I tried MyTrueAncestry, but personally I did not find the results useful for my background.
My impression is that the platform is strongly focused on European ancient categories such as Romans, Celts, Vikings and similar groups.
This may be interesting for some users but in my case it seemed to over-emphasize a European/Roman interpretation while missing or underrepresenting other important signals that appeared much more clearly on other platforms, especially steppe, Siberian, Xiongnu, Beringian and Amerindian components.
I understand that ancient DNA comparisons are complex and that every platform uses different reference samples, algorithms and labels.
However, I think MyTrueAncestry would benefit from a broader and more balanced representation of non-European ancient populations.
For users with complex or mixed ancestry, especially with Inner Asian, Siberian, Indigenous or Beringian-related signals, the results may feel incomplete or overly European-centered.
I don't want to attack the company but I hope the platform will improve its reference panels, language and presentation in the future.

DNA matches to ancient sites were astonishing as they were extremely close to where my family in Poland, Germany and England originated. Also a friend’s great grandmother was reputed to be an illegitimate child of nobility. My friend’s DNA gave a close familial tie to that family

This company feels like a scam, I have never in my life written a bad review but I feel compelled to due to the horrendous experience so far. I was lured in by sending a photo to see what my cultural heritage is, it didn’t work and I didn’t get a result. Unbeknownst to me they have charging me around £40 each week as they are double charging me for a subscription I never consciously took out. I’m challenging this with their customer service nothing has been done and I’m having my bank account haemorrhaged by this charlatan company!

I found out my great-grandfather was 100% Cretan. My maternal grandfather died never knowing he was half-Crete. Myself and my maternal grandfather's lineage (6 people left) and just now finding out! I am beyond excited and thrilled! THANK YOU TRULY, My True Ancestry!

Poor customer service and a scam of a company

Great service! Been with them for a few years, love the history and learning about ancient tribes, cultures, etc. Always responds when you reach out to them.

The website itself is great, service is also very good. Highly recommend.

I love the analysis... opens up a lot of interesting stuff for confirmation, but the level tiering is getting ridiculous. You're expected to pay more and more and more again. Falling out of love with this as a result, having spent hundreds of dollars..

A diifferent DNA site and the only one that really connects you to ancestors. Includes cM, SNPs, Genetic Distance, the signum of the samples we are realed to which makes further reseach possible. Been able to find the DNA link to previous only on paper links/family tree.
So much information, start small and read/reseach the different remains, the cultures and history of the populations.

Mytrueancestry gives people a false sense of being of nobility and/or royalty heritage. The company is a third party company and uses sometimes inacccurate data from other companies. It is expensive and more often than not makes it seem more promissing and
accurate the more you pay!
The layout and graphic looks sloppy and
cheap.

My question to mytrueancestry was answered quickly within minutes, and the issue I was having with one of my maps was also addressed and quickly fixed, so I'm very happy and satisfied with the service this company provides.

Besides the fact that the website provides new data every three days or so (sometimes two days), it works with powerful tools to obtain the fascinating results about ourselves; indeed, as a matter of fact, we're all connected, as we already knew and sighted - now we can see it, though, through this great DNA experience.
Also: the client support was just amazing.

Purchased Knight level; still cannot access the features. Emailed them several times & no response. Now filing a chargeback on credit card. HUGE waste of time and money. Run away now!!!

For many years, I have been a customer of several DNA testing companies. So, let's say that I have some idea of what companies can offer to the customers based on your raw autosomal DNA data. I have uploaded my father's raw file (23&Me), my own, and my mother's brother's. Results are completely aligned with the known ancestry and locations. Some are unknown but logical. We are here to learn something new, aren't we? I would like to have a result download option and a more visually appealing site (one that is more communicative with the customer), but that is not crucial.

Absolute waste of money you could sneeze and they'd ask for more money 😒🙄
