I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS NEWSPAPER,BUT IT'S RECENT CHANGES ARE HAVING A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON COMMUTERS, BOTH DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL.

THERE HAS NOT BEEN COPIES OF IT, AVAILABLE FROM PRE CHRISTMAS TO NEW YEAR,AND THE COMMUTER CROSSWORD, DISAPPEARED ENTIRELY FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS.

IT HAS NOW RETURNED IN A HIDEOUS NEW FORMAT. IT HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED. THE CLUES ARE OBSCURE AND DIFFICULT. IT IS LIKE A CRYPTIC CROSSWORD NOW.

I USED TO TAKE JOY AND RELAX BEFORE A GRUELLING DAY AT WORK, IN SITTING ON A TRAIN, AND COMPLETING IT WITHIN 10 MINUTES. NOW I CAN BARELY FILL IN 2 OR 3 ANSWERS.

THERE ISN'T ANY NEED TO INCREASE THE DIFFICULTY OF IT. IT IS SADISTIC FOR JOE BLOGGS ON THE STREET, ( OR IN MY CASE, TRAIN AND TRAM)!
THIS NEWSPAPER ALREADY HAS A CRYPTIC CROSSWORD. NOW IT HAS TWO .
REVERSE THE FORMAT PLEASE.

I like metro bank however they like to block my account regularly.
If I make a transaction they send s text asking for confirmation.
Fair enough except they use a premium rate text number 08085 my plan does not include premium rate text services so they metro block my card and expect me to go to the branch.
Due to health problems I can't go to branch so metro leave it blocked.

Keep getting a malvertising warning from my Anti-virus web shield when trying to read the daily Gamecentral section within Metro.
Let's just say I trust my software more than the website, so annoying though, as the gaming section is generally well written.

Appalling customer service from John Lewis who used to be so trusted. Bought an iron online, had it 8 months, it blew up taking all the power out of one side of the house. Phoned customer services, thousands of options of buttons to press, finally got through to someone and got precisely nowhere, he asked me lots of questions then advised me to take it back to the shop, he couldn't help!

Seems fine to me. I don't like all the adverts, but it's free to use, which doesn't mean free to run, so they have to make money somehow. I really don't understand all the negative reviews here though, and they seem to say more about the reviewers than the paper/website itself.

I like to comment on a lot of articles on Metro, however the moderators enjoy rejecting everybody's comments which do not violate their own guidelines, but allow racism and antisemitism and sexist comments to remain posted. Case in point: a 15 year old fell off a cliff while getting selfies. I mentioned he nearly won a Darwin award. A mod rejected my comment. The moderators are not unbiased. Metro do not respond to email complaints.
Also the poorly written pieces are annoying. Poor journalism standards, no accountability, poor service to readers.

There is a huge amount of antisemitic commentary on the Metro, I complained and had my posting withdrawn. The only reasonable conclusion I can come to is the Metro is encouraging hate.
Just to add, the voting system is untrustworthy, many of the votes appear to be from bots, of which are non posting accounts likely controlled by the staff.
I have had several posts removed that bring that issue to attention, which is, in effect, confirmation of mine and other people's suspicions.
The site is a fraud.

Disgusting Newspaper allows posts that push sexism and racism, recent story: Single white males Dr Who was never for you. Really? This newspaper needs to be closed down, absolutely disgusting!

Metro online stories keep allowing silly racists to make comments against non caucasians and call non caucasians names and stereotype them but when a non caucasian respond they block them so they can't respond but allowing the racism and name cling and verbal abuse to continue. They've done this many times and when you try to call they don't care and put the phone down or ignore your emails. Lots of nasty racist people with nasty opinions and comments on there which they permit. Metro Online team are a bunch of nobodies. The moderators are despicable and they can't spell or use grammar properly. Metro Online and the paper are pondlife

STOP SUPPORTING PARKRUN

I responded with a comment to an article regarding parkrun, that was one sided, biased and inaccurate. In fact it contained at least one lie to push an agenda. Needless to say, my request for a more balanced story was refused and my comment deleted because it didn't meet their community standards. This is the gutter end of bad journalism in my opinion. Believe what you read at your peril.

The article re £42 a night hotel, so untrue..it would have to be such a random chance at that price as looked over weeks in their various location. Never once was the rate £42

What a horrible company that has no respect for its users. Metro online comments section has a far-left political bias. If you have a debate with a leftist expect all the leftists’ comments to stand and your comments to be removed immediately by a third party, they use. If you post about the Hunter Biden Laptop, Trump legal cases being politically motivated attacks, BLM false narrative, statistics showing the BLM false narrative about police killing ethnic minorities, criticism of child sexualisation or sex change operations, Covid vaccine effectiveness stats, Biden flooding the country with millions of illegals intentionally etc, your comment will instantly be greyed out and you will get an email that your comments did not meet the terms and conditions. Only far-left opinions allowed.

Sadly an awful outlet with just clickbait news.

The printing in this newspaper is far too faint and indistinct to read! After the large front page headline text, it is just a blur. This is not an acceptable quality to give the public!
