Unfortunately, I had a poor experience with MEFA. I can handle mediocre customer service that is rough around the edges at times. The first time I called, I felt like I was speaking to a bill collector. I had mentioned several times that I did not want to apply, If all my income from both primary sources could not be utilized. I started a new business this year. I was told it would not be necessary. I provided my base income from one position which was good. Unfortunately my debt to income ratio changed when Mefa learned I owned more than one property. I was transparent from the beginning of the process. They never attempted to contact me regarding this as promised. They approved me at a completely different interest rate. In conclusion, there was nothing they could do about changing the approval. Overall, my rating is based off incompetence and lack of communication. I wish I had spent my time with another company from the beginning like laurel roads. Instead, I decided to just immediately pay my highest interest rates off. Personally not the way I would run a business.

The information was clear and helpful. It was presented well.

MEFA's resources on FAFSA simplification have been very well done. They have made it easier to understand than other organizations in the financial aid world. I appreciate that they want to help students and families understand the changes to FAFSA, and am glad MEFA can present the complex information in an easier to understand format.

This webinar was very straight forward compared to others who used way too many mnemonics which got confusing. Everything was simple and to the point.

The presenter was very knowledgeable. The power point slides were very helpful, very clear and concise. I could not think of anything you could have done better.
