I ordered 2 Blake & Lindsay microfibre sheet sets from this company and the one set that arrived was a completely different colour to the advertised image. When I contacted them about it, they advised that I was welcome to return it. I fully intended to do that, but their policy is that it is at the expense of the purchaser. This is not a change of mind, this is a case of a product not being as advertised.

I then provided photographic proof of their item vs what I received and in that same photo, to ensure the same lighting scenario, I included another sheet set purchased from Big W showcasing the colour accuracy between real life and what was advertised on those items. They came back to say that they didn't see much difference between their product and what i got so there was nothing they could do.

I wish I could attach the photo to this review, but the sheets I ordered looked a sort of Eucalyptus green in colour on the website and the sheets I received were a minty green. I understand, and even said to them, that I am aware they didn't personally take the product photos, but it is still their responsibility to ensure they're accurate. I initially thought they had accidentally sent me one of the other colours advertised which was far closer in tone. The second set I received isn't accurate either, but it's at least just a slightly lighter shade of the same blue. The green sheets are a completely differently tone altogether.

As a small business owner myself, it pains me to write this review, but for them to come back and say that they don't see much of a difference and shrug off responsibility is mind blowing.

Please don't order from here if you're banking on colour accuracy.

Update 14/10/2024

After filing a PayPal dispute they reached out and offered me a discount which I politely declined as I have no use for these sheets that are so far off the advertised colour. They responded to my dispute advising that when the sheets are removed from the packaging they feel the representation made by the manufacturer and their website is fair. The packing is completely transparent for one, but if you remove the sheets from the packaging they are no longer eligible for return according to their policy. Go figure. They seem to be steadfast in sticking to their guns, so for what it's worth, I have implored them to review their listing images and correct the colours or alternatively add to their policy that there will be major colour discrepancies that needs to be taken into consideration when purchasing. Again, do not purchase from here if colour accuracy is of any importance to you. It will cost you an arm and a leg to return the item that's been incorrectly advertised, which I can see now, is a fabulous marketing ploy to avoid returns.

Update: 21/10/2024

Don't bother escalating a case to PayPal as MyLinen will continue to stick to their guns whilst looking like "the good guy" by "agreeing" to a full refund in the system but with the continued caveat that despite their inaccurate online listing, items are returned at your expense. I believe the term for this is daylight robbery.

Although I will have to suffer the consequences of purchasing from here (first world problems), hopefully this review saves others from this same dilemma. If you aren't in a position to physically return something to their store, don't be fooled by their returns policy. It is an absolute joke and a clever one at that.
