NEVER USE NAPIER PARKING

I experienced technical issue, thus payment failed. I returned home and paid the parking charge immediately (3 hours later) for the parking session I used - £5.50.

I received a fine . I appealed and sent evidence of payment snd explained circumstances. They charged me the fine and refused to refund the £5.50 parking charge I paid.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

It is a shame that there is no option for 1 star!

Like most people, I did not read the reviews prior to parking in one of Napierparking car parks. I have been stung with a hefty fine like many others and I'm now in receipt of an aggressive letter stating that my right to appeal will result in the loss of a discounted fine, the cost of the fine (at the discounted rate) equates to £257 per hour!

Attempts to appeal were met with generic, dismissive responses that clearly hadn't considered the details of my case. There letter also contains photos (as proof) form different car parks.

This car park appears more focused on generating revenue through penalties than providing a fair or customer-friendly service. It's incredibly frustrating and leaves you feeling exploited rather than served. I won’t be using their car parks again, I have learnt my lesson and I’d strongly advise others to avoid it if they don’t want to risk being unfairly fined.

Avoid Parking anywhere where this Company are involved!!!

They are parasites, please do not give them any money, i for one will be parking outside of the area now, and contacting the local council to pass on my displeasure

They’re greedy and wicked.

They’re greedy and wicked.
After my one hour expired, I paid the second time and left. Weeks after, they slammed me a fine for not paying the first.

I sent an appeal email to them attaching the two transactions I made, the debit was clear and it showed where the money went to but the refused my appeal and said that I should pay 20pounds .

Please never use this car park for any reason

Please never use this car park for any reason. They are horrible.
My husband parked and paid for an hour. When he realized he has passed one hour, he paid for another hour before leaving. We got a ticket and appealed, sent proof of first and second payment that was paide before leaving car park.

Unfortunately we lost the print out receipt at the parking site.
Napier has rejected the appeal stating their system did not recognize the second payment for the vehicle registration.

How is that even possible??
They are horrible. We would never use that spot ever again.

NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS METHOD OF PAYMENT IS STILL BEING FALSELY ADVERTISED...
IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A RIDICULOUS CCJ ON YOUR HANDS EVEN WHEN PAYING VIA THE APP AS INSTRUCTED THEN USE THIS CARPARK.
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING AND RIDICULOUS.
Even showing evidence of payment.. yet they are still after my money.. a £5 parking which was paid via the app with proof of payment... Has now turned into a £500 CCJ case.. which has left me no choice but to pay.. this a scam of a company and I suggest avoiding these car parks at all cost.. if you want to keep your money.

I will now do everything I can to avoid parking with this company ever again. On appealing sending the ticket image and evidence of my child's injury causing us to go just 15 minutes over our ticket they rejected the appeal saying that instead of seeing to my child's injury I should have read their terms and extended my car park. What a joke!!! He hurt his foot on the stones in their car park! Absolutely lacking any human consideration or response. Disgusting. Shouldn't even bother offering an appeal if a child being hurt in their car park isn't a reason to reconsider their parking charge.

Absolutely criminal

It's criminal to fine anyone £100 (if not paid within 14 days) for a seven minute stay.

I appealed the fine, but it was rejected because you refuse to take personal circumstances into account. You've lost your humanity.

Saying that you're "unable to cancel the charge" is an outright lie - you absolutely have the ability to... but you choose not to because you're leeches.

Oh, and your Terms & Conditions doesn’t say how long your “consideration period” is - you’re clearly just making it up as you go along. It’s exploitative.

There are people out there who are struggling to pay for food, heating, electricity, rent, taxes, etc. It’s beyond me how you’re able to fine people £60 or £100 for seven minutes - it’s criminal.

Ticket machine scam

I tried to pay for parking at the machine - the payment went through and showed as pending on my account, but it did not print a ticket. Napier have subsequently cancelled the payment (so it now doesn't exist - although my bank have confirmed verbally that they can see that it did exist at the time) - and issued a fine. Their argument is that I'm in breach of their terms and conditions that state I should display a valid ticket in my vehicle. They don't care that I tried to pay and somehow failed - there is no goodwill on their side.

Had to give a One star as this in the…

Had to give a One star as this in the minimum. Fined £60 for driving onto Snettisham Beach, Norfolk, with a disabled person in the car only to find the beach was not suitable for them (a shithole). Made an appeal against the fine but this was rejected. Thieves and money grabbing bastards.

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company. I paid to park in their car park and left an hour before my time limit expired. I was sent a PCN and when I produced evidence I had paid, they still tried to charge me £20. It turns out the machine had only printed two letters of my car registration. I am certain that I put my whole registration in and the machine was at fault. It does not make any sense that I would make the effort to pay for a ticket and then get overcome with laziness such that I would only put two letters of my registration in. When I questioned why the machine was even able to accept incorrect registration, they simply dismissed it. I attempted to appeal, but apparently common sense and common decency evades the appeals service also. What an awful experience.

Rude inconsiderate parking company

Appealed a ticket as I drove in and drove out as I was in the wrong place as I was not from the area. My car was there for less than 10 mins and I didn’t leave my car, appealed it to explain my personal circumstances and that I didn’t buy a ticket because of a grace period and I didn’t park and use the car park but they said it was correctly issued and that I have to pay. Due to being pregnant I can not deal with the stress to take further so have had to pay despite about to only be on maternity pay.

The most disgusting company

The most disgusting company I have ever dealt with. I agree with other reviews, they very clearly money grab and they don't at any point consider personal circumstances. I have a disability which I provided evidence of and they still fined me anyway. £100 fine for unloading a heavy piece of furniture when there were no available spaces outside of my new property. Don't bother appealing, as they do not care. I feel truly discriminated against.

AVOID NAPIER PARKING ITS A DISHONEST SCAM. I would like to rate Napier with 0 ⭐️

I would like to rate Napier with 0 ⭐️! One star is too generous for this dubious, unfair bully of a car park company. I informed them their machine was faulty as it didn’t print my ticket correctly when they tried to fine me. I paid the correct fee and displayed the ticket for the duration of parking back in January. Their machine only printed part of my number plate! They agreed to take this into consideration. Then they wanted me to pay an additional £20!!!! No I already paid the fee at the car park and displayed the ticket!!!! Now they have sent a threatening legal letter threatening court and asking for £160!!! I’m about to call them this morning to inform them I will not be paying any more money to this shady outfit and I’m in possession of a valid parking ticket still for the duration of my parking in Truro in January. Take me to court I’m sure the judge will enjoy having their time wasted on this. AVOID PARKING AT A NAPIER CARPARK AT ALL COST

Pulled into the Fareham train station…

Pulled into the Fareham train station Napier car park. No signs saying no waiting. I sat in my car in the middle of the car park not in a bay for 11 minutes and received a fine of £60. Explained the personal reason I was in the car park and no signs saying no waiting. regardless was given a £60 fine or threatened with further action. Beware

I purchased a ticket and didn’t…

I purchased a ticket and didn’t overstay my allotted time. They said the ticket wasn’t correctly displayed and fined me. Tried to reduce fine to £20 when I sent a picture of my ticket hoping I would give in. They don’t know me and how pedantic I can be.

Chased me for 5 years for an unpaid PCN
Part of the industry described by MPs as an "outrageous scam perpetrated on the motorist" (Hansard HC Deb 2 February 2018, vol 635 cols 1159-60).
Napier chased me via their legal agent BW Legal for 5+ years for an unpaid Parking Charge Notice that I was not liable for. During this period I received emails and letters including 4 identical "Letters of Claim". Thankfully the alleged debt is now statute barred.

Since then I have helped many other victims of this industry beat companies like this in court with a greater than 90% success rate.
