The boiler engineer was quick, CustomerService poor.
The boiler engineer was quick , efficient, & his manner was friendly. What I didn’t like was my bank account being debited with no advance warning. I had to contact BoilerService via their website. This produced a call advising that an engineer would call. Customer service needs looking at.

You signed up to our Connected scheme which is a 12 month contract which includes the Connected tank monitor.
The Direct Debit payments are part of the connected scheme you joined as these payments will cover the cost of oil you use which is estimated by your annual oil consumption.

Not great at getting the appointment…
Not great at getting the appointment set up and had to chase several times. Eventually when the man did come, he was very pleasant and did a great job. Should not need to be this complicated to book a appointment though.
***Thanks for the reply - just for the benefit of others reading - the message you send is that 'the engineer will contact you within two days to arrange an appointment' which is why I had to chase it up - no one contacted me. The reply could be interpreted to suggest I was not waiting the right amount of time. It was installed within two weeks, but only because I followed up to get an appointment into the diary and as you know, you escalated it to a manager and you kindly waived a month's fee as a result of the inconvenience. The guy who came was great and did a good job, as I filled in on the feedback thing you sent.

We can see that you contacted us on the 29 June to confirm that you had received the BoilerJuice Connected Monitor sent out to you. A booking was raised that day for an engineer to arrange his attendance with you to complete the installation of the monitor.
Once a booking has been placed for the engineer’s attendance, the engineers will contact customers to arrange a convenient date for them to attend. Engineers will do their very best to complete monitor installation within 2 weeks from the date the booking is placed with them. We can see that the engineer did complete your monitor installation within the 2-week window.
We are sorry that the engineer did not contact you quickly to arrange his attendance and that you had to chase this up.

I found the website very easy to use…
I found the website very easy to use and sent my request off quite quickly. It then was a couple days before I had a message from the company offering me a date for the service.

Didn’t keep the appointment which was…
Didn’t keep the appointment which was extremely disappointing after waiting in with no word after a few calls an eventual response saying that couldn’t make it as stuck at other job but left me with no prior warning eventually got a different company who agreed to come within half hour so this guy saved the day as I had taken morning off won’t use again I’ll make my own bookings in future

The engineer that your first booking was placed with was unable to attend to complete your boiler service at the time agreed because he was at a property with a gas leak.
As I am sure you appreciate a gas leak is a serious issue and the engineer had to ensure the leak had been dealt with before leaving the property. He did contact you as soon as he could to advise you of the situation and said he would be happy to come and complete your boiler service once he had made safe the gas leak, but you declined and said you did not want him to attend.
We are sorry that you were not happy with the first engineer not attending but as I am sure you appreciate the engineer must put the safety of customers first. Engineers have a duty to deal with any gas leaks, to walk away from a property with a gas leak would be completely irresponsible.
As requested, we placed a new booking for you with another engineer who attended and completed your boiler service the same day. The review you have posted is for your booking reference 169561 which is the booking placed with the second engineer who attended within half an hour.
