Floral Arrangement.
Iam flabbergasted at the number of complaints about Mels Florist/ Bloomex.
We went on line to order.They said they delivered to Broken Hill same day .
Their floral arrangements online looked lovely!
Our nightmare started with a message from Bloomex saying delivery to Broken Hill would be 1-5 days.
5 days later in spite of Auspost tracking the " fresh" flowers had still not been delivered.
We contacted them & were told the flowers hadn't been shipped yet !
1 week after ordering the flowers were delivered to our friend in Broken Hill.
Our friend sent photos of withered,"sad" looking flowers & said that they had started to "smell".
We contacted Mel's Flowers with photos of the sad, smelly flowers, asked for a refund which they refused. We were told another arrangement could be sent to Broken Hill.
We asked them to send the replacement arrangement to our address as we didn't trust them.
A day later the courier delivered a sad, skimpy, withered bunch of flowers to our address .
I wouldn't even pay for a skimpy, withered bunch of flowers at the local supermarket Also the glass jar that came with the arrangement was too small.
How embarrassing & humiliating that we couldn't even trust Mel's Flowers/Bloomex to deliver a fresh bunch of expensive flowers to a friend who had just come home after being in ICU.
This company is a scam & don't deserve to be in business.
They have left us feeling very disillusioned & wary about any online florist.
It's very difficult to say anything positive about Mels Flowers/Bloomex. A score of 1 is wrong & not indicative of how we feel about their disgraceful floral arrangements & poor customer service 👎

Embarrassingly Bad - Do NOT Use
I ordered flowers for a good friends 40th. I paid for next day delivery. The cost was $120. The flowers arrived 5 days later and the state of the mess of weeds that was delivered was embarrassing. I was actually mortified. I contacted the company afterward, no response.
Super-sized let down.
I ordered a super sized just because bouquet, shown in the pictures as having vibrant floral colours, to surprise and delight my daughter. What actually arrived was a crappy bunch that looked like they'd been picked out of the bin, stuffed into a jar, and made it seem to my daughter like she wasn't worth getting anything decent for. This has done actual real damage to my relationship with her, for which I will never forgive Mel's Flowers Australia. And you know where you can stick your $20 store credit. The chat response has gone silent on me and I am beyond disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would. Anyone using this service needs to get their head read. It's deceptive and beyond useless. All I can say is that they did get delivered the same day but when what you're delivering is not what was ordered, it's hardly a benefit.

SYMPATHY FLOWERS - I placed an order over the phone in the morning and was advised the oreder would be delivered the same day or the next day. I then received a call which I missed along with an email advising the area was out of their local delivery zone. Why was this not bought to my attention when I placed the order?
Do not use this florist
Firstly I googled florist in the area and Mel’s popped up as the first search but they are in fact not a local florist they are a company run internationally. The flowers I ordered for a family member that lives in another state were delivered to a post office instead of the home address I provided. The relative no longer drives and had no one to pick up the flowers. I asked for a refund which they wouldn’t do unless I returned the flowers (obviously if I could pick them up to return them I wouldn’t be calling about them being delivered to a post office) They offered to resend but couldn’t guarantee when or where they would be delivered. Their call centre staff advised they aren’t located in Australia and therefore they didn’t understand the logistics of the area and how it would be impossible for the flowers to be picked up.

Not even worth one star! Extremely disappointed! I ordered flowers days in advance for my daughter's birthday. They advised that there was no delivery service in Townsville despite their website stating they deliver 'Australia wide.' I was offered a 'Gourmet Gift Basket' as a replacement. It arrived 5days after my daughter's birthday. I was horrified to discover that the basket was full of cracker biscuits and an 80g box of chocolates, nothing gourmet about it at all! I expressed my disgust in an email and was offered a $50 credit for a $100 purchase. I then tried to use the credit to send flowers to my Mum for her birthday. Their website would not accept my email address in the coupon code box even though this is what they said to do to claim my credit. I emailed them twice with a screenshot of the issue only to have generic replies repeating the same instruction. I tried calling but no one answered. Sent a msg via Facebook Messenger, received a generic reply that they would respond within 3hrs. Nothing!

I ordered flowers for delivery in Sydney for the funeral of a teenager. Through the company's own error, the flowers were sent to me in Melbourne instead.
I made five calls to the help desk. Every interaction was useless. I was repeatedly told the support team was based in Sydney when it was actually located in Europe. Despite the urgency and sensitivity of the situation, nobody took ownership and nobody fixed the problem.
I was then told that managers were unavailable at 2:00pm in the afternoon, which is completely unacceptable. Nothing was done to resolve the issue. I was given inaccurate information, false assurances, and no practical assistance whatsoever.
The company's IT systems are hopeless. The online "Can I Help You?" support portal does not work. It serves no purpose other than creating the impression that help is available when it is not.
This was a funeral for a teenager, not a routine order. The combination of incompetence, dishonesty, lack of accountability and complete failure to rectify the mistake is disgraceful. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Ordered same day delivery - then emailed to say that they could not deliver and it would be three days later. Flowers did not arrive - and was told they had been delivered. No refund offered and very poor customer treatment. Do not use!

I placed an order for flowers on Thursday. By Friday morning (within 10 hours of placing the order), I received an email advising that my order could not be fulfilled because the flowers were out of stock and delivery was not available on the selected date.
As the company was unable to provide what I had paid for, I immediately tried to cancel my order. My email was rejected, so I called customer service instead. Throughout the day I spoke to multiple different staff members, all of whom gave conflicting information. Despite the company being unable to fulfil my order, they refused to provide a full refund.
Each time I requested that my order be cancelled and refunded, I would then receive another email offering store credit or advising they would attempt to deliver a different gift on another date—despite me making it very clear that I no longer wanted the order.
The customer service experience, including the online chat bot, has been one of the most frustrating I've ever encountered. Rather than resolving the issue, I continue to receive multiple emails encouraging me to keep my order instead of addressing my refund request.
This has been the worst customer service experience I've had with an online retailer. If a business cannot fulfil an order, customers should not have to fight for a refund. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Do not purchase from this company. Mel's Flowers is in fact Bloomex Flowers, just read all the negative news articles about them. Avoid, avoid, AVOID! I purchased and paid for a next day delivery, several hours after my purchase I received an email saying my delivery address was "outside the area" and would be delivered within the next few days. At no point while I was placing the order was I notified my delivery address was outside the area, otherwise I would've purchased elsewhere. So, my flowers that I paid nearly $200 for, sat in a courier van for at least 48 hours, and delivered in who knows what condition, but most definetely not fresh as advertised. I emailed "Mel's Flowers" and the response from them was extremely disappointing, they couldn't have cared less. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!
Extremely bad customer service
I ordered flowers. Received a call from someone in Europe to say they couldn't provide the roses only order I made and would I like to choose other flowers. I said no I only wanted roses as it was a special occasion. I asked them to cancel the order as I only wanted roses, I specifically instructed the caller that I did not want funds taken out of my account and to cancel the order.
A very SUBSTANDARD, pathetic flower arrangement was delivered to the recipient and funds were deducted from my account.
I rang to make a complaint on 24.06.26 and was told to write an email. I wrote an email with a complaint. I have not had a reply.
I would suggest that no-one use this service if ordering for Australia. Extremely disappointed.

They never delivered flowers that were ordered when I tried to cancel my order they said they would, however every time I phoned their number to follow up I got the same answer “ yes we are waiting to hear from the warehouse” and kept on putting me off It’s a scam don’t waste your money because they will screw you. It’s based in Canada I think but have call centre in India

We had a lovely lady retiring from work & ordered deluxe sized flowers to be delivered to the workplace before her knock off time. I received a phone call from the courier half an hour before the delivery cut off time telling me she wasn't going to make it by COB & asked for my home address. I told her that doesn't suit because the flowers were for a co-worker that was retiring & the flowers were going to be presented to her from the Director along with speeches at the end of the day. I asked her to cancel the order & I left work to get another bunch from somewhere else. The delivery lady arrives as I am leaving work with a little box that supposedly had these "Deluxe" bunch of flowers in it... I reiterated to her that I cancelled this order & will not be accepting it as I had to go & purchase another bunch & will be contacting the company for a refund. She called the "office" whle she was here & explained the situation... I assume, as she was speaking in another language... & when she hung up she told me that they would refund me, apologised & left.
I received an email this morning saying that they will not be refunding. I tried emailing back but emails bounce back due to full mailbox. The phone number on the website is some sort of Call Centre that can't do anything about anything. It is impossible to get through to speak to anyone - this company is a SCAM. BUYERS BEWARE!

Absolutely shocking service. Paid a premium price, the flowers weren’t delivered on time, they sent the wrong flowers, the vase was missing, and then refused to give me a refund. Zero accountability and a complete waste of money. I will never use this florist again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
