From the states, I traveled to Edinburgh for a wedding and rented a kilt. Multiple people at McCalls joyfully helped me get sorted with my first ever rental. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming.

I recently bought a new kilt and day jacket with the accessories from McCalls shop in Aberdeen. It was a really great experience from the initial zoom call for measurements with Ailsa till collection. The staff in the men’s department made it a very enjoyable experience and thoroughly delighted with the outcome and would highly recommend. Our youngest daughter was getting married and the groom also hired a kilt outfit and again it was a great experience with Craig and Nikki. Many thanks to all.

Used McCalls for Brothers Wedding in May as he used same for himself and Best man.
Items all picked up by one person and taken to Drumtochty Castle so little chance if hiccup with order.
In my case was a pretty big hiccup.
I had been asked by staff to try on a pair of trousers just for size and that correct type same as brothers would be organised!
Trousers sent were ones I had tried on AND had NOT been taken up to fit. so had to run around organising safety pins to pin hem up!
But being the wrong trousers in both style and colour was an absolute joke!
This was followed by the jacket which was also not the same as brothers and also had buttons missing.
I was so irate decided not to respond incase I went to far but now a few months later and having just been sent a review request by McCalls can compose myself and warn others to check at beginning, check again a week before and check again on pickup day BEFORE you leave shop!
I will never use them again but in their defense I trusted them to deliver it correctly without checking again on the day

Fantastic service , boys kilts were beautiful even hemmed the kilt as they didn’t have the size. Collection was fast and returning items too ! Thank you so much 💗

I was 1 of a group of 6 renting kilts for my friends wedding. We were dealt with by someone who seemed very inexperienced, who couldn't seem to grasp we all required the exact same kilt & accessories, as we were part of the wedding party. We were totally understanding of the fact that perhaps they were new, but there was no support given to them. We felt we had to go through everything at the end to make sure it was correct. Many items were wrong or missing. Upon picking the kilts up the day before the wedding there were still items missing that needed corrected. I tried my kilt on when I got home and it was nowhere near the correct size! (Too small). As I was unable to return and get it fixed, I had to do what I could to get it to fit myself. All in all, the experience wasn't pleasant, and left the groom frustrated that we weren't dealt with in a professional manner. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning!

Best place to go for kilts and jackets. Love my new tweed day jacket.

Flawless services from start to finish, I really enjoyed the hire.

I hired a full outfit for my daughters Wedding last year from the Glasgow shop with the Wedding in Aberdeen. On the morning of the Wedding I was getting dressed and noticed the Jacket had several frayed holes in the seams which were quite noticeable when worn. With two hours to go before the Ceremony I had to rush to your Aberdeen shop to pick up a replacement.

Professional staff with a focus on the customer and the customers satisfaction.

I ordered a couple of items online for a 50th birthday. Ordered them on the Wednesday night and paid first class postage to ensure they were here for the following Tuesday (birthday day). When they hadn’t advised they had been dispatched and nothing arrived by the Monday I called up and was told that the Aberdeen branch was waiting on the items arriving from Glasgow and the person on the phone was quite dismissive. I had not received any update today they were waiting for the transfer or anything. I feel very let down as the items are not likely to appear today for the actual birthday! Almost a week after ordering them and paying the extra for first class delivery.

Great service, knowledgeable advice and really helpful styling suggestions when buying a full kilt outfit and faced with their huge choice of accessories. Couldn’t have been better and would not hesitate to recommend.

We rented 5 kilt sets I. summer 2023. These are supposed to be checked prior to issue to customer. I work away so I picked mine up last minute.

In the day of the wedding the groom was getting ready and the shoe laces snapped.

I who was the best man had to give him my shoes luckily the same size and I had to try and tie the laces together and bodge them up at least for the photos.

When we returned them and highlighted this the blame was put on us, the customer that we hadn’t checked the stuff.

I accept they weren’t checked but to put the blame on the customer is wrong and clearly a lack of quality control in McCalls.

In return we were offered a 20% discount on next rental! CLEARLY WE WILL NEVER RENT FROM THERE AGAIN!

The attitude of the lady at the desk in Broughty Ferry shop was shocking!

Terrible service.

I hired my kilt from McCalls for my son's wedding, and everything went exactly as described. The kilt was there on time, all parts were in place, and they were flexible on pick and drop-off times. Would recommend
