I was simply getting a quote from this Co I asked for the name of the company looked them up, so all the negative reviews and told him no thanks he then proceeds to send me this email: “You must think I'm dumb, I know once you asked my company name you started looking us up. You think because we have bad reviews were not a reputable company? I'll tell you one thing honey, if you go with a company that looks great on the internet you’re going to be in for a real treat on the day of pick up.” I’ve never dealt with someone so unprofessional and rude. If he’s that way before I sign a contract, I can only imagine how he be after- scam artist!!!

I inquired about a move. They called me WEEKLY until I made a decision. Was given a quote to move from Ohio to Mississippi. They were 4K cheaper than the competition. That should’ve been my 1st clue. Turns out they are a BROKER not the actual movers. The moving company was late. They did their walk around and said the quote wasn’t high enough, so he did an additional quote. Almost 6 thousand higher. I had no choice so we did it. When it arrived late the next day, they only had 2 guys with 2 20ft trucks. It took them almost 5 hours to unload. They didn’t want to reassemble anything even though I’d paid for it. Once they left we started unpacking. They broke a glass quilt holder that was a family heirloom. We’re missing over a $1000 worth of stuff. I’ve tried to contact the guys that were calling me to no avail. I’ve called customer service and they are beyond rude. When I questioned her she replied I didn’t ask her to look into it. Really? I told you I wasn’t happy with being charged almost 6k more. Should’ve been her 1st clue. Supposedly the CS manager only reports to the owner and refused to let me speak to anyone else. There’s no way I’d EVER recommend this scam company. Buyer beware.

Don’t get confused this is a broker not a moving company! They scheduled my move with a company that had no contact info, Then the moving company never showed up and when I called to get more info the customer service “supervisor” said they can’t do anything about it and refused to refund my money. This is a scam company

We got a quote from them but ultimately decided not to use them. We told them why - we didn’t want to use a broker and their online reviews stink. They continued to harass us with rude phone calls and texts demanding that we sign a contract.

Just stay away from these con men.

Navistar are a bunch of liars. If you are doing an interstate move don't use Navistar. Their representatives - Ray Alexander and Nathan Hughes - lied consistently through the process. I was promised a 53 ft. truck from an know national carrier. I was even sent the binding quote with the mover's name in the subject line. I wanted to avoid someone coming with 2 26 ft. trucks and the off load and reloading. Which is exactly what happened ultimately. When I called the named mover< I was informed they never heard of me or Navistar. I tried repeatedly to reach Ray, Nathan, Quality Control or customer service who I was finally able to get to. When I found out that, in fact, a local carrier who was using two 26 ft. trucks, I was not happy. The company was United Speed Movers out of Elizabeth NJ. My estimate based on inventory was ~2200 cubic ft. When they finished they told me it was 4050 cu. ft. WE agreed on 3700 cu. ft. though I felt that this was very incorrect. My quote was for ~11,000 and they increased it to ~16,000. When my goods finally arrived from Relocation Xpress the amount of cu. ft. in the truck was ~2200 cu. ft. I have pictures to prove it.

I was missing a couple of items and had damage to an antique.

United Speed did a good job wrapping and taping the boxes and items we prepared. I'd give the 3 stars based on missing items, damage, and the excessive cubic feet I was charged for. Otherwise, they were efficient.
When I tried to go on the Navistar website to file a claim, my tech administrator blocked the domain with the following message:

They defrauded me by quoting $2200 and then asking for $6000 for no reason. They refused to take my items unless I paid them 3x more with no justification. Scam artists!

They arrived on time, were very pleasant, and delivered quickly. EXCELLENT. Just wanted to say I would definitely use Navistar Van Lines again.

Navistar Van Lines (Chris) claimed they were an actual moving company with trucks. They said they had a big rig which they would take out of commission for the entire month in case we needed to change our move date, since we would be utilizing the whole big rig. They did a full inventory over the phone (including measurements of every piece) and told us there would be a live walk through just prior to the move, knowing they rushed me to sign a contract stating I waive that right. They originally quoted us $13,100 to move 2 5-bedroom homes from Arizona to South Carolina and required a deposit by check only. They pressured us to secure a deposit, saying that there were many people moving right now and we needed to lock in our truck. I asked for time to review the contract before signing, but was pressured to get it done so we could receive the purported discounts. 5 days before the move they called to verify our inventory. There was no in-person walk through as we had been told there would be. After initially removing some of our inventory in order to give us the initial lower estimate, the second inventory call resulted in a new estimate of $18,800, requiring a second deposit of $2,500 by check only.

We began to be suspicious at this point, but they already had our deposit, so we crossed our fingers. On the day of the move, unknown movers showed up with 2 trucks that were unmarked and not 1 Navistar Van Lines big rig. We were expecting 1 big rig, but thought the 2 smaller trucks would suffice. After loading half of our belongings onto one of the trucks, we were informed that they didn't bring the 2nd truck for our move, and that we were only quoted for 1 of the trucks they brought. They then told us that we had omitted an entire household from the inventory we provided. We were then told that our move would not cost the updated amount of $18,800, but would now cost $35,000, to be paid in cash. We told them to unload our belongings from their truck as we could not proceed with their services. They tried to hold our belongings on their truck until we paid them $2,500 in cash. We called the police and our belongings were roughly and angrily removed from their truck. Navistar tried to convince us that the movers often overestimate not to worry, it wouldn't cost us that much. They also tried to convince us to allow the movers to take half our belongings to South Carolina and make other arrangements for the other half of our belongings that would still be in Arizona. When we declined, they informed us that we would not receive our deposit as we only had 3 days from the date of signing to cancel.
Every detail we discussed over the phone was a lie, except for the date they would pick up our belongings. They rushed me into signing the contract knowing full well that the contract I was signing did not, even somewhat, represent the conversation we were currently having. They lied about their function, their years in business, their fleet of trucks, their processes, their estimates, and on and on. They have fake reviews to further defraud the public.

From start to finish they are bad

Run they are amazing when they want your business. Do yourself a favor and filter the reviews on google to the least star reviews, the truth is there!

Let’s start with the contract, please read every part of it thoroughly! Ethan was my sales person who took account of every single item I was taking. Room furniture a living room and 30 boxes! They quoted me and advised they were the moving company themselves!

Surprise day of move I was moved by stop and move company. Secondary company!!! Stop and move advised the quoted amount wasn’t enough and needed $3000 more. The driver stated he has had this issue with Navistar before.

I was in tears i repeatedly called until someone answered which wasn’t an issue when they took my money. I was advised to stop calling and sent to customer care.

Michelle answered, stating my fault even though they (navistar) noted a complete inventory of my items contract attached! I had even down sized was no longer taking the couch they quoted or table with chairs! She basically stated take the quote or wait for a refund of my $1500 down payment! Well I had no choice as I had to move by that date!

I called after finally settling in(items delivered by a third party)!!spoke to Michelle which is extremely rude and she began saying the contract didn’t say a couch which I advised her to look at the original contract with the same pricing which her rebuttal was oh well we advised its an estimate, same tone of no concern or care! Once I stated I was recording her and her horrible service she ended the call and sent a email, attached

Right idea wrong person!

High pressure sales wanting me to put another $1100+ deposit with them, I explained I already gave a deposit with another company and it is too late. He was yelling at me, because I did not want to save $400. I explained I was unable to cancel my unrefundable deposit with another company, he didn't care and insisted I can work that out, just give them a deposit to save $400.

I hung up and he called back to yell at me even more. Don't trust anyone who wants cash up front. They all lie and quote low, but jack up the price once your in.

The only reason for one star is that it wouldn't let me give it zero. I was given 72 hrs. to cancel before they would cash my deposit check. I called the very next day to cancel after deciding it was too expensive and to go with UHaul. The paperwork said to give a written cancelation to Navistar on their website. The 'contact us' button didn't work. I talked with chat and he said the website wasn't equipped for messages. So, I called. I explained that I had decided to go with Uhaul and he rudely argued with me and claimed "I'd gotten a lower quote from a different mover." I hadn't called any other movers. I'd decided to move myself. He finally said that the financial department would call me. I kept my phone with me all day. They didn't call. The next morning I discovered they'd cashed the check despite the cancelation. Talking with my bank, I learned the check had been cashed immediately after I sent it. They hadn't waited 72 hrs as promised. No one at Navistar has responded to my voice mails asking about it. Navistar is a scam, the men that called are con artists, and the place should be shut down.

Do NOT give these people your money. YOU WILL REGRET IT! They went absolutely crazy on the phone when I asked to alter my scheduled move.

They are scammers. They gave a very good price quote and asked to pay immediately the deposit by check and bank transfer. I was little suspicious and later when I said I can pay deposit by credit card, he said NO, I told okay I can transfer by paypal, he said NO, he said credit card and paypal are fraud!
By using credit card, you can claim your money back if they dont provide service!!

They are thief, scammers and fraudesters! DO not use them.
Report to the authorities if you can!

This is the worst company!!!! RUN....I HAVE PAID THEM OVER 10, 0000. THE MOVERS NEVER SHOWED WHEN EXPECTED WITHIN THE CONTRACT. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OPEN AND TOP IT OFF THEY SOLD MY CONTRACT TGEY ARE BROKERS.....OH MY GOODNESS.....in tears!

I had a binding contract with the price for the move of ($3214) and put a deposit down($996). Day of the move, the movers attempted to charge my wife an extra $2100. They told me I'll be forfeiting my deposit if I don't come up with the extra funds. Now they have my deposit and my household goods are still in the storage unit Texas. I tried calling Navistar and for 2 days they avoided my calls. And once Michelle (customer service) finally picked up; I asked for Peter Strubel, I was placed on hold and he conviently "wasn't in the office". Michelle's tone then became aggressive once she realized who I was and why I was calling. She then sent me a copy of their predatorial contract that has a disclosure where they can legally rob you.

Navistar Van Lines and we entered into a contract to move our household goods from our home in Ohio to to a home in Michigan. Since we needed three months of storage, Navistar representative said he will include the free storage and confirmed it with an email.
The moving company showed up late on the moving day with a small Uhaul truck and they claimed they were to take only 750 cu.ft. despite all the items specified on the contract with the estimate. It was gonna be extra charge of $15,000 to fill the truck. They were giving us no choice but to accept the huge extra charges since we needed to vacate our sold home. We had to get help from our friends to locate and move our belongings to a nearby storage facility for the items the moving company would not take. Since we could no longer trust the moving company, we told them to just take that what they can without us incurring additional charge.
Now that we contacted the moving company for instruction to deliver the cargo to our destination, they were asking for the storage charges before they can release the cargo. They said the email confirmation of free storage until delivery date is not valid because it is not specified in the contract that we signed even though the email contained the official company logo.

Two major complaints from us are:
1. The company intentionally underestimated volume despite all of the items we listed that needed to be taken.
2. They are not honoring the promise of free storage until delivery despite their email confirmation.
