My son and I went to the store in Ontario, Ohio. The store is huge and has so many things to choose from and the prices are reasonable.

I was looking for a Quiche in the deli dept. and a young man name Adam helped me and said they were sold out. He then proceeded to check the back knowing that they sell out really fast. He came out with a box of them and made my day. Meijer you have a great employee! Thank you Adam

This is by far the worst experience I have very had. The one in canton Ohio is so slow and they are so rude and do not care about their customers at all. Please please please don’t go to this store for absolutely anything. I hate Walmart and would recommend them 10/10 compared to this dump. I wasted half hour of door dash time and money for them to not even help me and tell me it is the way it is. That is after I spent 10 minutes roaming the store just to find an employee to begin with. I woke up on Memorial Day to make extra money and ruined my whole experience

Meijer had Georgia peaches on sale - the skew did not match the signage so I asked the produce person in the department and he verified that the skew would show sale price when I went through the check out.
I went into the self checkout and it priced at 3.99 a pound which was 2.00 more than the sale price. I called the Meijer employee that handles the self check out and she criticized me for not verifying the product number. I told her that I asked before putting them in the bag if that was the price even though the skew was different. She then continued to tell me that I was wrong and should look at the skew - She was very rude. I told her I didn't want them so She took them in a huff. I looked at my receipt and she did not take them off my receipt as I asked before paying my bill. I then proceeded to the Customer Service (what a Joke for a department name).
The person at Customer service asked - "well where are the peaches" I explained that the service person took them. She then went to the wrong service person rather than asking who was it? I I then told her that it was the other self checkout lane. She then told me that she would never pay that much for peaches. Dahhh that is why I told them I didn't want them.
Meijer had better improve their customer relations- this is why I will go to another grocery store rather than Meijer.

The bathrooms all the toilet paper was laying on the floor instead of the holders they. Should be in. They were not broken the holders I mean things were broken and set aside leaning against the wall.
This is the ladies rest rooms.
We’re not animals and should not be treated as such. Do you know how many germs are on the floor???
I might as well been outside on the street releasing myself.
Prices are high and we should not be treated so poorly.
This is the Grand river and Lasher store in Detroit. (Mostly Black shoppers)

I shop Meijer alot, as its my favorite store located in Portage Indiana. Usually have positive experiences when I go.
Trained, efficient cashiers, friendly and professional... a few exceptions of course, but they are no longer there.(wink)
Store is hugh, well stocked, a variety of brands available. Bakery, deli, fresh meats., veggies and fruit..always!
Big respect for the head managers, Jim who you call to get things resolved..by-passing the Bullsh*t.
On my recent visit, I wanted to replace a few fish that transitioned, to fish heaven, and to my surprise they had a sign up ..buy one for $1.00 get one free..which is nice since many are priced at 4 to 5 bucks each.
Speaking with the staff, which he asked to remain anonymous, I had noticed what appeared to have been some tanks with oxygen pumps off and fish grouping at the top..I scolded this young man and told him I was going to take pics of this and send it to Peta. The young man opened the slide doors in front of the tanks exposing the pumps going..he explained that the fish often did that when he came around, thinking it was feeding time. I apologized quickly, relieved, because I had seen once, (at a different location) where they turned off the pumps, and let the fish die..if they didn't sell.
Meijer is going through remodeling and wanted to sell off the Remaining fish..but even at 1 dollar..they still had quite a few. I told the young man, the manager should just sell them 10 for $5 bucks, to clear them out...so he went to speak to his manager, which was Polly, also a supervisor with backbone. To my delight, Polly told him to let the customers have them for...free!
Instead of killing them, or trying to get money..she opted to let Meijer customers take them home ..no charge. As a animal advocate..this meant a lot to me.
Exception was made for the sake of the living beings we call Aquarian fish, and for the good of the customers.
So, top respect to a really great store with great leadership! 👏

I worked at Meijer over 23 years.I injured Myself twice and I had so many problems with them.They refuse to help me financially.Even tho I was working 3 jobs and got paid for one .They are so under staffed it's sad .I did so much I hurt myself so bad.Im out of work and disabled.

Meijer brand foods are absolutly disgusting, even dog food seems to be horrible, my dog just looks at me like I'm a idiot when I feed her that garbage, so I quit buying the dog food and any Meijer brand food as far as that goes. The stuff is absolute nasty garbage

Store’s always a mess, shelves half empty, and prices keep creeping up. Checkout takes forever, and self-checkout is a joke. Employees seem overworked and barely around when you need help. Used to love shopping here, but it’s just not worth the hassle anymore.

company is terible and managers should be ashamed they are rude and nasty,i think these are the type that look down on the poor folk of society especially the hungry

Arrested kid for stealing chicken for lunch that worked for you,he walked to work for you every day, how about you help the kid out, all the millions this store makes and you have a kid arrested, a kid for eating lunch on your dime.
