Highly recommend
Each time that I go into Memory Express, I receive nothing but the best. I go in asking for specific products, they have them on hand. Or they give updates/recommendations as to what would work in it's place. Their warranty = incredible. I had a graphics card on it's last legs, and it was replaced without issue. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Staff is always friendly and give assistance when necessary.

is a must go to place very friendly, and very helpful.
is my #1 computer stop now after dealing with them several times
not happy with my computer upgrade
upgraded my computer with a i5-12600k and a MB they did not have the MB I wanted so they recommended a different MB. After I get home I find the MB is not able to OC the CPU potential, they also uninstalled my 2 fans and put in the 2, I bought from them, I wanted them installed with my old fans for better cooling, so I still have only 2 fans I do not recommend this place in Victoria
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service i have made multiple tickets in regards to my order and i have not heard anything back this was my first time ordering from this company very disappointed wont be ordering from here again
My computer refused to start
My computer refused to start. The tech guy at the S Calgary location worked his voodoo and made it work, no charge. He spent lots of time with us and answered all sorts of questions. We then went to Corbin in sales who tried everything he could to solve our very unique computer speaker problem, opening boxes, researching and exploring possible options. Our experience was truly awesome. Give Corbin a raise!
we brought in a computer for repair to…
we brought in a computer for repair to their Mississauga location. it's an all-in-one desktop no one else wanted to touch. they looked at it straight away and found several issues they could fix to speed it up. their customer service was tops. they were friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.
Inventory games they play!
I have been looking to purchase Lian Li Uni SL-Infinity 120 RGB fans (3 pack) for a month and have been checking daily online, then the Etobicoke location received some stock as well as other locations. I rushed down the next day (website stated they had 4 in stock at the Etobicoke location), drove down to find out they didn't have any. Waste of my time and gas. Furthermore, I purchased a NMVe drive at the Mississauga location, showed them the item on my phone (website with the model WD_Black SN850X 2TB) of what I wanted and they sold me the SN770 and didn't catch it until I got home, more time wasted and gas to drive back. Incompetent sales and poor inventory control! The Etobicoke store still shows stock! I spent ~$2k on components last month at the Mississauga location and that will be the last purchases I will be making at this company - Amazon is more reliable.
Headphones don't even work.
Had headphones for like 20 days, mic didn't work, glitched audio all the time, and the horrible plastic holding it together just snapped. DO NOT BUY HEADPHONES HERE.
Power supply gone with a few months
Power supply gone with a few months , motherboard gone within a few months and 8months later GPU dead ..... 3 parts from them never experienced this before in my life wrote them an email and no response ..... poor poor
Wish I could give 0 stars.
Wish I could give 0 stars.. bought brand new motherboard didn’t work out of box and ethernet port was not working. Took it to the Saskatoon store they said it was the ssd that wasn’t working bought new ssd took it home still didn’t work. Tried to return motherboard and they said the pins were bent on cpu socket which I confirmed they were not before I sent it in. They denied return and said there was nothing they could do.
Disgusting pretend deals
This has more to do with their online website and supposed sales. Right now as of OCT 3/22 if you look at their website under GPUS/Video cards. You will see $1165 off 3090 and other silly pretend deals. Most gpus are at or still over MRSP. All these clowns are price gouging. Yes, prices have gone up due to plandemic. Anyway, yes supply chains (shipping increases) and tarrifs, component parts have gone up. Here is the thing, they have not gone up to anywhere they have set these ridiculous prices. Can they break down these costs and justify/prove them? Nah that isn't going to happen. Just accept their reasons without any proof like good little sheep. Another issue is trying to leave a negative review for a product on their website, really hard to do and I gave up. I think it's the reason there are no reviews for a lot of products. Totally disregard reviews at ME. I like to know what customers didn't like about a product even if ME (Ministry of Truth) doesn't agree with them. Unless the review is unlawful or vulgar or attacking a specific person it should stand. I tried contacting ME online and voicing my distaste for the things mentioned above, but that works as well as leaving a negative review....doesn't seem to get accepted.
Useless staff. Won't attempt to fix my issue
Let me preface this by saying I'm a computer analyst with about 30 years experience. I had them build a PC for me, I chose the parts and I didn't want to build it since it was cheaper than buying Windows 11 Pro, I just got OEM and they built it. Also, let me say Im condensing this down otherwise it would be huge.
I had constant issues with 3D applications crashing. Being a tech, I figure the chances of it being new hardware was pretty slim. I did lots of things that all didn’t stop the issue and I documented everything. I also put a bunch of diagnostic tools on the machine and brought it in and told them the situation.
All they did was run a stress test program on it and told me it was environmental. There is more to these video cards than video, lots have audio components too that those stress tests don’t touch. I proceeded to bring it to 2 different locations to test and used different peripherals with it and found more proof of the issue and documented everything again. They won’t look at my documentation, they still wouldn’t put a new video card into even test. I’ve been fighting with this for months and I’m just RMA’ing it myself to MSI because of how useless, uncaring and unwilling to accept responsibility for their terrible business practices. I’m never going to them again. Maybe I just got unlucky? Maybe it’s just their Edmonton South location?
Returned a defective Nvidia shield for…
Returned a defective Nvidia shield for RMA/Refund, especially since it was within 30 days.
Got an email saying that they are denying the claim as;
"and unfortunately have noticed significant cosmetic damage in the form of scratches on the plastic housing of the product. As per our return policy on physical damage, we are unable to authorize a return for this product"
I took pictures of it as I was putting it in the box to ship back. No scratches.
A really bad experience today.
I'd like to provide feedback about Morissau who was manning the repair/service counter.
Yesterday I bought two Kingston usb drives. Yesterday I copied 90gb to the 128gb drive, this morning, I tried to use it and it stopped responding in Windows. I was going to return it right then, but I wanted to erase it before doing so.
I had to connect it to my Linux machine to get it to show up. I was able to format it, but then the device froze and wouldn't respond.
I didn't have confidence in these devices anymore. I decided to return them.
Today at approximately 4 PM on Sunday the 17th of July, I went into the Winnipeg location of Memory Express, I spoke to Morissau, I attempted to return the 2 USB drives.
Morissau proceeded to begin an escalating back and forth where he attempted to talk down at me about how I opened the packaging.
If Morissau has ever opened the packaging for a USB drive before, he would understand that the packaging is designed in such a way that you cannot get the drive out without destroying it.
If you wish to have those kind of restrictions, you should sell products in packaging that doesn't require destructive means to open them.
He then mentioned that it would be hard to resell this to another client in this condition. I told him that this device is faulty and should go back to the manufacturer, and shouldn't be resold. I find the fact that you would resell faulty return merchandise to be disconcerting.
I remember Memory Express of 10 years ago, the memories I have of your company are such that I forgot my umbrella there once, and one of your reps found me on the street and returned it to me.
The conversation with Morissau, escalated to the point that i had to tell him off for talking down to me, he then threatened to not return the product. Afterwards I had to inform him that this was my good faith attempt to return the product, and that if he did not do so, I would file a credit card chargeback.
I was going to turn around and purchase another drive to use, but instead I just left after I got my refund. You really need to provide training to Morissau in how to not escalate interactions with clients.
What happened to memory express from 10 years ago? You need only look at my file to see I've purchased a lot of things from you over the years. Is it really valuable to provide this kind of negative experience to someone who is likely to purchase your products in the future?
It's not like I can't line Bezos'/Canada Computers'/Newegg's/etc pockets instead.
took it in for a fix got it home today…
took it in for a fix got it home today paid 180 dollars they replaced parts had it apart got it home today and it has no battery life have to use it with cord when i picked it up service guy tryed to turn it on would not come on so he plugged it in came on dont get itwhy was not not fixed throughly
Beware their warranty scams!
They sold me on buying their all inclusive warranty protection for three years, saying that it would cover all component failures. The price was about $560 which by the way is about 30% higher than Apple Care plus. No where in their literature does it mention water damage FYI, but any type of water damage is grounds for dismissal of any claim. My keyboard failed on my Aero 15 laptop (not uncommon) and I needed a replacement. They opened up the laptop and saw signs of moisture. on the casing. There was no moisture damage on any of the components, just some moisture staining on the back plastic casing areas. They denied my warranty, and i had to pay for a new keyboard. The thing is the keyboard they removed has zero water damage on it and it turned out to have a bricked bios that probably happened when doing a system upgrade. (again not uncommon) The new keyboard works like a charm but in the end I am out almost $800 because of their warranty scams. As much as I love PC gaming, I am now switching to the Mac ecosystem .. shock .. Their warranties are superior and customer support is legit, not snake oil magic. This contrasts highly with my previous review where I thought they were legit and cared. But that was when I was buying from them and thought they actually cared.
Do not buy from these people
I was told the last mother board that they had in stock was open stock but never sold, never installed, and was brand new. I stupidly believed them and bought it on line. When I received it, it did not work. I was told to send it back for replacement. When they received it back thy said it was damaged and no refund and no replacement. The MB was NOT damaged when I mailed it back to them. These people took back a defective board from some customer, sold it to me as new, and now screwed me. These people are CROOKS
Denied warranty on prebuilt PC due to…
Denied warranty on prebuilt PC due to broken pins on the motherboard even though we never opened or even touched the motherboard. It could only have been damaged when it was opened during initial inspection or warranty inspection when we tried to return it. Was going to purchase server equipment directly but seems even Amazon offers better service these days.
