Beautiful Silk, Recurring Waistband Defect & Disappointing Customer Service
I never imagined I would be writing a negative review about Lunya because, until this experience, I genuinely loved the brand.
Since 2021, I have purchased approximately 10 washable silk pajama sets, investing well over $2,200 because I believed I was buying luxury sleepwear made to last.
I have always taken exceptional care of these garments. Every set has been washed on the delicate cycle, inside mesh laundry bags, using detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics. They have never been placed in a dryer and have always been air-dried.
Despite this, three different pairs of silk pants have all developed the exact same waistband seam failure in exactly the same location, while the rest of each garment remains in excellent condition.
To me, this is not normal wear and tear. It appears to be a recurring construction issue.
I spent weeks working with Customer Service, providing photographs, purchase history, care labels, and detailed explanations. Instead of investigating why multiple garments purchased over several years failed in the exact same way, every response focused only on the fact that the products were outside their 1.5-year warranty period.
The only solution offered was a 20% discount to purchase more products.
As someone who has invested more than $2,200 in Lunya, I found that response incredibly disappointing. My concern isn't only about the three damaged pairs—it is also about the seven additional silk sets I still own. If several garments have already failed in exactly the same place, I have little confidence that the remaining ones won't eventually experience the same issue.
What disappointed me most was not simply the denial of my request—it was the complete lack of acknowledgment that multiple garments purchased years apart all failed identically.
Luxury brands should stand behind their products and value loyal customers when recurring quality concerns are raised.
I sincerely hope Lunya reviews its manufacturing quality and how it handles long-term customers because, despite loving these pajamas, I can no longer recommend investing in them based on my experience.

I ordered a dress from this online shop that all the influencers on TikTok are promoting. However, I received a different dress. The seller is not responding. I threw the dress away and the money is gone. Also, this model is no longer available online. The seller is a scammer.

I was really excited to find these silk slippers—they’re beautiful and very stylish. Unfortunately, after just two wears they became noticeably loose on my feet, which means there’s little to no support. At this price point, I expected both comfort and style.
Now they’re too loose to comfortably wear with my silk loungewear, which is disappointing given how much I initially loved them. I’m typically a size 9½ and wish I had sized down to a 9. I’d recommend ordering a half size or full size smaller if you’re between sizes.

I loved the og washable pj set. But everything else is quite messy fit wise. Overpriced and terrible sizing. They also make it so hard to leave a review on items.

Customer Service is horrendous, they do not answer emails timely and I paid for expedited shipping and it took 5 days. They refused to refund the shipping.

Horrible Experience
The only thing my wife asked for for Christmas this year was an upgrade to her sleepwear. I chose to give her a Lunya gift card and as a thank you, Lunya sent her a "Cozy Cotton Silk Pocket Henley" with TWO STAINS on it. She also ordered 2 pairs of "Organic Cotton Socks" and only got sent one. What a joke.

I have experienced exactly the same as the lady below. I have carefully followed the washing instructions and these pjs are now falling apart. For such an expensive and supposed “high quality” product you wouldn’t expect it to fall apart after two years. I contacted their customer service team but there was no concern at all about the poor quality. Such a shame because they were so nice.

Very disappointed in this brand I previously loved. After only 2 years, carefully following the care instructions, my $200 dollar set of pajamas has started to tear apart with holes at the seams. Customer service was a nightmare with original order. They were responsive when I sent them this problem, but I was told that is normal wear and tear. For me and my money, that is not normal. I guess it is not high quality after all. (Also they block your reviews on their site!)

I am so disappointed this company. The sleep mask is both too loose and gave me a headache because of the large elastic band. The waistband on the shorts is too tight (I ordered XS and wear a size 0/25). I tried to return them but they only give you fifteen days, which is surely how they make their money. I got them at Christmastime and was traveling so that wasn’t even a possibility for me. I can’t even exchange them. I am just out over $200.
TERRIBLE Quality
I have owned 3 sets of Lunya's Washable Silk Tee Set, purchased between Jan 2019 - October 2020. At nearly $200 per set, I expected a certain level of quality. All three sets fell apart within 3 months of purchase, in spite of my carefully following the care instructions. I am talking SHREDDED after a few washes. My mother got me a gift card for Christmas 2022, and I contacted Lunya to ask them to refund my mom (since I refuse to own any more of their low-quality products), and unfortunately they will not refund my poor mother... she just wasted her money, which seems to be the heart of how they make money. I've tried to go online to review the products that I've personally purchased on Lunya's website, but they do not allow customer reviews on their website (they use a paid SEO service to make their reviews "look good"). All of the positive press is bought-and-paid-for noise. DO NOT trust this company.

Quality is beyond terrible . If you want to spent a ton on clothing and wash once and never wear again Lunya is your go to . What a huge waste of my hard earned money
No customer service
Terrible customer service! I ordered a pajama set for a family member. I put in the shipping address for the gift, but the confirmation page wiped out my shipping address and inserted my address. I immediately called to have the shipping address corrected. The company informed me that once the order is placed no changes can be made. The company also stated that if they attempt to change the address then they are no longer responsible if the shipment is lost. I then tried to cancel the order, but they refused to cancel the order.
Pretty disappointed in the stitching
I loved the washable silk dress until I got out of bed this morning and the whole thing ripped. The stitching is not reinforced and it's easy to tear the fabric. I emailed asking if a replacement was possible but only got a $20 discount code. Pretty disappointing. For a $200 nightgown, I'd expect higher quality.
