We had a wonderful time on our trip! Our guide, Sigrun was amazing, and the others in our tour group were great. Our accommodations were fine- nothing special, but certainly adequate. The sites were spectacular. We were prepared for the chilly and wet conditions, but it was a little chillier and wetter than we thought it was going to be. I highly recommend the trip and the tour company!

We are in our early 70s and in great condition, so after reading brief descriptions of your hikes, I signed up for a Level 2 walk. This was a mistake. Mountain Guides handled the situation very well, both the leader of our group and the person who trekked 45 minutes to retrieve us and then guide us back to the start of the walk and get us back to base. Very kind, thoughtful people. Icelandic Mountain Guides could improve their service by better describing on their website what Level 1, 2 and so on mean, in terms of challenges. If I had read that I would have to walk on ice on the flat, that would be fine, but up and down steep inclines, I would then have known beforehand that that was something my husband and I could not do. This is not an age thing, it's a matter of comfort with risk taking. A friend who heard my story said that a similar thing happened to her in her 20s, when she found that she was comfortable climbing UP Mount St. Helens (wearing clampons) but walking down was impossible without being tethered to her boyfriend who was the veteran hiker.

Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. We lucked out and had a tour by ourselves. Overall, great company, highly recommend.

Our hike was almost cancelled due to impending bad weather but the weather ended up holding off just long enough for us to go, thankfully. We appreciated their attention to our safety. Our guide Anna was fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable, wonderful 3 hour hike that was one of the highlights of our trip! The only small downside was the others in our group moved at a slower pace, which was unfortunate, but out of anyone's control!

We had a wonderful time glacier hiking with Icelandic Mountain Guides! All of the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and polite. Our tour guide was especially helpful and energetic. He kept our spirits high during the entire 3-hour tour. AND we even got to tour a blue ice cave!

My husband and I had a great time ice climbing with our guide and two other customers - the four of us customers even had lunch together. The guide was excellent.

However, it was an inefficient set up if you actually wanted to climb ice. Considering the price and the length of the trip we did very little actual climbing. I have paid similar prices elsewhere for full day climbs and have done a ton of climbing.

I would absolutely recommend this to folks who want an interesting day out, but not to anyone that is serious about climbing. I wouldn't do it again.

Went on a two hour glacier hike. What a great experience! Our guide was great (can't remember her name) and it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Check in was easy, then it is just a short bus ride to the glacier. I would definitely recommend using this company.

We (4 people) chose the 3 hour tour along the glacier, and we can only recommend it. We had a really nice guide, and walking over the glacier is a must.

We booked Blue Ice Experience - IMG21 and all went smoothly. Wish we could have spent more time on the glacier. We do agree, a little less talking by the guide and more moving about. Would have loved to have gone further up the glacier. But considering our available time was limited, still turned out to be a memorable experience. Thank you!

Very smooth, easy process for booking and coordination. Our guide Jon was excellent as both a "tour" guide as well as a glacier climbing guide. It was amazing that he was able to locate the Northern Lights in a night that was pretty cloudy the whole time except for a 15 minute break. Would highly recommend the company for their Icelandic tours.

It's very beautiful on the glacier. But I feel we walked too less and stand too long. The guider introduced many. It feels most time is just stand there and listen to what he says. The goal of our glacier tour is to walk on the glacier, isn't it ?

Wonderful tour guide. Organized, intimate, informative. I felt safe. The glacier itself is incredible. But the tour guide really went out of her way to make it truly special. Highly recommend!

We purchased one self guided package for our hike. The roadbook and map did not meet our expectations, but we were very pleased with all the information and advice given by Icelandic Mountainguides before the trek. That helped us to prepare conveniently and enjoy a wonderful trek.

Highly professional, fun, and informative guides, who led us across beautiful scenery (where they filmed 'North of the Wall' - Game of Thrones fans). We were even lucky enough to go inside a newly discovered ice cave. Recommended.

With the combo hiking in the montain (hot spring), then glacier, we could discover amazing colours in the countryside.

We had a very nice trip on Vatnajokul last June. Our guide Marta was very nice and showed us some beautiful sights. We can really recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides for a visit to Iceland!!

We had an amazing time with icelandic mountain guides, the hike was long enough to appreciate the landscapes. Will do it again for sure!
