We are early in our journey but appreciate the truthfulness of the videos!

MK9 taught me a lot about dogs. The free trials were really helpful as subscription is quite expensive for me. These training methods are not for the faint hearted . A lot of time, patience and dedication is required. I will rejoin for a while as my puppy has reached adolescence and I need help!!!

I love MK9Plus platform. Not only is Max very engaging and wise about all things dog and a great teacher, he backs up his views and methods with sound evidence.

It;s great that you can call on the chat any time of day/night with any worries and also that email is available for more in depth queries. I hesitated about the subscription, but it has been so worth it already.

It is so reassuring to have an expert I trust on hand at all times, I have spread the word and would recommend to all who want to swap the approach from trad training (in all its shades) for a more evidence based, holistic approach to having a happy, fulfilled dog.

Great training and so easy to follow

I had a specific issue with my dog that I want to get resolved, so attended the webinar. I wasn't convinced that the webinar was live and as I am an experienced dog owner that also received considerable training on how to manage dogs, not just training and behaviour, I was interested in whether there was an alternative method to help me help my dog with a specific issue. After 25 minutes, I decided the content was to broad, more about selling how his techniques are better and other stories, without actually saying very much, also a hint towards animals getting frustrated as they are not living the life they were breed for being the root of many issues. That may be true for inexperienced owners, however, I know that isn't at the root of the issue I am dealing with, rather its a specific habit that needs to be broken. I decided it would just take far to long to listen to all the marketing stuff, plus a load of irrelevant points and still not learn anything, so dropped off. Now I am getting marketing chasing emails that are not relevant. My dogs are calm around the house, they have excellent bahaviour, walk calmly on leads and so on, besides I know how to deal with dogs that are over excited, it was a specific behavioural problem and nothing I heard in the time I listened to the webinar would help anyone, except to encourage them to listen to sign up. Even if this guy is fantastic - I just hate this marketing approach.

One of my rescue dogs reacts to other dogs on walks, by immediately running at high speed towards the strange dog, barking, sniffs the dog and then loses interest. She has a fear response aroused by the sight of new dogs. This is in line with your marketing material, behaviour motivator and a recurring emotion – connected with arousal function, using the words in one of your emails. I am happy to provide feedback over email with you to explain in more detail why I reacted as I did to the webinar and then to have this removed.

I found the webinar confusing – and did say so during the webinar. I was waiting to understand how your method was different (as you pointed out) rather using the well known punishment (out-dated) and the more modern rewards based system (including shaping/clicker training) that are only piece meal dealing with a specific training point and not dealing with the bigger picture. I still don’t know if what you are presenting would actually help my situation, and I am still not clear where the difference is with the reward learning approach that I use – as my understanding from the webinar is that you don’t use rewards?

I understand my dogs breed, hounds, scent, chase and corner driven. They are well behaved and they get their breed stimulation (I play tracking scent games with them using herb scent). The female who has the habit I want to break, stays by my side on walks, on or of lead, checking in constantly and just lies about in a home with well understood boundaries. My dogs often get comments on how good their behaviour is, which often met with ‘mm, sometimes, unless a strange dog turns up’. I have an open mind, keen to listen to other views, so thought that you may have something completely different.

Like the frustrated dog, I could not understand in the first 25 minutes what the overall method was, lots of stories and stacks of information, but it didn’t pull together cohesively. If you want genuine positive feedback, I can give you a step by step as to what I was thinking, as the webinar progressed. I was trying to understand the high level objective, what do you provide that is different or unique that standard methods didn’t address. I do understand that there is substantial information there to help dog owners, but I still don’t understand what separates it from the standard methods.

I received 7 emails reminding me about the webinar, also full of material that just confused me, then post emails with a count-down clock (I don’t like time pressure marketing). You are clearly very knowledgeable with a huge variety of different methods and have excellent skills to help people, it was the marketing that I had problem with. I still don’t know if what you are presenting would actually help my situation.

I'm glad I found this training. There's a lot of content on the site and you'll find what you can do to solve the issues you're having with the dog. Gentle training based on a strong connection with your dog. You get a lot lessons. It's worth every penny

Enjoying watching videos and putting things into practice. Good content on lives. Have decided my spaniel is not the brightest spark, but she is very enthusiastic!

It’s still early days but I have already learnt so much about my dogs needs to help his behaviour. He is happier and more content in himself. The platform is fantastic easy to use and has all your questions answered. The forum is a great community and often shows examples of similar struggles and how they are progressing. Max is also present on the forum for any questions. The webinars are fantastic too

Very helpful training videos, focuses on what is best for the dog, kind understanding trainer. Good value for money, My dog is already much better behaved and I still have a lot of videos to watch. I would highly recommend Mk9Plus dog training to anyone having problems with their dog.

Excellent dog training site! Provides approaches, viewpoints and insights that are quite valuable in working with your dog(s). I found so many new concepts that were absolutely beneficial to working with dogs ~ and always in a positive manner! Highly recommend to everyone with any age dog, from puppies to seniors. You definitely can teach an old dog new tricks! My current training is paused, but I will, without fail, go back for more lessons. Just can’t say enough good things about Max’s approach to working with dogs!

I wish I had known this 30 years ago when I got my first dog. Max is great and there are so many videos with everything explained in detail. I would recommend everyone to sign up if they want the best life for their dog and the best possible understanding of their dog.

Max is very charismatic and explains things very well. More demonstrations with various untrained dogs would really help as it doesn't show the steps and struggles when the demo dog is already well trained.

I lost faith in social media, so much stuff so much AI crap. But then my feed showed max and I free webinar I thought I see if this site was with real people... And yes he is real I had to watch the webinar twice to take it all in right to end .. bloody brilliant because our 7 month BC is keeping the benefits.. thanks max and the team

I’ve been signed up for MK9 plus for about 7 weeks. When I first signed up for the platform not going to lie I was overwhelmed. Lots of videos lots of advice. Thought I knew what the problem was just wanted advice to “fix” my dogs issues. So just wanted to go to those videos. Couldn’t be more wrong. Watch the whole series. It’s done this way for a reason! Then things start clicking into place. (Took a couple of weeks). I learnt things about my dog. His body language, his frustrations. Most importantly the vet check! I am so glad I joined this platform. What I will say is that if you’re looking for a quick fix, just looking for training alone this won’t be for you. As for the reviews that say he’s just repeating meeting your dogs needs. Yes he does cause it is the most important thing and the training comes after. If you want to learn about your dog, make a better bond and enjoy trying new things together please join, you won’t regret it!

Exceptionally well explained with theory combined with useful practical experience. Clear suggestions to try in a large and thorough variety of areas pertaining to dog training and dog behaviour. I have recommended this course to many dog owners who have impressed by the breadth of ideas and knowledge of the presenter.

I just must somebody get to know, how amazing progress my boy Cecil (poitevin, 6 years old) has made after I have joined MK9Plus Dog Training. For years I was trying to train him to be more calm and easier to live with (and has spent many hours and money) and he was anxious, with low frustration levels, dog reactive and almost impossible to go out due to pulling like train. And now, after I have made couple of changes to his life (scatter feeding, free work, scent games, arousal management) - it really seems that it's not so much - but the results are just amazing. Even my husband, who was slightly sceptical (he's psychiatrist, by the way), because he just has seen so many my previous efforts to fail, is now just amazed. After 3 months, we now have 1 or 2 days a week, when arousal is higher then optimal (but not so high like years before), but 5 or 6 days with polite leash and long line walking, no reactions to most dogs (even play or polite greetings with some dogs). Tomorrow he was able to recall from watching 3 deers on a field without any hesitation. Now I am able to hope, that some off leash walks are in his future - something I totally couldn't imagine only 3 months ago! Max Randall - your work has an incredible impact on our lives!

Obsessed! So good!

I set aside time to attend the “Meeting Them ‘Needs’” webinar and was reasonably happy with the content. It introduced some concepts I hadn’t encountered before and wanted to explore further.

My issue is that the webinar is presented as a live event when it is not. I initially had suspicions due to time skips, but these were confirmed when I received an email reminder the following day for another “live” session—only to find it was the exact same video, including the same mistakes, jokes, and even identical “live chat” comments. Some weeks later, I decided to check another scheduled event. Same automated comments, same video, same exact Q&A.

The chat makes this especially misleading. Several comments were very distinct and clearly the exact same ones as every other time, which a friend also confirmed. And before this, I had found another reviewer raising this exact concern, only to be dismissed by the owner, who insisted the event was genuinely live.

To be clear, there is no indication of this being a re-upload or anything of the sort. Both replays had a scheduled start time, cannot be scrubbed through, is labelled “Live,” and allows you to post messages into a chat feed that appears active, giving the illusion of a real-time event.

Personally, I had no questions I wanted to ask so this did not affect me, but it absolutely would affect anyone expecting interaction. The chat system is designed to make you believe your questions may be acknowledged when, in reality, they won't be. Only the messages associated with the recording will be.

Additionally, a significant portion at the end is spent promoting paid products. This isn't a problem. He is running a business and has a product/service to sell; I get it.

However, the approach felt manipulative.

The package is framed as expensive, then is repeatedly discounted as a “thank you” for staying until the end, creating the impression you are getting a great deal. He then adds urgency tactics by implying this great deal has limited availability, taking advantage of that FOMO feeling, DESPITE him having opened the video by criticising other trainers for pushing expensive plans or training tools at the expense of owners just looking to help their dogs.

So what's my point with this long-winded review?

I cannot vouch for the quality of the course. I only watched the webinars. And while I liked it, I would need to see more to determine if the content is worth pursuing.

However, the dishonest marketing tactics immediately undermined any trust I had and put me off spending money on their content. I have seen enough to know where their priorities lie, and it's not about helping owners, it's about profiting from them.

Very informative and educational. Top man
