept on insisting me to return and have the money returned back to the orginal payment method after I told them I no longer have that credit card since it was compromised during the holidays so I closed the account. I asked them to give me store credit instead so I can repurchase another pair of sunglasses. They had no answer and kept on telling me to return and have the money will go back to the original payment form. I was so frustrated, not at the representatives who seemed like they just learn the protocols from the Persol website and just keep stating whatever is on it like robots. Even the managers, they're exactly the same. Long story short, I have emailed numerous times, and have called in more than 5 times. My last call I made to Persol to follow up on the request of getting store credit, the rep put me on hold for 15 minutes while looking for her supervisor to help her look for the request in the system. She then came back and told me that she found the request that I made but there's no updates to it so she would put a note and follow up on it. I then asked her for the request confirmation number so when I call in next time it will be easier to find it. She then put me on hold again for 30 minutes and came back, told me something is wrong with the system and she couldn't find the request anymore. WTF? This proved to me these 3rd party services are just there to say whatever and not really providing any customer services that we need and pay for when we purchase from brand like this. Until today, my issue isn't resolved as I have wasted $500 on the pair of sunglasses that frustrated me whenever I look at them. I will not wear them and advertise for Persol. I will probably crush them and throw them in the trash. My first Persol purchase will be my last and I will never support a company doing business as such. It is shameful as I think about how many people out there paying luxury pricing for a brand's name as myself expecting to get quality products and services. Well, with Persol you get more gray hair and unnecessary drama in your life. Stay away!

Without a date THE worst customer service experience I've ever had. Unbelievable for any brand, even more so for a 'luxury' brand.
Stylisch und top Qualität
Ich habe mir eine stylische Brille bestellt und nach anfänglichen Lieferproblemen habe ich den Kundenservice per Email (nicht über die Webseite!) kontaktiert und bekam schnell eine Antwort. Es gab wohl Probleme bei der Auftragsverarbeitung aber man hat mir zugesichert, die Brille jetzt extra schnell zu liefern. Sie war dann zügig noch vor Weihnachten da. Die Qualität ist hervorragend, die Brille sitzt wie Maßgeschneidert und ist extrem stylisch! Ich bin sehr glücklich damit ;-)

Chinese industrial quality and Italian managerial integrity. My Persol frames broke within 13 months. Brought them from Costco. They fell into my lap while I sat; and from my lap to the floor (~2 feet?). Persol uses a third party outfit called “Luxottica,” for repairs. Luxottica demands a battery of photos before they’ll look at the frame. My frame photos, taken with my iPhone 14, were deemed unreadable by Luxottica and rejected. First time that’s ever happened. Not for nothing Costco no longer carries Persol.
They took the money
They took the money, cancelled the order for no reason, straight up lied about the reason (saying out of stock while still available online) and never informed me about this. SHOCKINGLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Horrible Customer Service
I placed an order with Persol, entered my correct shipping and billing address (the same) and then payment. Immediately after placing the order, the confirmation showed that the order was going to be shipped to my old address, the address for a previous order--even though my current address is correct in my account on Persol's website.
I immediately contacted Persol, who informed me their system did not allow them to correct this error.
I wrote back explaining how this was a glitch in their system.
Yesterday I received an email with this message informing me a replacement would be shipped to me:Subject

Persol has beautiful sunglasses. But their Customer Service is TERRIBLE. Clearly this is a company that doesn't give a S*** about its customers.
Katastrophe
Mein Kauferlebnis bei Persol war schlicht katastrophal. Drei Bestellungen innerhalb weniger Wochen – zwei davon wurden kommentarlos storniert, obwohl mein Augenrezept korrekt vorlag. Beim dritten Versuch erhielt ich statt der bezahlten Korrektionsbrille nur das Gestell mit Demogläsern, zudem verstaubt, während mein Kundenkonto falsche Informationen anzeigte und eine Rücksendung online nicht möglich war. Telefonischer Support konnte kaum helfen, der schriftliche Kundenservice reagierte unpersönlich, lieferte lediglich ein Standard-Rücksendeetikett und überging vollständig die wiederholten Fehler und den enormen Zeitverlust. Dieses Kauferlebnis ist unprofessionell, intransparent und enttäuschend – für eine Premiummarke absolut inakzeptabel.

They messed up my order three times
They messed up my order three times, no power in customer service to make any concessions or fixes. Just got the third pair today, and they are broken. The first pair was sunglasses with prescription instead of regular lenses with/ RX. Customer service hung up on me, they just did the same thing in the online chat.

Comprato montatura da vista Persol. Di altissimo livello, moderna e allo stesso tempo classica. Da tempo sognavo una montatura di questa marca io ce l'ho finalmente. Occhiale artigianale fatto a mano di fascia medio alta, costoso come tute le cose di qualità. Mi spiace vi siano commenti sfavorevoli evidentemente dovuti all'incazzatura per il prezzo elevato!

Their glasses are low quality (look worn very quickly, my glasses showed white traces on the frame that come and go). Their customer service is THE WORST. They refused to look at my glasses. They were also very greedy, pretending to give me a compensation, when in fact it's the standard discount they give to everyone...
They made a mockery of the brand, I will never buy with them again.
Failure to deliver
Bought glasses from Persol on the website with progressive lenses. Took 6 weeks dispatch them. Having arrived in this country they failed on a number of occasions to deliver them. Even when I organised with Persol to collect them from the couriers depot, they were not available. I gave up and when I notified them that I wanted to cancel, they insisted that I had to wait until they were in Italy, even though I had never received them. Persol is responsible for ensuring that they are delivered and the courier service is a broker, appalling service

Ho acquistato il 30 Luglio su Persol un paio di occhiali, purtroppo l'asticella destra era storta e ho chiesto il rimborso, ho chiamato l'assistenza (Naomi si chiama la ragazza) ed è stata super disponibile e gentile, mi ha aiutato, ho anche scritto al servizio clienti super disponibili. Per riassumere tutto è andato bene, sia la spedizione che il rimborso. Non capisco certe recensioni negative, capisco che i prodotti a volte possano arrivare difettosi, però l'importante che tutto si risolve. Consiglierei di acquistare sul sito? No, consiglierei di acquistare dai rivenditori riconosciuti, basta chiedere al servizio clienti chi sono.

Zero customer service especially considering the luxury goods they sell for incredibly high prices. Utterly abysmal. Impossible to contact and no after sales care. They obviously hold their customers in complete contempt. No responses on here to any reviews I see.

Beh, dai, ho contattato il servizio clienti a metà giugno per verificare l'autenticità di un paio di occhiali da sole comprati online. Al telefono tutto ok, ho inviato mail con allegati come richiesto, poi il nulla. Ho anche sollecitato a metà luglio, e sempre il nulla. Fortuna che i riscontri dovrebbero arrivare in 24 ore, e che è nell'interesse dell'azienda evitare che i suoi prodotti siano contraffatti. Top, d'ora in poi cambierò marca di occhiali, impresentabili!!!!

Alles hat super geklappt, die Lieferung wurde sehr schnell und zuverlässig organisiert. Der Bestellvorgang war unkompliziert und intuitiv.
Die sehr ästhetische und hervorragend verarbeitete Sonnenbrille kam sehr gut verpackt bei mir an. Die Passform ist perfekt, dank der Möglichkeit, die Brille auf der Website von Persol, virtuell anzuprobieren.
Der Preis ist nicht ohne, aber man bekommt auch viel dafür geboten. Zum einen, hochwertige und polarisierte Gläser, toller, hochwertiger Rahmen aus Acetat und nicht aus minderwertigem Kunststoff und zum anderen, einem tollen unverkennbaren Design, wie es nur Persol vermag.
Kurzum, eine sehr schöne, hochwertige Sonnenbrille von einem traditionsreichen Unternehmen, welche keine Wünsche offen lässt.
Esperienza d'acquisto molto positiva
Prima di scrivere un recensione su Persol, voglio dire che sinceramente non comprendo tutte queste parole negative nei confronti di questo storico produttore di occhiali che leggo in questo sito. È pur vero che non rispondono alle mail, anche alle mie, ma d'altronde capisco che ci vorrebbe un impiegato a tempo pieno per far solo questo lavoro. Molto probabilmente ricevono mail e richieste dell'intero pianeta.
Altro discorso è il numero verde al quale rispondono sempre e con estrema cortesia. Infatti li ho interpellati per due giorni di seguito vedendo la spedizione bloccata. Mi hanno risposto educatamente dicendomi che visto il periodo c'erano ritardi per il gran numero di ordinativi. Si è verificato tutto ciò che hanno detto rispettando esattamente i tempi di consegna. Insomma, meglio di così non poteva capitarmi. Aggiungo che anni fa ho avuto anch'io una brutta esperienza d'acquisto con loro, dovendo peraltro farmi riparare una montatura difettosa. Alla fine, dopo molte rimostranze si è risolto tutto. Quest'ultimo acquisto è stato perfetto, segno che evidentemente stanno correggendo le loro mancanze. Come dicevo tempi di consegna previsti rispettati in pieno, occhiali favolosi dalla qualità costruttiva inimitabile. Un consiglio a Persol: curare molto meglio la vendita online dei privati e di aggiornare il sito il quale a mio avviso non è adatto ad un marchio così prestigioso.
Per quanto mi riguarda al momento Persol merita a pieno titolo le 5 stelle.
cheap aftercare - not a 'luxury' brand way of doing things
Lovely frames, but I lost a screw and emailed customer service and they want to charge for it. A screw!!! I got a screw free from an optician but it sticks out and looks a bit funny, so I wanted the original. And they want 80p for it. Fair enough, I'd happily pay postage, but wtf. You fork our hundreds of pounds on frames and this is the aftercare.
For comparison. I have a Mykita pair of sunglasses from 10 years ago, which aren't made any more. The arm broke off, and they took it back to their factory, repaired the arm seamlessly, attached it, and sent it back, all free!
