Menopausal women beware. I purchased these Kate Modal Soft Full Length PJ set because the brand heavily promotes its Tencel material as being suitable for night sweats. Unfortunately, I found the opposite to be true—the fabric seemed to trap heat rather than keep me cool and comfortable.

The pants were particularly disappointing. The waistband has no elastic and instead relies on a thin drawstring/cord to keep them up. The cord loosens easily, and because of the weight of the pants, they can start slipping down. When tied tightly enough to prevent this, the cord digs uncomfortably into the waist.

I was also disappointed by the heavily promoted “365-night return” policy. The wording gives the impression that you can wear and trial the garments during this period, but the policy actually only applies to items that have never been worn and have never been removed from their packaging. I find this very misleading, particularly for sleepwear where the whole point is to be able to wear it and see whether it actually works for you overnight.

Overall, I would not recommend these garments for women experiencing night sweats, and I think the return policy should be made much clearer before customers purchase.

$159 for a set of pjs. Worn 4 times and i washed them according to the care instructions. They completely frayed on the collar. I contacted the company twice with no responds. Very poor quality and customer service.

For the price ($67 for a shorts and t-shirt type pajama set), the items were very cheaply made and the fabric is thin. One pajama set I ordered had no hems, just the raw fabric at the edges of the sleeves and bottom edge. The company charged me $10 to return the set and only offered a gift card and not a refund. I will not buy from this company again.

Although the designs are pretty, the fabric quality is terrible . Stretches out of shape very quickly and thins out easily. I would describe this brand as mutton dressed as lamb in terms of quality. It’s definitely no where near the price they charge .

The sizing for the nighties is good, but for the pj pants its very small. The fabric is very flimsy - so far my nighties haven't developed holes but they're only 6 months old and I hand wash and drip dry them. A washing machine would shred them I think. I hadn't thought of getting some made - good idea given the price of the sleepwear.

Beware. Sizing is inaccurate. Slippers are narrow and small. Not normal sizing for NZ. I bought size M slippers and they are a narrow fit and size S.
Cannot return if on sale.

Threadbare and so thin that the nighties, tops and shorts (cotton) developed holes in them after a wash despite placing them in laundry bags on handwash. Spent hundreds of $$$ but no more. For less than the cost of their high end nightie, I can have a dressmaker make quality nighties so that is what I'm doing.

Bought a Christmas gift and was informed could exchange at the time
Took back to exchange, it's a kids size, nothing reasonable to swap with, and only choice was to spend more money $70.
So expensive.
The young girl was quite condescending.
I shouldn't purchase clothes size 10 for a 14 yr old.
OMG how rude, the child is 10. An elite swimmer and the 10 is super small.
Could not get a voucher or a refund.
What a waste of time.
If the person on the counter was at all pleasant, but no she wasn't.
Papanelli you need to choose your staff more carefully.

Sadly the modal pyjamas have pilled after about five washes and today my fingernail made a hole in the fabric. I have two pairs. They were expensive.
I am not able to recommend this product and I'm so disappointed.

Terrific customer service online, from Daphne, needed a big favour, I needed the next size up for my daughter and Daphne made it all happen, we did the return, the re purchase, the postage all made it on the day before she left for the UK. That was close and mission impossible!! WE DID IT! Thank you DAPHNE 10/10 and of course the pjs are luxurious xoxox

I ordered a few T-shirts form them. Three of them are stained and unwearable. I sent them an email with pictures, and original tag attached, asking for return instructions and/or refund.
They responded that the pictures were not clear enough. I re-sent them the pictures, and there is no response from them
I'll take it up with my cc company and necver order from them again

They are trustworthy with high quality items. I have many clothing items and they are definitely high quality. I’ve never had any problems with the quality or the transactions. I will buy again and again. The wrapping to ship is beautiful. They have great communication on their shipping and updates. Some of these poor ratings I suggest you take with a grain of salt. Don’t be afraid to buy from them.

This was my first time purchasing from Papinelle. I had to return a couple of items. I saw on the website that they would deduct $9.99 for the return, but they actually deduct $9.99 twice - they wouldn't let me ship back all return items in one package (and don't tell you that in advance). Therefore, returning the items ends up costing twice as much ($19.98). On top of that, they only give you store credit for returns on sale items. Will never purchase from this company again. It's too risky to purchase items that may not fit or be poor quality, and then be charged an arm and a leg to return those that you don't like.

My silk pant ripped after a few months and as I have several pairs of there other pjs in cotton they are not even worn that much as I like the cotton when warm . Customer service was all about past receipt even though posted Photo of all 8 pairs of pjs. They were not going to do anything. And after that request never heard from them again

Horrible customer service i have sent over 5 emails without a response no phone number I am missing one of my items worh $55. I don't know what else to do very disappointed. Do not buy anything.

At first, I thought that the cotton/silk pajamas and nightgowns were a dream. I own 4 sets of PJ’s, a robe and 1 nightgown. I have also gifted my friends and daughters, and clients with these also throughout the years. They all have fallen apart at the seams. I have restitched some, however, they continue to fall apart. How very disconcerting when you find a product you love. What am I supposed to do with ALL of them?
I recently purchased the 100% cotton set at Nordstrom’s. They are thicker ( which makes them warmer) however, I’m hoping that they will be more resilient. No one ever responds to my messages. Customer service is non existent. Shame on this company!!!

Poor quality fabric - tears - less than a year old - no customer care

I have been a loyal customer of the Papinelle brand for many years and have always been impressed with the high quality of their cotton products. However, in the last couple of years, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of their fabrics. Recently, I purchased some summer nighties that ripped after only two wears, and the cotton underwear I bought is extremely flimsy and tears easily. It feels like the material is as thin as paper. I am wondering if this is a result of shrinkflation. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the decline in quality.
