I'm in Scotland, but I'm from Ottawa. I've gotten my parents a hamper for the last few years for Christmas and they're always excellent. Easy to customise, beautifully packaged and high quality items. They're always delivered on time.

Everything went great with my order! It was a thankful gift for a customer and he's very happy with the gift.

NOT RECOMMENDED, delivery was a s*^t show. Ordered two days before it was to be delivered. It was delivered two days after the requested delivery date. When I asked why, I was told it was only ordered on the delivery date!!! They take no responsibility and blamed me for the screw up.

Sent me the incorrect box and stuffed bear, box lid had come off the hinges during shipping due to poor craftsmanship. Contacted customer support was informed that the box was not damaged enough for any compensation (wanted the box i ordered)

I live overseas and wanted to organise a special surprise for my dad on Father’s Day, so I ordered a cake and a bottle of wine from Ottawa Baskets. I followed all instructions carefully, including providing my dad’s local mobile number as requested.

I later received a notification that the package had been delivered a day earlier than the date I had selected. The attached photo showed it had been left on the doorstep. I messaged my dad to let him know, but due to the time difference, several hours had already passed.

It turns out the courier never rang the doorbell or bothered to call the number I provided. When my dad retrieved the package and opened it, the cake was a complete mess - likely due to mishandling during transit.

My dad contacted Ottawa Baskets’ customer service. Initially, they offered a refund or a replacement, but when he requested the replacement, they refused, citing the “high risk” of it arriving damaged again. For a company that specialises in gift delivery, it’s surprising to see so little confidence in their own delivery process.

The following day, I received a refund notification - with no explanation or apology - and had to find out from my dad what had happened. The $20 shipping fee was not reimbursed.

This was meant to be a thoughtful surprise and instead turned into a major disappointment. I won’t be ordering from Ottawa Baskets again.

I ordered a gift basket with next day guaranteed delivery, it was delivered 5 days later. If I could give then zero stars I would. Do not order from them.

Don't order from here, they are misleading and it's false advertising. Go somewhere else this place sucks.

Similiar to every review below. Order from them because I thought they were located in Ottawa and recipient lives in ottawa. Chose dec 23 ship date ( ordered Dec 21). Its now Dec 29 - I have contacted them at least 7 times and I get standard cut response of 'watch the tracking site' Track site shows canpar got item yesterday with delivery expected next week (at which time the recipient will be on vacation.

Items never got shipped. Customer service stopped replying. I am at the point of claiming this back through my credit card

I spent alot of money sending a gift to colleagues in Ottawa. I used Ottawabaskets.ca thinking they were honest and legit as they literally say based in Ottawa and that there was free same day delivery. I ordered the gifts on Tuesday and I'm told they "may" arrive by end of day on Friday. I ordered "fresh" baked goods for no one to receive them cause no one is around on a Friday night to receive them. So disappointed, I would NEVER recommend this company ever.

I had a planned vacation from November 29-December 15th out of country, and was unable to deliver in person a 60th Birthday gift to a member of our leadership team. Given this I entrusted Ottawa Baskets with curating and delivering a large selection of items, a planted Orchid, Helium Balloon, a bottle of champagne, cake, and many other assortments of snacks. I selected a delivery of November 28th and left the country very early the next day. When I finally landed near a WIFI signal I was so dissapointed to hear the state of the delivery. The flower pot was smashed, the helium baloon deflated and limp, the cake crushed on one side with the icing all over the lid, the box of the lid of the champagne. There was just a complete lack of care. I immediately followed up with customer service and sent photos. They responded quickly about a 24 hour notice and how they would refund the balloon only. Buyer beware! DO NOT depend on a good delivery and ensure you contact the receiver within 24 hours or you are cooked. I have photos available for anyone interested.

I placed an order from Thunder Bay using my credit card. As my mailing address and the address in Ottawa where the basket was to be delivered to were different, I found out, only by email that they would not process the order until I sent an etransfer. They said they would refund the credit card amount, so obviously it went through. I will not pay twice. I cancelled the order and still do not know when I re pay. When I call their customer service number, it says to leave a message and hangs up on me. This is a very questionable business.

Received a cake that was completely crushed. Customer Service refused to offer full refund or replacement cake.

The package was 3 days late even though I ordered the package 2 days in advance.
When I called them they were rude, not really professional, and they just wanted to wash their hand saying that it was the responsibility of the delivery courier.
I will never use their services again. Please stay away from this company as for a moment I felt very disappointed.

Atrocious customer service. The CSR manager Valerie is so rude. I wish I could post photos of the screenshots I took of our emails. I was spoken to in the most unprofessional way. She finished her last email to be with “Bye.” Like what? What kind of business treats people that way?

Don't pay for one day shipping, you won’t get it. It says open 7 days a week, 365 days a year on their website(I’m sure they will change this after my experience) for ordering but they don’t honour that. I ordered 4 days before Christmas(Dec. 22nd) and paid for 1 day shipping and waited 6 days only to find out that my order hadn’t even shipped yet. I was belittled and bullied by Valerie via email and eventually had to file a dispute with my credit card to get my refund. She spoke to me like a high school student with an attitude not a professional business. The reviews section of their website is blank so I’m sure that they delete all negative reviews given. Avoid this place like the plague.
