very poor customer service
Very poor information handling, no contact revolving product status as I wasn’t made aware that my product wasn’t being sent to me because of the complications with teams I removed in my order notes, was only handled when I reached out. Only had 3 options of shirt which was dissapointing. Email response took a long time and I was made to get in contact through instagram which I view as highly unprofessional. Overall took 2 weeks and 2 days to arrive when the website claims to deliver in around 3-5

For our UK Specific Mystery Box, stock availability is more limited compared to our best seller, as this product focuses only on shirts from UK clubs. In your order notes, a large number of UK teams were listed to avoid. All available teams for that product and size were listed within the comment box.
Because of this, your order was placed on hold while we reviewed the options available and a notification sent. We provided the available choices to ensure we could still send a shirt that met your preferences as closely as possible.
We always aim to dispatch orders within our advertised timeframe, however where extensive exclusions are provided - particularly on niche products such as UK-only boxes - additional handling time can occasionally be required to ensure we can fulfil the order correctly.
We appreciate your feedback regarding communication and will take this on board as we continue improving the experience. Our goal is always to provide a fun and exciting mystery experience while being as transparent as possible about product limitations.

The product ordered was our National Teams Mystery Box, which includes shirts from international teams across the world. The notes section is designed for teams you would like us to avoid, rather than to request a specific competition or tournament.
Our World Cup Mystery Box has not yet launched, so unfortunately we were unable to guarantee shirts from nations participating in the upcoming tournament.
We do always try to accommodate notes where possible, but requests relating to specific competitions cannot always be guaranteed unless selecting a product specifically designed for that theme.
We appreciate your feedback and hope you still enjoy the quality of the shirt received.

Terrible website experience
Terrible website experience and the shirts are...meh. I have been with MF for well over a year now. In this time one out of 5 shirts were not great qulaity wise. Peeling prints etc. Now I tried to change the address of my subscription as I am moving and christ this is a pain. Spent 20 minutes roaming a website where half the buttons are not working to find the subscription tab which was just not possible. Will have to cancel, as I am exhausted with not being able to manage a thing so simple.

Subscriptions are fully customer-managed via the self-service portal. To update your address, you simply need to log in, click your profile icon, select Manage Subscription, and you’ll be able to update your delivery details there.
That said, if you’d prefer, just email our team and we can update the address for you quickly - no problem at all.
Regarding shirt quality, we always want every shirt to feel like a great addition to your collection, so if you ever receive an item with a fault (such as peeling print), please do reach out as we’re always happy to look into this and help.

I was sceptical about ordering surprise football sites like this, due to others sites reviewing bad reviews so I went with mystery football due to good results. We weren't disappointed. Delivery very fast and my son turned 10 today and had a lovely surprise with his AC Milan shirt (this season). Will defiantly be ordering again, he said it's the best present ever and was super excited opening the box. Thanks mystery football team. X

Our first mystery kit
My sons face when opening his first mystery kit was amazing.
He opened up the box to an inter miami away shirt. But not only that it was already printed with messi on the back.
Amazing experience and super fast delivery.

Shocking Customer Service
I’m really disappointed with my experience ordering from Mystery Shirt. I requested an exchange, which was processed, but instead of resolving the issue, they sent me the exact same shirt again. Completely defeats the purpose of an exchange and i had to pay extra postage!
What made it worse was the poor customer service throughout. Like speaking to Robots and they used the excuse of the system being AI! Communication was slow and unhelpful, and it felt like no real effort was made to fix the problem properly.
I’ve ordered mystery shirts from a few different retailers before, and this has easily been the worst experience by far. If you’re thinking of buying, I’d strongly recommend going with “Shirt in a Box” instead they’ve been far more reliable in my experience.
Overall, I’d say stay clear.
Also the auto responses below are not legit as they just want to seem like they are willing to help!

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, however this review does need some clarification.
You originally ordered a mystery box, where the shirt is selected at random. The item was then returned due to personal preference (colour), which is not covered under our standard exchange policy. Despite this, we processed the exchange as a gesture of goodwill.
We also prioritised your exchange ahead of our usual processing times following your emails, again as a gesture of goodwill.
You requested a black/grey/beige shirt, and the replacement sent matched this request. It also happened to be the same shirt previously returned. As our returns and dispatch processes are handled separately, and no request was made to avoid that specific team/shirt in the order notes, there was no way for our dispatch team to identify this.
It’s also worth noting that the original return was made due to colour, despite the shirt being black/grey, which aligns with your later request.
We always aim to be as fair and accommodating as possible, however this situation appears to be a misunderstanding of the nature of a mystery product, rather than a service failure.

I ordered 2 mystery shirts both 3XL and the Athletic Bilbao shirt was perfect however the Cagliari shirt was definitely not 3XL and also did not come with tags.

All of our shirts are supplied as authentic products in the size ordered, however sizing can vary slightly between different manufacturers, clubs, and shirt styles. This means that while both shirts are labelled 3XL, the fit may differ, which can sometimes make one feel smaller or larger than another. If you prefer a looser fit, we’d usually recommend sizing up where possible.
In terms of tags, all shirts are brand new, however they are not always supplied with tags. This depends on how they are provided to us (e.g. brand new with tags or brand new in packaging), but this does not affect the authenticity or condition of the item.
If you’re unhappy with the fit, you’re of course welcome to arrange a return or exchange via our returns portal, and our team will be happy to assist.
Poor customer service
I had an auto renew subscription for one of their mystery boxes. I didn’t know about it and saw the notification of the order and within 8 minutes I sent an email of trying to cancel it with my order number and everything like they say to do on their website. They then take two days to email me back saying it’s already been processed and shipped and can’t cancel it anymore.

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, however we’d like to clarify a few points for transparency.
This order was placed through an active subscription, which you had previously set up. As part of this, customers are notified in advance of billing, giving the opportunity to cancel or amend via the customer portal before the payment is taken.
Once billing is processed, orders are immediately queued for dispatch. In this case, your order was shipped shortly after billing, which is something we pride ourselves on to ensure fast delivery.
We can see that you contacted us shortly after billing was processed. However, the order had already been processed and dispatched that same morning, before your query was picked up by a member of the team. Prior to a team member responding, you received our auto-response email, which explains that we’re unable to cancel or amend orders once they have been placed and entered our fulfilment process.
We understand this may be frustrating, but this process allows us to maintain a fast and efficient service for all customers.
If you no longer wish to continue with your subscription, you can manage or cancel it at any time via your customer portal.

Crushed Box
This was bought as a gift and hasn't been opened yet, so I can't comment on the quality of the shirt. It was easy to order and delivered quickly.
My only disappointment was that the box with the shirt in was dispatched in a plastic gray bag. As stated, it was bought as a gift, the box is crushed and doesn't look great for gifting. I've no time to ask for a replacement now, that said, if the gray bag is standard, the box isn't protected and the same thing will happen!
