Omron equipment is not ideal if you have a health condition where blood pressure equipment is a necessity.

This is my second Omron Blood Pressure Machine, purchased in October 2021. I am 76 years old, my doctor suspended my blood pressure pill with the condition that I measure my blood pressure 4 times a day. I called customer service because for the past week my pressure has been reading very high when I take the first measurement, and then it gives me a normal result when I take the second measurement. The customer service rep told me that my options were to go to the doctor with the equipment and compare measurements with the doctor’s machine, or to send the machine back and that would take at least 3 weeks to evaluate the equipment. The option of going to the doctor is not possible since I have to take transportation and it is difficult for me due to my health condition. It is very important to be aware that Omron equipment is not ideal if you have a health condition where blood pressure equipment is a necessity.

Kun omron julkaisi uuden sovelluksen ja pakotti käyttäjät poistumaan vanhasta hyvästä, sovellus lakkasi tällöin toimimasta. Vaikka useaan kertaan omronille lähetettiin ilmoituksia viasta, omron ei ole muuttanut sovelluksen toimintaa eikä löytänyt ratkaisua ongelmaan. Ostamani viva ei siis toimi enään uudella sovelluksella.

Ratkaisin lopulta ongelman vaihtamalla merkkiä ja huomasin omron vivan näyttävän arvoja muutenkin pieleen.

En suosittele omronin tuotteita enkä nykyisin käytä niitä itse koska asiakas ei ole omronille tärkeä ja omronin tapa pakoittaa asiakas tiettyyn toimintamalliin kielii itsevaltaisesta käyttäytymisestä.

Your better off guessing the temperature then using this product

I purchased my Omron MC720 from Chemist Warehouse in Bentley for $64.49. I was aware that it takes a button battery and I didn’t mind so much because it’s something I wouldn’t use too often. Other similar products come with AAA batteries and I was worried that the AAA batteries would go bad and leak after sitting unused for several months.

The first time I used my Omron MC720 I realised it was complicated to use and was not a good product. It was 4 degrees different from my other two thermometers. I pointed at my sons forehead and it was telling me his temperature was over 40 degrees.

The next day I took it back to Chemist Warehouse with the receipt and I was told by the manager that I couldn’t have a refund, he told me Omron were difficult and it must be sent to Omron so they determine if it is faulty. I filled out the paperwork with my details and explained that the inaccurate readings will be in the memory.

Whilst in Chemist Warehouse I searched for another thermometer but this time I checked the reviews with my phone. I found another brand that had great reviews and it was a similar price. I then approached the manager and asked it I could just swap it for the faulty Omron MC720. He took the Omron MC720 and tested it on his colleges foreheads and understood how inaccurate it was and he reluctantly agreed to the swap.

I am dissatisfied with Omron and I will steer clear from any of their other products in the future.

Arm cuff did not fit

On Monday my GP asked me to monitor my blood pressure for a week as it is rather high. I collected an Omron blood pressure monitor but found that the cuff did not fit. I contacted the surgery and unfortunately there was nothing they could do as they had tried to contact Omron to get a larger cuff. I visited my local boots pharmacy who referred me to numark in Nottingham. I purchased a larger cuff got in home but it did not fit. After exhaustive searches for a suitable cuff I just gave up. I even contacted Omron and the response was poor. I recommend going to boots for 5 days and getting your bp tested there saves alot of fiddling

Omron is going downhill. Stay away!

Omron is going seriously downhill as a company. I strongly suggest you consider another company for blood pressure (BP) monitors or scales due to their recent anti-consumer behavior.

For example, in order to get value out of their BP monitor, you need their app (Android or iOS) to store the data and chart the results. The original free app Omron provided did all that. It received the data by Bluetooth and quickly kept the records.

Then Omron became greedy. They tried to force everyone to go to their new app, that cost the user €9,99 each month for the same functionality you got for free before. In a year the subscription cost more than a BP monitor.

The new app looked worse and failed to sync properly with most Omron BP meters and scales making it useless. At the same time, Omron broke the old app to force people to pay the subscription fee for the new app.

In the meantime, customer service is now abysmal. They don't respond to emails anymore. So they are a rip-off company. I advise you to stay away!

Wir haben zwei X7 Smart gekauft

Wir haben zwei X7 Smart gekauft. Waren zufrieden bis die neue App installiert werden musste. Danach ging nichts mehr.
Hilfe gibt es nicht. Wir werden die Geräte entsorgen und uns um Blutdruckmessgeräte bemühen die auch nach dem Kauf einen kundenfreundlichen Service
garantieren.

Omron Upper Arm BP monitor

We have an Omron Upper Arm BP monitor, model BP785N, bought in August 2019, still covered under the 5 year warranty. For approximately the last year we have put up with problems with the machine suddenly stopping and showing depleted battery icon, even if you just put in new batteries. The spring connectors appear correct, and we even applied duct tape directly over the batteries to keep them tightly in place. Yet the problem persists, happening very often now, and have to use AC adapter and lose the portability of the machine between us. The customer service representatives at Omron were professional and courteous, but it is the company's policy for warranty/repair that I take issue with. You must return it, at your expense, for Omron to inspect it, which leaves you without a monitor. They do not have any local repair dealers, this is the only way. Therein lies the problem - what do you do if home BP monitoring is required prior to taking medications twice daily, and BP results govern whether you do or do not take your medication? The only answer the representative could give me is that they do not have loaners, that we could buy a "backup" monitor while they are doing the inspection. Really?? As a retired health care professional, this is the second Omron BP monitor I have purchased, but it will be the last.

Das eigentliche Blutdruckmessgerät von Omron

Das Blutdruckmessgerät von Omron ist gut wird jedoch durch die dazugehörige App völlig abgewertet. Der Zwang zur Registrierung und die Speicherung der "persönlichen" Daten in einer Cloud in den USA ist für Europäer sinnfrei, nicht zu vergessen die völlig überzogenen Kosten für ein monatliches Abo von 10€ um die eigenen Daten zu betrachten bzw an den Arzt weiter zu leiten. Ich werde keine Geräte mehr von Omron kaufen!

Omeron app Always has trouble syncing…

Omeron app Always has trouble syncing with the devise. My iPad and my iPhone don’t easy connect to the Bluetooth in the devise (a new platinum model) and when it does, the app doesn’t reliably update.

Omron Home Use Blood Pressure machine

At the request of my PCP whom I haven't seen in person for 2 years, only virtual visits, I purchased an Omron home blood pressure machine. I am going to assume that most such machines are used by 'the elderly' or perhaps 'senior citizens'. It is EASY to use by one person. The readout is LARGE and EASY to read. It was inexpensive. I use it every day and record the results. BUT the machine is made of slippery plastic with no surface ridges where one might get a grip on it. It is impossible to grasp with finger tips and it is heavy given its small size. Bad design.

Very unhappy with „upgrade“…

I was happy with the blood pressure machine until the associated app was „updated“. It is now much more difficult to access readings and no longer links with apple health as it used to. It also keeps asking me to subscribe at cost. Presumably I’d be able to use the functions I previously had access to if I did that! What a con.

I purchased the Omron Platinum Blood…

I purchased the Omron Platinum Blood Pressure Monitor a little over a year ago. Wasn't happy with the machine while I was using it as the reading was consistently 10-15 points higher than my true measurement. After using the machine for a year, the cuff actually broke off. Customer service refused to do anything about it. Stay away from this piece of trash machine and piece of trash company.

OMRON CONNECT APP FAILURE

OMRON CONNECT APP FAILURE - I use a blood pressure monitor with their app. The app was updated to a newer version which was not prepared for non US users to use AND they make it impossible to use the old one once you have started the update process. After a lot of inadequate communication with customer support about when they are likely to provide a working app I was told - "Thank you for your email! I still do not dare say, when exactly. We are working on it. As fast as possible, there would be a solution. Sincerely,Yavor Angelov" Useless !! So I now can not use my blood pressure device with the app and have to record everything down using pen & paper and for how long seems to be anyones guess !
