It was really good to be able to find an amazing photographer for our wedding at a more affordable price. This website gave us a few options & we were able to find someone who was brilliant. The only frustrating point was when I had booked my photographer, it was a little tricky at first to give details of the event & arrange meeting…the website blocked our communication for a short time! It really worried me but thankfully after a bit all was ok & the photographer got the details needed to know where & when to go. Overall I am very happy with the whole experience & I have great photos. The photographer was amazing!

The experiences are great. But you need to try more to find the suitable tutor you need. Not everyone are good. But need time and try in errors and money.

Kayleigh is amazing! My daughters had 3 lessons with Kayleigh for English literature and she’s greatly thorough! Kayleigh also gives feedback on how the lesson went and advice on next steps for my daughter. Thank you Kayleigh

Needed to find a photographer for an event that wasn’t going to cost half a wage packet when i came across mypocketskill it was easy to sign up and make a post of what I was looking for and even search for people who were close enough in distance. All communication went through the chat and booking was made simple. Would recommend to others for any future events or any other needs as they cover a wide variety of topics

I never knew this website existed until my partner had the idea of trying to find a student photographer for our wedding as we just couldn’t afford a photographer at all and didn’t know what to do, when we googled photography students to hire this page came up and saved us! We found a photographer named Rachel on it who was so professional, friendly, talented and skilled! She stayed in touch the whole time we were planning but never made us feel rushed and stressed with getting information she required and on the day she did such an amazing job! The photos look better than any I’ve seen done by professionals who charge 10x the price she did and we’re so grateful this website led us to her as we have so many beautiful photos to remind us of the best day of our lives and she was so helpful and kind on the day as well, she went above and beyond and we couldn’t imagine a better photographer x

I’ve been working with my pocket skill for a while now, it’s given me the ability to manage who I work for and what tasks I choose to do. It’s very straight forward and easy to navigate, very legitimate unlike make websites out there, as a college student it’s given me the opportunity to make money on the side and improve my skills. If you want to have a side hustle and display your editing skills, tutor people or even help with events it’s honestly a great website.

A user friendly platform, full of professional young people

It's really easy to find young people able to help with tasks. Both the individuals we've worked with were really responsive and completed our work quickly.

Great communication and felt very secure

Recently they changed the way you communicate with clients (I do social media), making it so you have to do calls on the platform not anywhere else. They did not make this clear in community guidelines and then you get in trouble or completely banned because of this. They put all the blame on you but don’t put this information anywhere on the site until after which is completely unfair. The communication in general is terrible on this platform. I understand that you have to protect young people on this website but this goes too far sometimes.

First of I would like to state making money on this platform can be easy as long as you avoid the moderation team.

to be honest they are uninformed and have a lack of understanding of their own community guidelines.

here's your answer as to why I'm saying this.
as i'm writing this The community guidelines state "Do use Zoom, Teams, MyPocketSkill Meet (where available) or other online meeting platforms to conduct introductions, meetings or tutoring sessions.

However as i tried to induct a online meeting on zoom one of the platforms following the community guidelines I was told that I must use the mypocketskill platform with an explanation of "Lennox, the meetings needs to be held on the MyPocketSkill link not zoom."
or "Please use the online call facility (Lennox - there is a call button that should be very clear). Community guidelines have been shared."

Following this problem with the team I decided to contact an admin via email which explained to me that the community guidelines are out of date and that 'mypocketskill' are integrating a online call on their platform and ONLY want me to use that.

This was all the explanation I needed to understand why I was being told one thing when the guidelines said the other. I wrote a message to the community team saying the admin explained to me 'XYZ' and that all you had to do as a team was explain the same without just telling me what to do which goes against your guidelines. shortly after this I received a message stating my ability to apply for jobs has been turned off. as if it was my mistake in the first place.

This is a long review and I don't like to leave bad reviews and never have before (check my reviews) However this moderation team 'Zara R and Clova B' deserve it and I hope they fix this and give more clarity on the situation instead of punishing people using the platform as the guidelines say to use it

MyPocketSkill is an amazing website to share practically any skill you have! Although I've mainly been working as a tutor, there are options to work as a babysitter, content creator and so much more.

I also love the way you can interact with clients directly on site, all monitored under the guidance of the Community Team to avoid sharing personal details such as phone numbers which is especially important for student tutors like me.

If you are looking for a site to share your skills or learn a new one, I would highly recommend this!
