A great course thanks to Nigel, who made it interesting and informative. There’s a lot of stuff to take in but manageable, and learned a lot of tips and cleared up some things. The venue was decent, at an Eddies wholesaler so didn’t feel out of place! Refreshments were supplied and I was glad of the air con as in high 20s all week.

Overall the course was good and I…
Overall the course was good and I passed which was a bonus.
I did feel that the course was very rushed and that starting at 9am and finishing by 3.30 made it feel more rushed than it needed to be. We are all tradesmen used to long days and starting early and finishing later isn’t an issue for most, as nice as it is the have an early day sometimes, if the days were longer we could have gone more in depth with some of the section that were more difficult.
One participant decided to tell us the ins and outs of how they do it for London Underground taking up time we didn’t really have, instead of limiting his time to talk about things not relevant to most of us the course teacher just sped up instead of making the day longer or keeping the conversations relevant.

I attended the online fundamentals course with Martyn .
Martyn hosted the course really well and given that the emergency lighting regulations are derived from a library of different publications and I give credit to him-he has to get through a lot of stuff !! .
I did feel a sense of awkwardness ( possibly due to time constraints of delivering the course ) when I asked several questions and that the assessor was at times short and sharp in some of his responses ok , that may of been because there isn’t time to ask questions .and if that is the case - I can’t see any reason we were all on a weblink just record the course and send the video rather than us all connected (30 or so ) on a web and audio link .
