I thought the presenter and the information was great, and incredibly helpful.

The webinar was very thorough and touched on a lot of topics, as well as addressing people's individual questions. It gave a very good basic understanding of how things work, so that we can start planning and looking at our options.

It is great to understand the key factors to consider when planning for college.

These webinars are a wealth of information, especially for us parents going through the College process for the first time.

Grandparents looking to gain an understanding of what our children and grandchildren are experiencing and how we might possibly assist.

Used them for my grad school loans and now for our child. Very straightforward and they didn't hammer me with gimmicky marketing like two other companies we considered.

Great content; great use of time; I felt that all questions were addressed in their raw form instead of being distorted into ones which fit an agenda.

I appreciate the effort you made to put this together, the work you did to advertise so that I would know it existed, and hearing from the array of different financial aid officers at different schools to get different perspectives. I got a lot out of it - even thought I may have only learned one new thing (as this is my fourth kid starting up college in the fall) - many of my assumptions were reinforced w/ evidence. I found this a very worthwhile use of my time. Thank you.

1/27/2025-update I wrote this review for the sole purpose of informing parents that they MUST be extremely vigilant in the Student loan arena.

MEFA changed My son from primary borrower to cosigner and made me the Primary. they did this without telling us or giving me a chance to SAY NO. they slipped it in loan docs. This has created issues, (my son will not receive bills for his loan it will be up to me to pay then collect from son. Son will not get any tax benefit from interest payments, unsure if son will receive full credit on his credit report. Refinancing in his name is now all but impossible. I only found out because they sent him a letter stating he is the co signer and is only responsible if I the dad defaults. This is INSANE and should be illegal.
Response to MEFA response... standard phone number and website No one to discuss it with. Basically useless response designed to make it look like they care but web site and phone number are just marketing. It truly is unbelievable that they are allowed to exist.
2/26/2025...I received a call from MEFA, I was told they would unwind the loan take back the money from the college. When I asked how this would work, credit ramifications, ramifications to getting another loan.. The person I spoke with did not know and told me to contact the school. I'm reaching out to the school and other lenders to see if I can get any answers. I will update review as more info comes up.
