I had to contact the company and the response was quick and my problem dealt with quickly and professionally. My order was well packaged and the boxes the kits were in were robust and very attractive. I would not hesitate to use Merryhill Mushrooms again.

Customer service excellent - replaced a short shelf life purchase I had made ( didn't realise they has 2-3 months shelf life and I ordered 2 for Christmas in September) free of charge. Will review again when the mushrooms are grown!

Recently purchased from this company although I had an issue with delivery (delivery companies fault) their response time was ridiculously faster than I ever expected!
Looking forward to seeing what results come from the kits!
And from reading on their website, you have help on hand if needed.
I definitely would recommend purchasing from here based on the customer service alone.

Like another post on this forum I am very disappointed I purchased two kits. Followed instructions to the letter and had two mushrooms from one box and none from other. Seems to be a theme here?
At £21 a mushroom it’s a bit expensive, save your money!

As per another one star review I had the same experience. Two mushrooms eventually appeared (took way longer than described) followed by one and then another single mushroom. Despite following all the instructions and contacting the company for help, not even a first crop let alone a second crop. The four I had were delicious but it was hugely disappointing. When contacted, the company were polite but they wanted to shirk responsibility and pass the blame requesting details of purchase, growing conditions, photos, temperatures etc and their conclusion was it was too hot and the two original mushrooms were a pre-crop. After waiting double the expected time, no crop arrived. The only thing that arrived was a plethora of fruit flies.Don’t waste your time or money.

Merryhill are such a great business to work with - brilliant communication and always professional to deal with. Would recommend their kits to everyone, ESPECIALLY THE LION'S MANE!

Bought the Lion’s Mane Growing Kit they offer, had multiples flushes of mushrooms and they were very tasty, easy to grow

Wow the best gift I have ever gifted .
Sent direct for a Christmas gift and I'm receiving photo updates as they grow. Day 9 and he's enjoying a large bowl of shiitake mushrooms with his curry. There's lots more growing as yet and the other I can't think of the type are growing away great also. I'm happy my friend has really enjoyed a different gift. I will definitely order more in the future 😊

2 kits, same as a couple of years ago.
First crop ok, 2nd didnt come to much - same as a couple of years ago.
Followed instructions to a T.
Put it this way, about 80 per mushroom - you do the maths.

Sadly I have to agree with the many other 1* reviews, the first box was great fun as my review said, the second box, absolutely stank and shrivelled down to nothing except smelly waste with no growth at all, the third box managed to breed literally hundreds of fruit flies but not one mushroom. I called customer service to explain that I was an avid gardener of more than 45 years but I was struggling to know what was going wrong, they sent a generic email, check best before date, take photos and send a day by day to day breakdown of what has been done. By the way it was worded they were never going to refund me or replace the kit, maybe they know there is no point unless you have a use for hundreds of fruit flies.

Chestnut mushrooms...Bought for me as a Christmas present and I've just had the first crop (18 upto now) and they taste great.Really enjoyed growing and looking after them and eating a class A product. 👌

I am on my 3rd batch now from my first kit. I got about 30 mushrooms on my 1st batch, then 20-25 mushrooms on my 2nd batch and now I have approximately 20 mushrooms with my 3rd batch.
I have them tucked in under my floating vanity unit in the bathroom right at the back. They seem to thrive with the steam from the shower.

Followed instructions and mushrooms never grew. no refund. only got blamed. would NEVER RECOMMEND or purchase again. I'd rather have my entire refund, which they haven't done.

So helpful - i ordered, they checked with me to see if some were Christmas presents as suggested posting later if they were. Absolutely brilliant service. Great product too, have had before.

iwas given 2 boxes from my son as a present 1pink 1yellow which no pink grew and only 2 stalks of yellow
definitely not worth the money or time spent tried to contact company on the web site and send button did not work . Only 1 star as had to for review.

I bought 4 boxes- 2 packs of 2 boxes as on special offer with one chestnut mushrrom box and one oyster mushroom box each. We used one set and gave the other set to very good friends and neighbours who are great gardeners- we are very keen gradeners too and self-sufficient on veg.
Very disappointed for our friends as they got very few meals of muchrooms from their 2 boxes. We got slightly more, about 5 meals in total from the 2 boxes (as veg in meal for 2 people). Compared to buying organic mushrooms at Ocado, the amount of mushrooms we got for the price we paid was appalling. Will never buy again and would NOT recommend.

I bought a Shiitake mushroom kit for a friend's birthday. It arrived promptly and has been a huge success! They have been feasting on fresh mushrooms for weeks!

Great product but a little expensive

price wise it aint cheap however the taste is great.

had a few problems with my order but they rectified it after emailing them and sorted it out.
