A late thank you to MLV Transportation for making my move from Washington, DC to Chicago, IL so smooth! Your response time was impressive, my belongings were handled with great care, and the staff was professional and friendly throughout. Truly a five-star experience.

A victim of the “bait & switch” scam. I booked with Safe Moving LLC, point of contact Natalie (somewhere in Florida). I relocated from Minneapolis, MN to Arkansas. My original quote was 2300 something dollars & I paid a deposit of $1235 upfront. $585 when they pick up $585 when they drop my items off at destination. I made sure to ask lots of questions to ensure I was making the right decision. Natalie told me the movers come and wrap everything and load it up on the truck this is what’s included. She said when they deliver my items they bring them in and set everything up exactly wherever I wanted. I asked her about boxes she said the size didn’t matter. I also asked about my TVs because they were mounted. She said the movers would only pack and transport tvs, I would have to take them down myself. Ok cool, no problem. I was set for a 4/24 move. The day comes and all of a sudden the price changes, every service is additional fees not included in total price, despite what Natalie told me. They were rude, they kept saying that is not our problem, call the office. I called the office(Safe Movers/Moving LLC) they were no help, Kaylee was so disrespectful after I asked to speak with Natalie the main poc for my transaction. She kept saying, “You will not be speaking with Natalie, you will be speaking with me”. I do have all receipts. The movers said my total went from $2300 to $4000 because the amounts they give over the phone are just “estimates” which they never say on the phone. They call their boss he reasons with my fiance and the pick up cash total went from $585 to $631. Not to mention the mover man told me I had to write a review before they started or else they leave. Like whatttt. But what am I to do I have to get out this place. I have literally no extra money to spare with 4 boys. They don’t care, it’s all about money. Back to the story, My delivery date was set for 4/28 but when they sent new paperwork via email( I have receipts) the date went from 4/28-5/11. Fast forward to 5/13 and they are just bringing my things, demanded money before they pulled in my driveway, of course I didn’t give. I told the movers I wanted them to place my items outside the truck so I could inspect them. They said no and proceeded to close the door. I stood in front of the door so they could not close it cause at that point I see my boxes are damaged completely. Like Hell no I’m not giving not another red cent until I inspect my item. They called the police and said we assaulted them tried to press fake charges. I’m reporting them to BBB. This was my first time ever relocating with a moving company and it was a horrible experience literally am traumatized from this experience. I may have forgot something’s but my blood is boiling. These people played on my top like they didn’t breach their end of the contract. I will be in contact with a lawyer. This is not right my emotions are high. I urge people to get together for a class action lawsuit they can’t keep getting away with this BS.

I would have to respectfully disagree. According to all the low ratings on Google, trust pilot, and BBB yea you all are doing a wonderful job lmao. Your guys called the police and said “ Someone is stealing off our truck”. Remember I also have all video footage. I was recording from the beginning until the police left. I have the entire encounter. You guys tried to press fake charges and the police said “NOPE, we’re not doing that because no one was assaulted”. Also you guys didn’t know my entire home is loaded with cameras. So would you like to post them? Then the police report is non active because they did nothing at all.No charges or nothing. So yea would you all like to post video for video?? Thank ya!

UPDATE 5/15/26. Stevin reached out to me to discuss the review. He was literally the only bright spot in this entire ordeal. He is the owner and came in to pick up the slack where things fell apart. There were numerous issues involving a new partnership and employee issues that surrounded the timing of my particular situation. He even offered a large discount for my next move should I need them again. Give him a shot and the opportunity to make things right for you.
Picked up my stuff in Salt Lake (put nothing down in the floor as promised by Global Elegance moving) and promptly drove 7 hours in the wrong direction to their warehouse in Las Vegas. Today is the delivery date in Duluth MN and my stuff is still in Vegas. No one has “the schedule” after three phone calls and promises for calls back. When I first told them I was concerned my stuff was still in Vegas the first thing he said was “are you using air tags”? Thankfully I am. Hoping I can get it Friday before I start work Monday!

Responsible for bait and switch scam. My initial quote was $3400. After putting about 1/3 of my belongings on the truck, and company returned and said I had “too much stuff,” despite already going through everything I owned and said my new quote was $19000. Then they wanted more money to cancel and take my belongings off the truck. I was forced to cancel my flight and drive the remainder across the country myself. Laughably malevolent scam. Upon researching the company they brokered me with, they have an F rating with the better business bureau, and there are 100s of reviews of the same bait and switch scam, including taking advantage of elderly people and those with disabilities/disabled children. It’s bewildering how they’re still in business and the owners aren’t in prison. Currently in the midst of suing all parties involved

MLV Transportation made my move from California to Chicago, a breeze! The team was professional, punctual, and handled my belongings with great care. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. Fair pricing and excellent communication throughout. Would definitely use them again!
