1/5 seems generous for these cowboys, nonsense streaming site as a front for what is just a scam. Be careful when on public wifi as they seemingly hijack it

This was a complete scam, I had no idea I was authorising this payment and - though I don't remember clearly - I think it seemed to be in connection with another payment which I meant to make.

As it happened with many of the other reviewers, I was doing something else on my phone and a card verification came up, which made sense as I was trying to verify my identity for a job application. However, this verification was unrelated, a 50p charge which my bank alerted me about, then I realised it was a subscription which would start charging £29.99 a month... I have just cancelled my cards...

I was in a pub in London a week ago. I ordered food via the pubs menu app. I was charged a token amount of 50 pence. Monday this week I was debited £29:99 as a subscription charge I knew nothing about. I don’t know how this can in anyway be lawful. It’s an absolute scam. It must be criminal and I wonder if this company is being investigated..
My bank has reimbursed the £29:99. I also cancelled my card.

Scammed by this company when setting up an account for ordering food in a Southsea restaurant. As with others they took a 50p preauthorised amount then started a 29.99 monthly direct debit. Card cancelled to stop further payments.

This company is a scam. While in Italy I got charged for the month of August and September for something that I don't even know what it is . I was trying to top up my cell phone with Iliad mobile a French provider and this link came up, followed by charges in August and September. I have no use for this service since I live in Canada.
I want a credit for two months charged without getting anything in return. On top of all this, their automated contact service suck, they never get back to you as they promise.

Had £29'99 taken from my account with no authorisation , they said the money was for subscription that I know nothing about , I have asked them to supply details of what I am supposed to have subscribed to. With no reply . Be aware as they have stolen your details and seek to continue unless you cancel the card . Have now received email telling me that I authorised the subscription and they sent an email confirming the transaction , both claims are untrue there was no email , and even if there was I would have immediately contacted my bank to block it . The first I ever heard of Original plus was when I saw the £29-99 reduction on my account. You only need to look at the dozens of complaints for the same thing from angry posters to understand what's going on here.

I tried to pay for parking at a national trust parking area, was asked to "verify the card" by approving a 50p payment, then £29.99 was taken out of my account, I did not authorise this payment i did not purchase any item or service.

Scammed me for 29.99 through the Uber app. Had no idea when I was asked to verify email and card details with a transaction for 50p that the site was nothing other than Uber. One week later a payment of 29.99 was taken from my account. Luckily bank have refunded as fraud but would advise to cancel card as this company now has your card details.

They took money out of my account without authorisation. Luckily my bank have now blocked them and I am in the process of trying to get my money back. Fraudsters

This website/service very much appears to be part of a scam operation.

The way it seems to work is that an innocent member of the public is trying to use their phone to pay for something (unrelated to "originalplus"), and something pops up that looks like a card/payment confirmation. (Not sure but as this happened in a public place, it may possibly include a wifi hijack as well.)

Tapping the ad takes you to originalplus.co's website without this being obvious. Here you are asked to verify your email and credit card with a transaction for £0.50. The money is refunded, and it seems OK.

What happens now is that you have actually signed up for a 1-week trial ending in a monthly subscription of £29.99, with no information that this is what you were doing.

They do actually email you, and there is even a website with what looks like a video streaming service on the end of it. It looks like they are trying to make it look legit, and perhaps have some fraction of the people who are snagged stay on the subscription, at least for a while.

Another thing they seem to do is reply to the reviews on Trustpilot, acting all innocent and asking you to contact them to discuss, as if to try to suggest that it is just a glitch. I ask you then, why is every review for them on Trustpilot giving them one star and call them a scam outfit?

If you have been a victim of this scam, effectively your card details have been stolen, and you can take it up with your card provider that way. They should stop your card, reverse the transaction, and issue you with a new card, which is a nuisance because you won't have a card for that account for a few days. However, as the card issuer identifies multiple fraudulent transactions with the same merchant, the merchant will soon be shut down, at least in their current guise.

Went to set up the Ring Go app. Was a scam site that when you went to download the Ring Go app. downloaded this company instead. Unless you seriously want to subscribe to this company I would avoid like the plague.

I too had an unauthorised subscription taken from my credit card of £29.99. I cancelled and contacted my Credit card company immediately to cancel and luckily it was only 1 month. Their Customer services are a shambles probably a bot by the reply as totally unhelpful . To be AVOIDED at all costs. They are a nightmare. My credit card company is now takign over trying to retrieve the money.

I'm a coach driver who tried to pay for parking in London...I've now been robbed of 29.99 for a subscription I know nothing about. Have informed the bank and now in the process of trying to cancel....😡😡😡😡

I too have had £29.99 taken from me for a subscription that I did not know I had taken out.

Stole money out my bank, reported to fraud team and are to be investigated by TS. in reply, Not a chance, i had to get my bank to do a charge back, Apparently you are being watched by them.

Hi .I've had £7.49 taken from my account. Didn't have a clue who this company is. Contacted my bank through online message as was Sunday yesterday. Still saying Pending, so nothing can be done ,even though the amount has already been taken from my account. I only had enough in my account for my direct debits, that's how I noticed that my account was £7.49 short. Bank said to get back to them when it's not showing pending Ffs my daughter just told me it's Temu

I did NOT sign for this and they got in by mistake and I was charged £29 99 out of my Bank virgin and they had me signed up for this amount every month. I CANT GET THAT BACK OF THEM. ALL SO WHAT DOES A 84 YEAR OLD POORLY MAN WITH THIS.but no help from anyone. Roy webster.

Scam scam scam scam scam! I've never heard of them until I had a pending sum of £29.99 on my bank account. No idea how they got my details, rang my bank straight away, (wknd) they couldn't do anything until the payment came out of pending (it just did). Now I've got to cancel my bank card and deal with the fall out of that. Reading the reviews on here, they've reported the reviews and had them blanked out or put an apology note underneath the review asking reviewee to contact them. It's a joke! They sent me an email acknowledging the payment when it went through, option to contact them with any issues, but you have to fill a form putting your name, address etc. I'm being polite so they don't have a reason to report my review and get it blanked out, however I am extremely angry! It seems everyone is being stung for £29.99, Googling them too, people are saying same thing, same amount. It's low enough for you not to notice if you have various subscriptions etc. It's a lot to people in my position to lose tho, I'm a disabled pensioner on a tight budget. I only noticed it by chance they nearly got away with it. I hope the bank fraud dept catches up with them, I'm sure there will be a lot of people who don't notice. Have absolutely no idea how they got my details. I'm absolutely fuming!

This company somehow scammed my mum out of £29.99 through something that popped up while she was trying to pay for parking on a recent visit to Bakewell. I believe it has cancelled now but will be keeping an eye on the bank account to make sure nothing else comes out so we can report this fraud. Avoid like the plague!
