I had the worst experience at this…
I had the worst experience at this parking lot. This parking operated by napier parking they do everything against people and try their best not to admit their mistakes. I entered the parking lot like other times, and immediately went to pay at the terminal, but out of 2 terminals, neither one worked, all transactions were declined, I even tried again recently, and for example, the Barclays credit card didn't work, I also tried debit and it didn't work either, and even though I tried several times, the money was withdrawn from my account, but there was a transaction error on the screen. I later received a fine of £100, which I contested, because I was filming at that moment and I also attached screenshots of transactions where there were ID transactions. I received a refusal. And after the contestation the same, so the independents are tied up with them in a gang. Unfortunately, when contesting, I did not have the option to attach video, because they do not accept video for upload. Avoid this parking lot, and this company in general, because they are scammers, who should be regulated by a strict and fair law. I have started a process of collecting multiple data, and in the near future I will also file a complaint with the competent government bodies when I have more data accumulated from different parking lots operated by them. If you have data, please publish it.
Scumbags!!
Boston Shopping Park, Lincolnshire. New parking system, overseen by these shysters! Would be zero stars if it were an option! What a bunch scumbags you really are! The number of people you have conned over the past few weeks via entrapment is disgusting!! No warning you were taking over and no signage at the entrance, meaning no choice but to drive in and boom, £60 parking charges for driving in and out!! No warning that the free period would no longer be free and would still require registering your vehicle at a pay machine!! James De Savery and his scummy employees sleeping soundly, knowing they're making money off the backs of hard working people makes me sick!! Never parking or shopping there again!!
I paid for my parking using card…
I paid for my parking using card (traceable) I put the first letter of my registration in (G) and the machine went all wierd and wacky and took me straight to the payment section so I payed for my parking by card.
a few days went by and I happened to receive a £100 parking penalty from Napier Parking i Appealed it but they declined my appeal. This is the biggest scam of the century and ill never use this car park or these shops again! Its absolute daylight robbery and pure disgusting
Very disappointing
I paid for 3 hours parking and provided my credit card transaction as proof and they are saying they cannot find any evidence that i entered the right or similar registration number. I am heavily pregnant and am driving a new car, so there is a chance i mistyped my numberplate, but there was no loss of earnings for them so I do not understand why my appeal has been unsuccessful. I have emailed to find out what registration number i typed so I can go to the independent appeal service.
Napier have no way of speaking to someone on the phone and clearly rely on scaring people into paying unjustified charges.
Update: they have ignored my susbequent emails including my request under Article 15 of GDPR for the transaction information.
Napier are crooks
I paid to park at Caistor St Edmund, Norwich. Never again. Firstly Napier said I did not pay to park , I have proved I did. Now they are saying I entered a reg from a car I haven’t had for 12 years. In fact I don’t recognise the reg. I had to trawl through old correspondance to check . I absolutely entered my current reg. I have complained to Norfolk Archeological Trust, Napier are aggressive. I have found they have put off people visiting the site and my advice is steer clear of this company at all costs. They are crooks. You can’t talk to them either and you cannot appeal.
Unfortunately, no zero option
Unfortunately, I can't leave a zero star review.
Fined for parking in "their" bays rather than the retailers "free" bays in the same car park.
You can't tell the difference.
To all those caught for very short stays: they won't say but under their IPC membership they are supposed to give you at least 5 minutes "consideration" time to decide whether to park or not. There is also a "grace" period. Look it up w.theipc.info
NEVER go anywhere near Babbacombe beach…
NEVER go anywhere near Babbacombe beach car park in a LWB van. It’s at the end of a steep narrow road and there is nowhere to turn round. Forced into tiny narrow car park whether you want to or not. Waiting for people to come back to their cars in order to try and get out. Got ticket, appealed and rejected. We are seeking legal advice.
Licenced crooks of course
Licenced crooks of course, run by James De Savary who clearly cannot make the world a better place.
Beware of getting your Reg No wrong
Error made entering Reg No when getting parking ticket. Correct payment made for the parking period. Copy of the ticket and bank statement sent when parking fine was raised but appeal refused . Now have to pay £20 or argue it and risk £100! Be very careful when entering Reg No - this company seems to be just interested the money it can raise rather than customer service.
DO NOT GO INTO NAPIER CAR PARKING!
DO NOT GO INTO NAPIER CAR PARKING!
I'm still appealing for being in their car park for 7 minutes and my engine was still running! I tried to pay but due to not being able to pay via app. I thought I'd change car park as I did go to the wrong area. ALWAYS trust in RINGO!
I have a disability and explained in my appeal process to which Napier have not understood at all.
Very disappointing that this process can't be dealt with maturely.
Bunch of scum bags
Bunch of scum bags. Can't even give you any grace time on your parking. Parasites, just ripping people off
I paid £1.80 for parking with Napier…
THEY TOOK ME TO COURT THEIR CLAIM WAS THROWN OUT I WON I paid £1.80 for parking with Napier Parking in 2024, using my card and displaying the ticket in my car. Weeks later, I received a letter claiming I hadn’t paid. I provided proof of payment, yet they changed their story and said I hadn’t entered my registration number correctly. The original claim, however, was for non-payment of parking, not an issue with registration.
Despite all my evidence, they continued to harass me through BW Legal, sending red letters, texts, emails, and constant threats. They even tried to pressure me during mediation to pay a reduced fine of £100 instead of £250, and before that, they offered to “settle” for £20 all of which I refused because I had done nothing wrong.
Eventually, they took me to court in October 2025. Thankfully, the judge saw the truth and threw out the case, stating clearly that their claim was for non-payment, not for an incorrect registration. The judge ordered them to cover my court fees, their barrister’s fees, and debt collection costs.
Napier Parking and BW Legal caused me months of unnecessary stress and harassment over something I had already paid for. I would strongly warn others to keep every receipt and photo when using their car parks and to stand your ground if you know you’re in the right! Let them take you to court if you’re right and have done nothing wrong the judge will rule I your favour . Document everything keep all evidence good luck
I think we should all start a gofund me…
I think we should all start a gofund me and fund a lawsuit against them. I don’t think they would fair well.
Charged £100 for overstaying by 4.5…
Charged £100 for overstaying by 4.5 minutes at their Snettisham car park! Avoid these rip off merchants and park somewhere else.
DO NOT PARK IN THEIR CAR PARKS
DO NOT PARK IN THEIR CAR PARKS! i bought a ticket and displayed it in my window. a week later i received a letter demanding that i pay a fine as i had not displayed a ticket. i sent them a photo of the ticket and a partial bank statement to show that i had paid. they refused to accept my ‘evidence’ and insisted i pay a reduced £20 instead. this proves, to my mind, that they know i am in the right but that they are a bunch of scammers!
You pay for every second you are in the carpark, even if you don't park.
pulled into a carpark as i intended to park and leave the vehicle. Whilst parking a received a phone call which required me to be elsewhere. after the call i took a couple of minutes to plan my route, programme the sat nav, and left.
A few week later i received a £60 parking fine, i was in the car park for 10 minutes. I appealed and it was rejected as they pointed out the terms and conditions. You are charged from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. What happens if you pull into a busy car park, spend 10 minutes looking for a space or waiting for someone to leave, then leave unsuccessfully? You'd better pay for the pleasure, plus the 45p per minute telephone line when the online payment doesn't work, plus the 10p for send a text to confirm the payment.
What a disgraceful den of thieving…
What a disgraceful den of thieving w@nkers, ignoring my valid appeal and ramping up the price, then harassing me on email and text (didn't open/reply to ANY)!
Car park scam
Arranged to collect husband from football match at Portman Rd at entrance of the Wolsey car park Ipswich operated by Napier- traffic extremely heavy so no alternative but to drive into entrance of carpark only to get completely stuck there for more than 45mins as huge queue to exit. We did not "park" or use parking space- received parking charge which we appealed -subsequently rejected. Undoubtedly huge number of fines will have been issued so great pay day for Napier. Took them 3 weeks to reply to appeal with deadline to pay £60 in next 2 weeks or pay additional £40. Also advised that if we appeal to "independent" appeals service we will automatically pay £100.
This is a company of gangsters- do not use their carparks.
Reported to Trading Standards and will contact MP. Appalling.
Unreasonable, unsympathetic and unfair.
Drove through a car park in Norfolk in an unfamiliar coastal area. Stopped to look at the map and decided to move on to other locations parking legitimately in the selected parks. On our return home we received two £100 fines for a 10 minute and a 12 minute 'consideration' period. Cruel, unreasonable and should be made illegal. Scandalous misuse of power and institutional bullying. Response to polite appeal was that 10 mins and 12 mins both exceeded the permitted 'consideration' time. No mention of the 'permitted' consideration time was given. That's our last visit to Napier Parking and the Norfolk Coastline. Such bad customer service and aggressive abuse of tourists.
Ive read the multitude of 1* reviews and…
Ive read the multitude of 1* reviews and I am very sympathetic to the people involved. I would of normally given 5* to the Napier carparks company in view of the way my case was dealt with, but in respect to all I can only give 3* as although I was treated with consideration and understanding by the Birmingham Napier appeals department who dealt with my appeal, there appears there is alot of inconsistancies between the various Nationwide Napier appeals branches which needs to be addressed. My circs:.
I had gone onto a camera and CCTV camera controlled Napier car park on Church Lane Northfield Birmingham early on 16th August, as I thought I had put the wrong post code my Sat Nav as I was going the wrong way and I couldnt just stop on a busy main road. I am aware there is a period of grace on all car parks which I understand to be 10 minutes and reasoned I would only be a few moments check and to re-insert the Post Code so I didn't obtain a ticket. I reset my Sat Nav and then immediately continued on my journey. A few days later I recieved a £100 parking fine for 'parking' for 5 minutes. I was mortified. I immediately sent off my appeal explaining that I hadn't parked in a bay, turned off my engine or got out of my car, I had merely used the safety of the car park ro reset my Sat Nav, then continued my journey. I also phoned their complaints office and was told by a very rude female call handler that it was my fault as I had entered private land and parked for 5 minutes and 26 seconds and my appeal would be rejected ! Well I remained calm and asked her how she would feel if she was fined £100 for doing a responaible act then I concluded my call and awaited the inevitable 'appeal denied' letter and preparing for the next appeal and logical conclusion of taking them to court.
Imagine my amazement when today I recieved an email from Napier Carparks thanking me for providing a thorough explaination for using their car park and having viewed the photos, CCTV and considered the circumstances they were cancelling my fine and no further action would be taken, and thanked me for my thorough reply..
The letter was very polite and explanitory hence my 3* rating. At least the Birmingham appeals branch of Napier are reasonable, whereas I have noticed in the reviews on trustpilot, that a number of the same named car parks in other areas where the circumstances, while similar to mine, appeals have been rejected. Inconsistances like this should be challenged.
