Just bought a SIM card
Just bought a SIM card. Put £30 on it. No network coverage. Contact 02. Faulty Sim. Will replace in 4 working days. I’m now without any phone service. I care for a mother with dementia and all o2 can say is sorry. Far from good enough. I am beyond words and incandescent with outrage at this terrible service and huge inconvenience.👎🏻

The signal is abysmal and continuously cuts off, I have to hard reset my phone to get it back on. Is this normal service? O2 seem to think so, when I complained they said there’s nothing they can do. Another lost customer.

Terrible signal quality compared to the others!
Very expensive 4G which is nowhere near the speeds of EE, Vodafone & 3

O2 are shocking at customer service
O2 are shocking at customer service. Just called them to pay off my device balance to discover the tablet that came free with my phone contract is in fact not free and I've been paying for it for the last 18 month's. There is nothing on my app to suggest any other payments other than mine and my son's phone. All they could say was go into the store that sold the contract to you!! That's it now after 10 years of loyalty to them I'm off and also letting all my friends know to do the same!! Well done O2, take a bow.
Poor Customer Service.
Poor Customer Service.
o2 are an appalling company who consistently demonstrate poor customer service. I would advise anyone contemplating taking out a contract with this company to choose any other carrier. Customer service levels are totally unacceptable.
i would give them a -1000 if could!
i would give them a -1000 if could!! ive had my phone stollen while on holiday, so after ive got back home ive contacted o2 to get the EMEI number and to block the handset ONLY!!! BUT they have refused point blank to give me the information that i need to then pass onto the police and insurance company. They said that i would nee to log into my online o2 account (but they have locked me out of that as well) so four different web chat parsons later i am still no closer to getting the info i need. (to think i had paid for phone insurance with them for over 6yrs!) This is how they treat their customers!! I have contacted then today for 'proof of use, inc the EMEI' but they said they wont help me as im not a customer of theirs! DONT GET YOUR SERVICE FROM O2 AND MOST DEF DONT GET PHONE INSURANCE FROM O2!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID THEN LIKE THE PLAGUE AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! oh and their customer service is UTTER SHOCKING!!!!!
IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT.
Millions of customers lost service and as usual the provider blamed it on faulty software from a third party.
I had O2 with Tesco Mobile and had no service in Jersey which is part of the UK and only 120 miles from Poole when I asked Tesco support why they could not tell me.
It also appears that O2 were attempting to change something and this was when the fault occurred.
IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT.
Absolutely poor service today
Absolutely poor service today! I am an o2 customer since 2006 and I'm a paying for two contracts and because of the signal problem today, I called the O2 as I need to know when there're planning to sort out this mess as I have an important call for my clients in regards to sort out their annual return. I am out most of the time from my office so I do not have a connection except using my mobile data; however, the impersonal, predictable and robotic style of responses from 02 is an absolute annoyance! I cannot get a proper response!
The worst mobile contract provider I have had.
I have taken 2 phones with sim and one sim car contracts this year but such a disappointment. I have heard that o2 is the best network provider but for the last couple months I have been disappointed and from last night I have no internet connection AT ALL. I do not understand what for I have to pay If I am not unable to access the service. I really want to opt out from this contract free of charge and any fees as this is providers unavailability of service. In my eyes this is rip of.
Shocking service for such a large…
Shocking service for such a large company. I asked to change my tariff to pay as you go. They told me it would take 24hours and it would be sorted. Eleven days later and after six visits to he o2 shop and numerous phone calls and it was still not sorted all you hear is they don't know why. Hold on if they don't know why they shouldn't be in the job. I will never go to o2 again. WARNING. Stay away.
O2 used to be really really good.......
Both voice and data connections are beyond terrible during the day at my home address, constantly jumping from no to full signal and back again to the point where you can't make or receive any calls. Data connection constantly jumps between 4G, H+, H, E and G, rarely connecting to any of them, when it does connect it is unuseably slow. But then at night I get full voice signal and a constant fast 4g connection. It is quite obvious that their network cannot handle the amount of traffic during peak times, which seem to be from around 7 am right through to 10pm, funny that, considering they rent their network out to most of the virtual operators like tesco and lyca. Their call center staff are neigh on useless, and not to be trusted. Over the last 3 years I have been fed no end of conflicting crap from them during the many wasted hours conversing with their south african call centre and dont even get me started on their 'gurus'. They have tried to blame my issues on anything they can. Faulty handset/sim, er no I've had 3 new handsets and countless new sims, problem continues. I get told I'm not in a 4g area, despite their laughably inaccurate coverage map stating I am, I get told I am in a 4g area but masts are down yet their 'handy' online live checker states all is fine. I have been promised refunds only for them to 'have no record of a refund being authorised', no records of previous conversations etc etc etc.
They make it incredibly difficult to issue a written complaint, I have had call centre staff just hang up on various occasions whilst I was trying to track down their elusive customer service email address. In the end I had to go through resolver to contact them in writing and then they made the process as difficult as possible by refusing to reply to my resolver case email address. Their customer service representative was very rude, flippantly refunding me £45 in the hope that it would slove the issue. She pointedly ignored any technical questions asked about their network and kept repeatedly stating that from my data usage it is clear I do not have any issues. I am well aware of how much data I use, I pay for it every month. I am also aware that most of my data usage is at night, when I can actually use it! From her responses it was clear that she did not even look into the matter. In the end she just stopped replying to me. I must send o2 over 10 network reports on a daily basis (reports that cost me data may I add!) more than enough data for them to see that their network is neigh on unuseable for 16 odd hours a day yet they still say nothing is wrong and that it is in my contract that I may not receive full service during peak times. I am now with the help of resolver taking my complaints to the ombudsman.
So in conclusion what was once a very good network has sold it's self out to so many competitors that their long standing customers suffer. I find it hilarious that most of the virtual networks they provide infrastructure to get voted higher in customer satisfaction polls than they do! 62% of o2 customers are happy with their service compared to over 80% of tesco mobile according to the latest which report! Might be something to do with their terrible customer service!
O2 Lies and Lies
Could not give a 0 rating, 11 years a loyal customer with 3 contracts. My wife was lied to about a better upgrade at your Bradford branch. Within four hours we called your customer service department for an explanation. 21+ days later you now tell us that you cannot do anything for us or revert us back to our old contracts.
For weeks you have told us it is being sorted ! We even have you on recording saying it will be dealt with. Clearly you couldnt be bothered about your customers can u ??
You must be kidding
I have been an o2 customer for years, when i damaged the handset i thought i would be ok as i have insurance with o2, so i rang o2 and spoke to somebody who apologised and told me to turn of the find my phone, I told them we had just moved and had no internet and this would be a problem, i was then put through to apple insurance who told me there was nothing they could do until this was turned of, to cut a very long story short we made several visits to the o2 shop and then to the apple shop all to no avail, by this time i was getting very angry, and made several more phone calls to o2 , it was like banging my head against a brick wall, i then found out who the CEO was of o2 and sent an E mail to him, this was nearly four weeks ago, i managed to get the find my phone turned of with the help of a friend, then we found out that the insurance was with o2 in the first place ???? anyway the replacement phone arrived and lasted three days before that stopped working, i rang o2 and told them i had had enough and wanted my contract cancelled as i had had enough of there apologies by this time i still had no response from the CEO ! i asked the person i was talking to at o2 and i said that do you expect me to pay for a contract you cant provide, £60 for a handset that doesn't work and £120 to get out the contract there not providing and was told yes they did, I think that sums up the customer service to expect from this company, as yet i still have not heard anything from o2 including the CEO so i suspect i wont now, and there favorite saying I DO APOLIGISE im sick of hearing it and as soon as my contract is up i'm of be WARNED
Market Harborough O2 Shambolic.
Firstly please understand I am a retired gentleman in my early seventies and not very hooked up with the understanding of all the technical workings of the modern phone.
I have been an O2 customer for a number of years using a rolling PAYG- £10 or £20 when needed every few months.
I purchased a new One Plus 3 phone and went to my local O2 store to ask them to transfer my data from my old Samsung. This was duly done and in the process the assistant asked if I was interested in purchasing a contract. I did say "I was quite happy", but he explained to me for £9.00 I could have sufficient minutes per month. I did explain, with my old phone a £10 top up would cover my usage well over a month sometimes two.
He insisted a O2 Business Contract was what I needed, but how wrong I was to accept what he said, because this was just the beginning of all my troubles. He never explained anything to me about usage or how to use the phone to my best advantage.
After only TWO DAYS I got a message telling me that I had used up all my UK data. The £10 I had put on had gone. I thought this could not be right so I just ignored as I had only used the phone a couple of times.
But after four weeks I received an E Mail with a bill for £92.30.
I then tried without success to log into My Business Account only to be told "no service available".
I went back to my local O2 store but even they could not get into my account to check for me. I knew then I had been sold a package which was not fit for my use and I left the O2 store with regret that I had been talked into a Business Contract and now it was a different story when I asked for help and understanding it was not forth coming.
What where they thinking ? ?, putting me on this contract a pensioner that only uses the phone occasionally.
I then sent an E Mail to the O2 Complaints Review Service explaining the terrible customer service I had received and after they reviewed my case I was credited £72.32. They upheld my complaint that the customer service I had received from the Market Harborough store was not up to their standards. Also that they would raise feedback about my experience with the staff that had dealt with my account and for me to go to the store and return my account to a rolling PAYG. Cancel the Business Contract and have my number transferred. I did think to be fair the O2 Customer Review Service at the time was being very understanding but how wrong I was. I found out later the store had learned nothing as when I returned to the store with my letter they where not interested. They stood around talking and when I asked for some help it was as if they where doing me a favour and the impression I got was that "it was too much trouble". The answer I got was they could not help me and I would have to ring the number myself and explain the situation while handing me a phone.
Just think for a moment, while they stood around talking among themselves.
After trying to use the phone it run out of battery power and I shouted over to them "could someone please help me".
How degrading I have never in my seventy plus years been treated with such disrespect.
Eventually one of the staff took my letter to the rear of the store and sorted it out for me. I gave him £20 to put on the phone thinking "thank goodness back to normal with my rolling PAYG."
How wrong I was as within a few days I realised they had NOT put me back onto my rolling PAYG. It was one of them bundles.
Again terrible customer service. To think that a company that is in the business of communication. The store in Market Harborough cannot even communicate with its customers.
The big mistake I made was thinking that by going into an O2 store I would be in safe hands and the staff would look after me.
To put it mildly I have been Peeeed Off with the whole experience and you can draw your own conclusions and hopefully learn how not to be treated by such a shambolic Market Harborough store.
Ps:-
I am now Surprise, Surprise not with O2 and back onto my
Rolling PAYG with 3 Three.co.uk.
Terrible company
When you eventually get through to them they can hardly speak English.
Had to ring up 3 times to pay my bill as I was emailed that my bill needed paying and they kept saying I had no outstanding balance.
Then they disconnected me and tried to get me to pay a reconnection which they eventually waived but put a late marker on my credit file.
Absolutely seriously stay away from this company I'm also with EE and even though they aren't perfect they are 100% better than o2 better offers better coverage and better customer services.
Worst ever do not use
Had no choice. After reaching out for your help to barring a tablet billing to account you failed. Customer service was horrendous noone knew what they was doing.... Saying they can't Barr an o2 sim card o2 purchases because it's a tablet I smell BULL. I have 2 kids which ran up a bill..... I've changed passwords with out then knowing to extremely had ones and they still can make purchases........ When my 4 contacts are up I'm going elsewhere. End off poor service! Credit to the guys at Burton on Trent store if only they did customer service for the whole company you'll have much better rating
Bad till the end
Just received my final bill (yuppy!!)
And I have to read that if I don't pay my stupid £10, they will report me to credit agencies or pass my accounts to debt collectors; I mean, really? In 4 years I have never missed a payment, is there really a need to threaten me like this? Can't you wait until I do miss a payment maybe?
As I said, bad till the very end. Bye bye o2.
I will not miss you one bit!
Hahaha
