I used to shop at Kroger's but became concerned when an investigation was opened into their practices regarding seniors. I then decided to try Meijer which I previously used at my former address. However, now I an using a different Meijer, the one in Rossford. This is about the third time I've used this store. I had just alright experiences until today. My delivery window was between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. However, I got a text asking if they could deliver earlier. I responded by texting back no, that I would be at lunch. I returned to my apartment by 1:00 PM ad awaited my delivery. I was located at a chair near to my door so I would hear a knock. It was about 2:00 PM and I still hadn't heard anything. I looked at my cell phone and saw a texted photo of my groceries sitting outside my door in the hallway. This forced me to pick up my grocery bags and bring them into my apartment. I chose delivery because I have physical limitations. I have ambulatory and lumbar disc issues which make it difficult to stoop and pick up things. However, I was given no choice unless I wanted to leave my groceries in the hallway (I live in a senior residence). Moreover, when I got the items into my apartment I realized I was missing an eight pound bag of apples. However, I do not know if I was charged for the apples since I never got a receipt. later when I returned to the Meijer website they didn't even recognize my sign-in password which I had written down. I texted them my order number asking for a receipt and am still waiting. In desperation I called their 800 number which was supposed to be operational until 10:00 PM. I made the calls at 7:51 PM. No one ever answered. I am fed up!!!!! Frankly, I don't know where else to shop to deliver. I am extremely frustrated by this treatment and am waiting for Meijer to make it "right". I have yet to hear back from customer service. Also, after "dumping" my groceries in my hallway my shopper failed to respond to my texts asking questions about my "delivery".

Meijer has been generally good everytime I visit. Staff were friendly and helpful when I couldn't find something.

I'm only taking away 1 star as I think they can improve the availability of their products. Re-stocking seems to be delayed.

Stephanie at Meijer Deli Rossford OH made an excellent Royal Rolls deli tray for a funeral visitation I attended! I was very appreciative of the prompt service and care. The tray was just what I needed.

I am sick and tired of you offering these mperks rewards and as soon as I get $5 or more you kick me out I'm sick of it you people are idiots to keep kicking people off I will not be shopping there anymore and I want my five bucks and I'm going to tell everybody

The worst training you can find. Their business has the worst people because all you do for training is these preset modules assigned to you. You sit in a cubicle for hours on end doing repetitive content. Once you actually get to do you job for the first day, you have to then start training but you’re expected to operate like a tenured employee. On top of that, people here couldn’t care less about stocking and FIFO doesn’t matter. Not even higher ups will do anything about it because: “people don’t care, they don’t pay attention. That’s their problem, not ours.”

This trash company hasn't changed. Instead of approaching people as actual human beings, they still continue to rely on extremely strict, unfair, one sided policies that just treats people like criminals. Doesn't matter what actually happened or how long you've been an employee or a customer, doesn't even matter how loyal you've been to the company. They would rather treat you like shit than as an individual if it means they can cover their ass....

Can't wait for this company to fail, because their policies guarantee it.

I shop at Meijer’s weekly. Staff is so friendly and helpful. To name a few; Amya at customer service is always so upbeat. Marie the greeter at door is very welcoming. Margaret on self check is so observant and quick to be helpful . Donald in produce is so friendly and while sticking if something is out - I shop early - he goes in the back to get it. Then today as I was loading my car I had a 24 pack of water and a worker, Tygger , was collecting cart and offered to to put in my car. I was opening the plastic to take bottle out so as to list from cart. Very observant snd appreciated. Good Perk offers and friendly, helpful staff keeps me shopping at Meijer. Plus incentives.

Meijer went to the crapper after the family passed or retired. Corporate running things to the ground (greed) ...
Lost profits over time from no sales, hour cuts. Folks leaving cos there's no longer a living. Only benefit being the weekly PT paycheck. Most depts. running on skeleton crews or just leads.

Empty or abandoned carts every other aisle, and boxes from stolen merchandise. It's a joke. One could go on---but you get the point. MANY loyal customers saying the same thing "what the heck happened after Fred/Lena died? The place sucks! You can't hire more people cause they don't get hours cause you're not making money!"

Corporate takeover. Running things to the ground (mgmt chips about it all the time) Very sad, when my home store USED to run like a flagship. That was 2022.

I have been having my groceries delivered for years. I have had no issues until today. I had a question about Mperks and had to deal with a chat bot and after answering question after question it suggested I call the customer service number. I got so frustrated, I just got out of the so called conversation. Basically M perks were used but I did not get the items.

The produce department in Valparaiso, IN is in need of better quality of fruits and fresh vegetables. The greens look like they been dead. The fruits are tasteless like the oranges, strawberries, melons etc. This has become for many of us. Food is expensive and quality is getting bad at this Meijer. I’m have given This Meijer location hopes to recover but it has failed me time and time again on their low quality produce.

The website and the app are almost impossible to navigate and pay. I tried paying 4 different times and different ways with different cards without success. The 5th time it worked after not being able to use my bridge card which seems illegal. I will NEVER shop here online again. Kroger will be my choice. The excuse they gave me for the app problem is that they are small because they only operate in 5 states. That if they fixed the bridge card problem it would crash the website. What??!! So they know and are ok with it. Unbelievable

While I was in fashion I noticed 2 other girls not working actually laughing and giggling because they are apparently in high school and not at work literally picking on another employee Brandi who was just doing her job. This place disgusts me only reason I go in is to see old employees that care about this store but are all being played . Union needs to get in there immediately.

Easter Sunday, not like any other day at Meijer, there were no small carts at he grocery entrance, No Red baskets at the grocery side at the Tittabassee store in Saginaw MI. One red basket was available, but was unable to remove it from the stand. So I literally dragged it around. I ran into a manager, wish I got his name, said to him, there are no small carts or red carry carts. He seemed totally unaware to the issue which I'm sure he was as he was strolling around produce aisles looking clueless. I want though the checkout and when I was leaving, there were miraculously approximately 10 red carry totes at the door. No greeter as there usually. Seems to be a policy on weekends and Holidays to "hide" the smaller carts and baskets to prom
ote using the large carts to "impel" shoppers to fill the larger carts. Simply Ridiculous!!

I shop at the Ypsilanti Meijer store, because of it being only about a mile and a half from my home. My likes and dislikes are below.

Likes:

1) 90% of the prices for their products are among the lowest among supermarkets in my area. They really beat out Kroger and Busch's Valueland!

2) Their produce is the best quality.

3) They offer a great selection of products.

4) They offer a great selection of brand names.

5) They reward customers with PERKS (points earned on purchases) and coupons to defray their costs.

6) Their customer service is fairly good most of the time. Justin and Greg do a great job.

Dislikes:

1) Some of their prices are unreasonable, like their Welch's Light Concord Grape Juice and Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin bread, which are way too expensive!

2) Too often, their stockers block aisles.

3) Many of their pharmacy staff are unfriendly.

4) Not enough aisles are open.

Be very careful when shopping here. Always check expiration dates. They have tons of expired stuff on their shelves. Particularly meats and dairy that I have found to be a month or more past expiration. Also their pharmacy really struggles to get prescriptions filled on time, leaving me without my medications for days at a time. I’m switching to another store/pharmacy. It’s just gotten kind of ridiculous

Best quality for the cost. Meijer offers reasonable prices with higher quality, especially on things like meat and vegetable compared to other big box and discount food stores like Walmart, Aldi and Sav-a-lot. The number of wrong prices, mis-located product and lazy employees has greatly increased since COVID...

Ik heb 2 paar schoenen besteld en betaald, de schoenen zouden binnen 3 dagen geleverd worden.
Nu al ruim 4 weken verder en ik hoor maar niets, laat staan dat ik de schoenen zie.
Ik blijf hoop houden maar ik zie nu dat er veel negatieve reviews zijn geplaats over dit bedrijf.

Been shopping Meijer for years, not better or worse than other options but.....WATCH EXPIRATION DATES ON EVERYTHING! Especially refrigerated items. Routinely find items that expired weeks or months earlier on the shelves (finally took a package of black olives off the shelf I had looked at for 2-3 months that looked like it contained sludge). Staff regularly blocks aisles as they re-stock and make it difficult to impossible to reach what you are looking for. I was yelled at by staff for entering an aisle they had blocked off to clean up a water spill - they blocked the entire aisle when the spill was in the center taking up about 5 feet of floor space - my selection (at the end of the aisle) was nowhere near the spill. Routinely only open 1 or 2 full service checkouts.
