We had a bad experience with the company however this is now resolved.

I haven’t even been on my trip yet, but I can definitely say that this is my first and last booking experience with this clown show. We booked the vacation package for a 15 day trip to Edinburgh and England coming up in September, and although the information indicates airfare is included in the package, I would have been money ahead booking my own airfare when we booked the trip a year ago. Also the airfare with them changed day to day, hour to hour depending n who you spoke with. We booked with friends who were supposedly familiar with Odyssey, I’m not sure of that as I think I could have gotten a much better price booking my own and setting my own itinerary. Also, our friends received a paper itinerary in the mai from Odyssey, when I called to ask when we would receive ours, was told “ we don’t send out paper itineraries, just download it”. For the money that it has ended up costing us, this had better be the best vacation I have ever been on, or I will write a review that will make their ears burn. And in the event that someone from Odyssey reads this, your associates each have a different story to tell, your airfare inclusion is shady at best, and if I call there one more time and get two or three different answers to the same question, I’ll be dragging you through the coals. I would not recommend this company to anyone, just the stress of trying to get phone calls returned, answers regarding airfare, and straight answers has been a challenge. I have already planned two more European trips, not with Odyssey thank god, everything is taken care of with a highly respectable trustworthy company,not called Odyssey. Very unprofessional and disorganized.

Booked a tour of Shanghai and paid in full last year. The tour was cancelled in January due to coronavirus.
Still no refund from Odyssey. We are having to chase this through our credit card company now and are amazed a company with such a good reputation will not pay up when all other associated companies, the airline, hotel, train company etc all gave instant refunds.

shelly at Odynovo put together a customised 30 day private tour for my husband and myself. China for 30 days! was fantatstic, all went without any issues, and tiny changes were made with no problems. All the guides were really good, good english 90% of the way. Always there and on time, very obliging. Would not hesitate to use this company if you are looking for a great personal, small group tour customised for China. Very competitive price! and couldn't fault the service. (NZ Ann)

Laura at Odynovo arranged us the most amazing trip around Peru & Bolivia. We saw everything we wanted to, stayed in Great hotels and had brilliant guides (especially Mary-Lou in Cusco/Machu Picchu!). As it was our honeymoon Laura even arranged a few extra touched such as a romantic meal for 2 where they decorated this room and came up with a special menu. Any queries I had at any time prior to the tour Laura always answered promptly and was really helpful and accommodating with any changes we wanted to make. Price wise they seem very fair and reasonable, I had Laura cost an Asia trip and compared it to a group tour website and it was so similar but with Odynovo we would get so much more, fingers crossed we can do this soon! Laura is really helpful and really friendly definitely use of her if you want a trip of a lifetime!

My wife and I had never heard of Odynovo Tours but the service we have received from Joan Qin has been excellent and we will definitely be using her again for our travel plans for 2020. Joan has been flexible in tweaking our touring plans of Vietnam and she has responded promptly, informatively and fully to all of our queries and questions. Before retirement I held senior directorships in major organisations with a role of customer service - improving an organisations efficiency and effectiveness. Joan is a credit to Odynovo and I have nothing but positive feedback for her.

We are just back from an amazing holiday organised by Odynono tours. We had fantastic help from Mr Kong our tour organiser who was so helpful making up our 2 week tour of Vietnam going from South to the middle and right up to the North of the country. We had 3 wonderful tour guides for the areas we visited with such great knowledge of all the places we got to see in their great country. I would recommend this tour company for any tours you might be going on.

Our third trip to China with China Odyssey - and our 5th trip (India/Vietnam) in total.
The 'Angel by our side' on all our tours has been "Leila" who has adjusted and arranged all tours to suit our interests. Accommodation in all cases has been delightful - as have been our drivers and very patient guides. I am a photographer, and being able to stop and take our time wherever, and whenever we chose has been wonderful - such accommodation when travelling with a group would not be possible.
We are at present in discussion with Leila regarding a forthcoming 6 day stop over in Bangkok.
Our last trip to China in April 2019 saw us visiting the mountainous regions of Zhangjiajie including Mount Tianmen where the famous glass bridge and glass cliff walkway are to be seen. Amazing topography where you are literally up in clouds. Cable cars ride through the mountains and appear and disappear like a necklace through the swirling mists.
Next stop the ancient town of Fenghuang. A picture postcard, unforgettably beautiful town.- some built on sticks and reflecting in the river. Some citizens dressed in local costumes. Magical at night.
Kunming with it's famous stone forest, a must, as is Dali with its multitude of beautifully decorated Buddhist temples.
We thought we had arrived in heaven when the abundance of garden and spring flowers in full bloom, occupied every inch of ground space in Lijiang. Words cannot express the beauty - and all reflected in its gently flowing small river. Fancy bridges cross the river at intervals and from arches above hang roses, wisteria and and trails of streamers from the weeping willow trees all along the river banks. Lanterns hang from every building.A photographer's dream!
Next stop Shangri La - in Tibet, according to our Guide - (but not so, according to our Chinese guide when we arrived in Leshan). Oxygen sickness can strike most tourists in these higher altitudes up to 3600 metres. Need to take medication with you - and oxygen canisters can be bought at most pharmacies
Shangri La is another picture postcard city, surrounded by snow capped mountains and hills, and yaks can be seen pulling wooden ploughs in the fields guided by the husband and wife farmers, as in biblical times.
Leshan - we visited the BIG Buddha - carved from the rocky cliff face in 700 AD. We were not impressed by this figure and the cost of the boat ride was exorbitant. Next stop Mount Emeishan - a very long, steep climb of 1600 steps - not including the cable car - which carried 100 passengers each trip!! Magnificent monument and temples at the summit which is above the clouds. Lots of wild monkeys line the track stealing food!
Last but not least Chengdu - home of the panda at Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Set in beautiful gardens pandas are out and about and easy to see very close up - go early before they go back to sleep. You will get a delightful video of a group having breakfast together - bamboo shoots - just a metre away beside the fence.
You will have fun with Odyssey (Odynovo) I guarantee you a trip of a lifetime!

Absolutely superb - the tour exceeded expectations. Odyssey tours and their ability to understand my needs for in all aspects of my trip was excellent. Would highly recommend for future tours.

We thoroughly enjoyed our second holiday with Indochina Odyssey Tours to Japan. We did have a problem with the first train. We didn't realise the massive station in Tokyo wasn't Tokyo station and missed our train due to being at the wrong place. We had 6 minutes to get our connecting train. We had to go right across to the other side of the large station and up and down escalators, but we made it! We also had to get a taxi to take us to a join on tour when we could have picked it up opposite our hotel later and would have had time for breakfast. The hotels were really good, especially Hakuunrou Ryokan Japanese Lodgings in Yudanaka, owned by a lovely man and lady who couldn't speak any English, but we managed to work things out anyway. The Japanese people were really kind and helpful. One even gave us umbrellas when we got caught in the rain. I would recommend this trip. The blossom is beautiful. I've just done a presentation on it for the Women's Club. I think a lot of them want to go now.

We had private tour (6 persons) in Vietnam/Cambodia organized by Odynovo tours.
(We actually left in Bangkok and 4 our friends spent one more week in Thailand).
We had the great experience starting from the booking process that was handled by Laura Li from Odynovo tours. The tour was perfectly organized, everything was on schedule and met or exceeded our expectations. The special thanks to our tour guides:
Mr. Tung(Alex), and Mr. Victor in Vietnam and Mr. Sothy in- Cambodia. They took great care about us and did everything to make our trip very memorable.

Travelled with them to china. Excellent communication and they took a lot of time with details of the trip and particularly my hotel requests. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly and we had a driver too. We saw so much more. We went to Guilin, Yangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing. They took us to the airport for internal flights and , in one case, had to switch our flight as the booked flight was cancelled. We did factor in two rest days as it was a busy trip. Highly recommend. They really wanted us to have a good experience.

We had booked an 8 day Tour of Egypt with Leo Huang and his dedication and attention to detail and prompt correspondence impressed us. This company is the best! Upon arriving in Egypt we were greeted at the airport by Hashem and Mohammed, papers were processed by them. Our Egyptologist tour guides Hazem (Cairo) and Amro (Aswan and Luxor) were the best. Amro taught our girls to read cartouches!! Hazem, your “habibis” miss you! Adel in Luxor was also very helpful and was very available for us. Our trip to Egypt was everything we dreamed it to be and more! Thank you Odynovo. We will definitely travel with you again. We highly recommend this company!

We just completed a one-month tour of China and Vietnam organized by Odyssey and can highly recommend this organization! From the initial planning of the trip our Odyssey Consultant, Femando Shen, provided us with valuable suggestions on where to go and what to see. Femando made sure he understood our specific interests/type of trip we wanted, and his suggestions built on these expectations. As we had expected, it took time for us to close on the details, but the trip proved the detailed planning was well worth the effort.
All the hotels, and cruises recommended by Odyssey were excellent.
The tour guides and drivers at each location were always time. The guides also made sure to select restaurants in line with our request for authentic regional dishes. The variety and quality of where they brought or directed us for meals made us want to rename the tour…the Gourmet Tour! Luckily, we did a lot of walking, so we were able to enjoy the excellent meals without guilt or weight gain.
Our guides were always willing to adjust the planned tours to try to give us the best experience possible. This included an unscheduled visit to a Vietnamese village and the Moat walk in Guilin.
All our guides added an extra dimension to our far east adventure, providing valuable background information on not only the sights but daily life in both countries. We very highly recommend the valuable service the Odyssey guides provided.
Odyssey also impressed us by living up to their slogan ‘You are not alone with Odyssey’. We witnessed them arrange for a doctor to meet a traveler who had gotten ill and the guide to accompany them. It was reassuring to know as ‘a stranger in a strange land’ one would not be alone if facing an emergency. Congratulation Odyssey for demonstrating your slogan was actually practiced!

My wife and I booked our 15 day Indian tour of the Golden Triangle and a 5 night stay in Kolkata through My Odyssey Tours and cannot rate our experience high enough thanks to Owen Zhou for arranging such a detailed itinerary. Being in our 60's we found this style of travel much preferable and flexible to a large group option for about the same cost. Everything went 'like clockwork' from being met by company representative (Arif Ahmad) on arrival at Dehli, a very experienced and safe driver (Mukesh Choudhary) who drove for our tour in a modern air-conditioned Toyota vehicle (cold water supplied) to excellent, well educated guides at every city. Raghu in Dehli, Nishant in Agra, Jitu in Jaipur, Vikram in Pushkar, Jeetender in Jodpur, Ricky in udaipur and Bratati in Kolkata.
5 star hotels were up to every expectation and well selected by Owen.
A company official phoned us regularly to make sure that everything was going well and we always felt safe and supported throughout our trip.
Cannot thank Odyssey enough for making our Indian experience so memorable!

Odyssey Tours has organized two private personalized tours for me: a two week trip to China and a three week trip to Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand. On both occasions, their service was outstanding, everything ran like clockwork, the hotels and tours were fantastic, and they could NOT have been faster to take care of issues. On my trip to China, I emailed them our second morning in Hong Kong to ask them to tell our guide to slow down because we thought she was hurrying us along. Within the hour, they had replaced the guide with a new one. I don't even know how they did it, but they did. I have nothing but good things to say about Odyssey. I will hire them again for our next trip to Asia if they operate in the country.

I have yet to experience a tour with Odyssey but have had excellent service from Nikki trying to arrange our Vietnam Tour for 2019. It has been complicated by the fact we had 5 families to try and meet at different times. Thanks Nikki .

Roger at China Odyssey was very helpful with organising my itinerary of Shanghai, Huangshan, Hanzhou and waSuzhou. He gave me suggestions and was also gave a listening ear to what I would like to be included or excluded (eg shopping tours). I would definitely like to use his service again in future though I think pricing could be a bit better.

Just completed our third China visit organized by Odyssey Tours. Our travel consultant Maple Zheng and tour guides Edward Liu in Beijing, Cathy Wang in Xian and Kevin Bai in Chengdu were all superb. The itinerary for the 14 day tour was flawlessly and smoothly followed. The three hotels, the The Regent Beijing, Wyndham Grand Xian South, and St Regis Chengdu far exceeded our expectations and more than lived up to their 5 star ratings. We expect to return to China in 2020 with Odyssey (Odynova) as our guide.
